I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. Thank you

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

❤ new subscriber here, YT recommended your videos. Thanks for sharing your stories because help me to understand what most people Feel after they love or move in another place that they don't know. Me I want to go or move to another place someday soon. But I don't know if it Will come true in the future or not. I dreamed to reach my goals 10 years ago but until now it's almost 12 years now. I'm still stagnant to reach those dreams. I'm losing Hope sometimes.

Unfortunately, the best is yet to come. It will get much worse. But I'm just asking out of curiosity, who will vote for the obviously idiotic, completely incompetent leaders there. I think it's the UFOs. You can only thank yourself for what awaits you. There are already quite a few (REFUGEE) families from Canada living here in Hungary. They say that here they understood what it means to live freely. Of course, the media will make you believe what they want. Come to Hungary and experience freedom. Just stay far away from the liberals.

Canada used to be a dream. Not anymore. In the world of Empire dependency what goes up must come down. And Canada is going down faaaast, thanks to oily handed men of the land who have pledged allegiance to a foreign power :)

Only canadian citizens have the right to protest our laws... international students and workers are subject to our laws while here and they do not have the right to protest such laws, non citizens clogging our streets are breaking our laws and are subject to immediate deportation... thank you dont come again.

I'm a graduate of a top German university, and I've successfully navigated all the challenges, from learning German to securing a job, getting a driver's license, finding a good home, obtaining a permanent residence permit (including nightmares of dealing with the notorious Ausländerbehörde), and more and I am truly thankful to this country. Despite all this, I don't feel welcome. While I've met many kind people along the way, there’s no guarantee that you won’t encounter nasty ones like racist landlords or neighbors or a random service provider and the likelihood of that happening aren’t low. I'm now considering a second migration to the USA because I've come to realize that in Germany, you may never truly feel like you belong, and constantly feeling like an outsider sucks.

I don't believe what I am viewing, you're from Canada, a first world country, you've education, a working Gvt, a stable currency, stable policing, your tertiary institutions are world renowned, now i am coming across this video. I don't understand and i understand but I don't understand. \nThis is unbelievable but thanks for the information

The future is uncertain, no matter where you live. People often expect their country to provide stability and resist change, but these are difficult promises to keep. Just look at Ukraine.\n\nCanada, too, may be failing its citizens in some ways. It doesn't seem to inspire a deep sense of patriotism or love for the country. Many are distracted by the allure of greener pastures, lured by promises and travel ads. There's little gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives a century ago or those who built the safe, secure nation we have today. Instead, they are often labeled as colonizers, with their statues torn down.\n\nPerhaps the concept of a nation is fading. But if you drift away, you may find yourself replaced, and no one’s going to say, “How dare you!”\n\nPopulations are becoming fluid, and countries are no longer rigid containers. Moving to a new place might not be as meaningful if the concept of nations dissolves.\n\nA nation is more than just borders; it’s an accounting system. Consider this: How long do you need to work in a country to earn a pension? In the USA, it’s 40 years. If you haven’t put in the time, you might be leaving money on the table. As a retiree, I say thanks!\n\nBut will you ever collect that pension? I am. I spent two years in the USA and returned. My parents had health problems—remember them? They didn’t work 40 years in the USA either. And those Canadian dollars don’t stretch far in the States. Tricky, eh!\n\nSometimes, countries struggle to manage pensions. The country might be too big, its borders too porous, its economy too fragile, and its people too ready to abandon it. Yet, Canada’s natural resources, like Ontario’s 20% of the world’s fresh water, guarantee its revenue. That will be gold soon enough, and you can bet the USA, the global superpower, will want a piece of it.\n\nThe immigrants coming to Canada are smart.

I fully agree with you. The International Students, most of them have no manners and are rude. I use public transport. Some don't pay fares, talk loudly in their language either on the phones or in a group. They push to get in or out of the buses. They have taken away jobs from our youth, who are citizens of Canada. They signed on the documents that they would go back to their country after studies, but NO, they want PR. That was their intention in the first place. They are inconsiderate of others. They have no respect for others. It's just them. How can we say they are the future generation of this country, who also cheat the system. There are also some Indians, Muslims who have recently, I would say 10-12 years moved to Canada, do the same as above, including loud music in their cars, noisy cars, litter and spit, also spit red liquid on the grounds, etc., it is annoying. They come here thinking they can do whatever they want to do it's their freedom in a free country. We also see that there are scammers from Call Centres in India who have scammed so many innocent Canadians, including some Seniors. Then don't blame Canadians who have been here for long, who speak up about this issue. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your story. There are so many Canadians who share your views and who are equally upset about the state of affairs in Canada, including me and my husband. We have recently started contemplating moving to Serbia (my home country). Compared to Canada, Serbia has very affordable housing, and a much better healthcare system. Moreover, the majority of the population also speaks English and for someone coming from an an English speaking country like Canada, this is a huge bonus. Good luck on your journey and you have made the right decision to move.

