I actually wanted to go to Canada since I'm a qualified Diesel Technician but after this video I have second thoughts. Apparently what I hear is that UK and Australia you can actually get paid better than Canada and USA actually.

I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.

Bit biased, at the same time a lot of people leaving Canada a lot going to Australia. Just because one couple had a bad time in Australia doesn't mean it's a worse place than Canada.

Hey..This very helpful,my query is does the degree or NOC chosen matter? Like are there professions that are more sought? Like Australia i believe its easier to go as a skilled migrant for Doctors,Engineers,IT etc the rest of the professions is very challenging and nearly impossible to get invited to apply Does someone in the marketing field stand a chance? Also,are the points required for different felds the same,like the cut off is for example 500(for Doctors, IT, nurses, Drivers etc) or do they have different cut offs for different NOCs? Also,how did you settle there once you arrived? Did you have someone to host you? How long did it take you to get a job?

I do appreciate that but here in this podcast its about 3 main countries- Australia, UAE And Canada. \nRegarding Australia i can't comment much as i personally dont have any experience with that country but yes my cousins are there. Regarding UAE- Whatever ashr and sana said i dont agree at all because we have spend more than 15 years in UAE with very decent job. We were quiet free to do all the activities of bank, driving license and all. That country has its own charm. May be Ashr has worked in very small company where he has to go through those things but things are quiet different there. And yes it is very hot in dubai from may to August just came like punjab and delhi in India but aisa b nhi h ki bande ki jaan hi nikale. Podcast very interesting conveying true picture. I am 71 and had canada citizenship in 1988. I stayed there for 15 days after getting PR but returned . Although later i hv been to canada and UK several times as long term visitor. I hv so many other reservations about these two countries especially related to its future after 20 yrs because of their liberal policies on refugees and asylum seekers. Their economy is going down and down. In comparison Australia seems to be a younger country with good climate round the year with good prospects

Even in the regional area you will find more and more friendly people. Its all about accepting their culture and be respectful about that. But Australia is not like they have presented here. The problem is their selection of the study and its incompatibility with the Australian requirements. They have provided a lot of information. But many things are wrong... Even in 2017, things were not like this. They were in Accounts and people in accounting were having better scores than them and a lot of people go for this course. So all about competitiveness. In 2017, 60 points were required for 189 subclass. People got PRs on 50 points as well as on 489 visas but on other profiles. Moreover, IELTS academic was never mandatory for PR. The points system is in the picture for 15 years. Two draws in a month were there till June 2018. 491 was started in 2019 October. In 491 you can work on any profile in a regional area and NO INCOME CONSTRAINTS are THERE FOR 491(They are claiming 70000 AUD). Canada is also following Australia now, you can see the recent skill-specific draws of Canada.

if you do not have enough money to pay why do you risk yourself going to study abroad??. it is known that in UK Canada USA and Australia, tuition fees are high. it is not possible paying tuition fees by working there as a student. if you do not have enough financial stability it is better to study back home rather than end up as a drop of student.

One thing to take note of is that amongst the UK US Canada Australia. The UK is the most visa friendly among all of them. Why is it that most people especially nigerians and other african countries are going to the UK than USA and Canada.. getting a visa to USA and Canada is not easy due to their foreign policy, and visa policy as well. Unless you're from a country their government really like then they give it to you without stress. The UK is more lenient with visa acceptance and of which that can change at anytime if they decide to review their policy.

Don't blame the australian economy ou government for the fact that you find it hard to get a job. The aim of Australia or Canada is not to garantee a good paid job to all the students that come from Africa. Many african students stay in Canada after university despite the fact that they cannot find a job and they are very sad about it. If they are not happy in Canada (or in Australia) they might as well go back to their country and stay there.

