Very true. The entire of Canada is a mess. Its global ranking, lifestyle, and living conditions are often exaggerated. Today's reality includes soaring food and housing costs, inadequate immediate healthcare, difficulty finding even low-paying jobs despite high levels of education, rising crime and drug problem, making it seem like Canada just unstoppable today.

I once work at a place with all indians and there were only 5 white people 2 Africans and 1 Muslim they always treated us like crap at that work place you go to a fast food place or bank they serve there own kind faster then anyone else they complain we all are racist but in reality they are the ones who are racist the only way most of them made money to come to Canada was scamming money out of people from there own country they bring nothing but shame to my eyes it's time for us Canadians seriously do something about it our we all are going to be left in the wind

This is not an isolated incident. Brown guys in delivery jobs, especially students from South Asia, face this kind of humiliation in everyday life. Some of these rich white privileged people often forget that while they are paying for the service, they do not own the delivery people. Regardless of numerous such incidents, every year, many Indians are coming to the US or Canada - many legally and some illegally. If Canada removes the visa requirement, tomorrow more than half of Punjab will be empty - this is the reality and still many Indians don't mind the humiliation. Living a life in a Western country, and owning expensive phones and cars that's what most of them want. I'm not talking about the genuine students who enroll themselves in universities, get decent jobs after graduation, and live a dignified life.

I came in Windsor Ontario as a foreign worker in 2009, wasn't the best time to look for a job there but still. I did 1 year of studying, worked again, left for Alberta in 2012 where I still am. Got my PR in 2014 and citizenship in 2022. Most of the things I hear against living in Canada must be true, I don't doubt it but I'm just not aware of them. I didn't even know there was a bank account freezing during COVID. It wasn't easy to get a good job, I had to leave for a small community in Alberta to get the most of what I wanted and that's why I am oblivious to the harsher reality that people have to endure in Toronto or Vancouver. But the thing is, as soon as I landed in Toronto and got robbed 50$ by some guy (this is just an anecdote not the real reason), I knew I shouldn't try to make a living there. I know job opportunities are in those big cities but please, if you can, there are great communities that need people, workers, consumers and families. If you can land a job there, move! At least try. It doesn't even have to be that far up north, nor to be a mini small village. Small city, rural living, no criminality, cheap housing, lots of space, family friendly, no traffic, no wait time to see a doctor, friendly people, douchebags, we have it here. Are they drawbacks? Yes of course. Need to drive 1 or 2 hour to get a scan or an MRI, car dependance is exacerbated but hey, it feels like a free country where no one have been overpriced...yet.

we need to take into considerations, these opinions are from a few people... Immigration is just 1 factor that affects services and housing provided by the government. But in all reality a lot of this is more politics, business. If the government supplied affordable housing (apartments with 1000 units at affordable rates with a low/medium standard) and a person had the choice to rent from subsidized program or an investors condo (mid/high standard), than investors renting their units would have a base rental price to compete with, giving the government control (hopefully in the interest to the majority). I was considering migrating to Canada or USA before covid. But covid showed the reality of both so I ended up staying home.

As someone who lived in Quebec for 8 years, I can say that Canada has an undeservedly good image abroad. It's a trap for immigrants, where they suck out all their savings and energy. No surprise there, \n\nCanada is NOT attractive to migrants anymore due to multiple reasons.\n\nSoon a 1 bedroom apartment will probably cost 5000$/month for rent in the Major Cities making it impossible to settle here for newcomers.\n\nThe healthcare system has serious problems due to a lack of Doctors and Nurses who left for better paying jobs in US or Europe.\n\nIf you need immediate Specialist care you will probably have to pay hundreds of dollars just to see someone in the Private sector because the Public Health System has huge waiting lists and is understaffed.\n\nYou won’t be able to get a Government Family Doctor because the remaining ones have thousands of patients already so they’re swamped.\n\nYou can wait even 10 years for a Family Doctor and still won’t get one.\n\nYou can’t be bumped up on waiting lists for Doctors or Specialists even if you are in a critical condition because you aren’t a Celebrity / Politician / Millionaire.\n\nOnly those with a lot of money, status, power get immediate medical attention in case of an emergency.\n\nMost of the traditional medical costs like and eye exam, treating an ingrown toe nail, Physiatrie treatment are NOT covered by the Provinces anymore so you will have to pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars again.\n\nSome Provinces are already copying the US healthcare system which is 100% Private and for profit so don’t be surprised if you you’re gonna have to pay even for an infusion.\n\nThe minimum wage is only 15$/hour in most provinces when in reality you need at least 40$/hour to survive the ridiculous cost of living.\n\nYour typical salary will go 45% to taxes and 45% to rent leaving almost nothing for food / bills / gas / insurance etc. \n\nYou will struggle to make ends meet and possibly starve a week or two every month just to say that you’re “Canadian” \n\nThat is the sad reality but Canada is in a deep hole right now.\n\nUK is in a similar situation too.

People who come to Canada after receiving their PR struggle way too much. When you apply for a job here, they require you to have 1 year of Canadian working experience. How does someone fulfill that criteria if they've just landed in a new country? The government should instead open PR for only blue-collar jobs, which are actually in high demand. The whole immigration program otherwise feels like a scam. You shouldn't be getting any points for your educational and professional qualifications in the application when, in reality, it's not going to help you afterward. Most of the people I know here are planning a relocation because they don't see themselves owning a house anytime soon.

I feel badly for immigrants that have come here to make a better life, being very disappointed with the reality of life in Canada with its high inflation, high taxes, high crime rates, a compromised judicial system and poor healthcare.