At least our banks in Australia don’t go broke like in US . Since the Covid lock downs a lot of people are homeless all around the world . I live in Sydney and I could not care less if we are isolated . We still can visit New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South East Asia . I rather live in Australia than overseas because my relatives in the UK , and Cyprus didn’t care to spend time with me when I visited there . Their attitudes are not laid back . Anyway there are international students who find work here in Australia . We have heaps of lovely places in Australia to visit . There are amazing places in Western Australia and the rest of Australia to see . I agree Canada is amazing as I have been there but it doesn’t mean Australia is a dump like you are saying . I was a backpacker in Australia and I have family that migrated 25 years ago. I think you should have spent more time up north. Loads of lovely photos to take in Broome. Go deep in the outback and meet the indigenious communities. I was invited to closed land and got to experience and see the indigenious holy land. I know ''PERTH'' is regional but regional true regional is where the culture is. I was obviously there for a different experience but from a photography point of view there is a lot to be seen. Cape Tribulation Groote Eylandt. Housing wise it is mega expensive and flights would make my eyes water flying back to the UK. I totally get what you are saying regarding immigration. It seems to be all about what visa you are on which becomes grating. I was in oz from 2013-16 then moved on to Canada. Fresh produce is not that great in Canada and it was cold. Those are my only complaints.

I really enjoyed living here in Australia.im a registered nurse here in Australia and honestly im earning more money than my friends who are nurses as well in Canada. I managed to buy land and build brand new beautiful house in a sub urb in Victoria in just 500K AUD. many people are leaving Canada now. here are keys where Australia outperforms Canada; salary, benefits, weather, health care, military and we have superannuation here in Australia where the Goverment does save money for you. ticket prices from Aus to Philippines are significantly way more cheaper than Canada. I can go home to Philippines in just 300 AUD and it's a back and forth air trip. I got my PR here in Australia in just a year. I will never never ever leave Australia for Canada...

Lots of killed expats/migrants/international students to Canada, Australia and NZ leave in the long term because of housing, fake crime statistics, taxation, systemic/institutional discrimination and limited work opportunities. The US benefits from this because that’s where skilled Canadians, kiwis and Aussies go… nurses, technology specialists, structural engineers, biomedical technicians, researchers — all leave at some point barring a minority with family ties e.g., chronically sick parents. Interestingly enough, the US has country-specific skilled employment visas for Australia (E3) & Canada just for this purpose ? I’m an Indian-South African-Aussie citizen who earns excellent cash in Australia and just got PR (green card) in the US — happily moving to the States with my partner in a few weeks!

Full time and part time employees are entitled to 4 weeks vacation here in Australia, I don’t know anyone who only gets 4 tho, most get 5 to 6. Also, theres Medicare for all permanent residents and citizens; 18 weeks maternity leave— 3 months paid. There are 12 public holidays and just Far Less Crime. When people ask me if I miss “home”… I share that I miss good and easy access to stuff… but friends can visit me here, and I’ll pay extra for the things I enjoy to be mailed. The only major thing is as a black girl getting my hair done… lordddd ?. \n\nI’ve lived in Cambodia, Thailand, Spain and Gibraltar traveling solo. The more I traveled safer I felt despite never feeling too unsafe in the states when I lived there, I did when I traveled across country at times. Lets also not forget the majority of the GDP from Australia is mainly contributed by only a few major cities (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane), whereas in the USA the massive GDP are contributed by much more equal geographically distributed cities from the west coast to the east coast. If you are a young person, migrate to the canada/usa route is a much better choice than choosing isolated Australia in terms of experience and exposure to new ideas. Australian is friendly but not easy to become friends with. You only see them at work and talk a few things and then after work, probably not going to have much further connection.

I randomly looked at videos from downtown Manchester and Concord in New Hampshire - Philadelphia - Detroit - Chicago - New York - Baltimore - Denver - Atlanta - Nashville, and Knoxville in the United States, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and London in the UK, Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Toulouse in France, Frankfurt, and Hamburg in Germany, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in Australia, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka in Japan, Busan, Seoul, and Incheon in South Korea, Toronto - Quebec - Montreal - Winnipeg - Calgary - Vancouver - Victoria - Ottawa and Thunder Bay in Canada. we should be fair. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. I have leaving in Canada for 67 years i am going to Australia because the politces is just a war. , Since PM Harper to it down i feel it can't be repaired till it crashes. Health care only in Alberta is good.

We are well aware who's in the Canadian government and why they're doing such a tremendous job of destroying this country. We saw what they did to our truckers and what they're doing to the farmers in the Netherlands. What they're doing to the US, what they're doing to New Zealand, Australia, Europe the list goes on and on.