Thanks for sharing your decisions on your move I do wish you all the best moving forward, I've been following the channel for some time now. \n\nWhen you mention about Hasting Street at 3:20, I was just thinking... where did I hear that street? Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! Great video Alina and thank you for sharing your well balanced perspective. Born and raised in Canada to immigrant parents who came in 1970. I left in 1992 and came back in 2015 and left again for good in 2020 mainly due to the draconian covid restrictions. It was the best decision I ever made in my life and I have never looked back. From my point of view, Canada is beyond unrecognizable today and the leaders in Ottawa have sold the country and the people down the river along time ago and sadly the real serious Canada is nothing but a memory. I feel sorry for the immigrants who come to Canada and have a romanticized vision of the nation. They have no idea what they have gotten themselves into. I wish you all the best and I have no doubt that you will successfully shape your own path. God bless! ❤️?

I can identify with a lot of your comments. I live in the United States, where I have lived all my life. It's a great country and I'm thankful for the life that I have had here, but things are changing and it no longer feels like the same country that I grew up in. To add some perspective, I grew up in the 70's and 80's. My wife is from Colombia, and I have been there 11 times so far ( trip number 12 coming in a few months), and I love Colombia. I am planning to move there when I retire. I know it's not a perfect place, as there is no such thing as a perfect place, and there will be some things that I will miss about my life in the states, but it feels like the right choice for my retirement. I can hear in your voice how you feel conflicted, and I have those same feelings. Ultimately, we all have to make the choices that are best for us as individuals.

Great Video. Thank you for posting. Please do what your heart tells you to do. People change, government change, situations change, and country change. So, we have to change as well. That means, sometimes, moving to new country as well. \nGood decision !!! You can always come back when you feel things are better.

20 years ago Canada was a beautiful country. It is a cesspool now. It’s a shame. I come from a military family and I am truly thankful my father and grandfather aren’t alive to see what the country they fought for has become.

It's really sad to see this ..these kids don't come from great financial backgrounds ..and looting them for 20 to 25 lakhs is like a crime. It's like more educated way to loot someone. I went on an Office visit to Toronto back in 2013 when basement costed around 700 to 800 CAD, the student's situation wasn't that grave. One could see students, but not many. Mostly were working people back then. This govt Official you interviewed needs to take his job more seriously. 20-30 lakhs could be more than life savings for some families here in India. It's so very tragic. Thanks for doing this, The Fifth Estate channel. I just hope new aspirants see this. Although I've a suggestion, if you could do this Translated in Punjabi. So that it's reached the actual beneficiaries of this whole exercise. Please let me know, if you need any help with this. I can help in Spanish translation as well, if you need to send this to LATAM. I see many Mexicans, Guatemalans, Colombians, Venezuelans find Canada as their prime destination. I knw many of them. Subscribed your Channel for the good work ? -- Thanks!

This rug pull comes to you courtesy of your PROVINCIAL government and their provincial minds. All the LANDLORDS can thank FORD for the stitch up they find themselves in. \nYou really gotta hate yourself to be a landlord in Ontario. \nRemember to return the favour at election time

Thank you. 13,000 in your country means 13,000 less in mine. A lot more to come thanks to politicians.

No Indian comes into Canada without a visa from Canadian givernment. Canadian universities and students benefit massively from increased revenue and lower fees thanks to Indians. The sad part is they turn around and be racist and learn to be more racist from an Australian.

As a child of first generation immigrants and now lived here for 80% of my life and calling Canada my home, I empathize with how difficult coming to a new country is and the generosity of Canadians. I'm proof that the Canadian dream is possible; thanks to my teachers, social workers, friends, and community at large, I now make more money than both my parents combined, have a house and 2 dogs. While there's hard work at play, it's also the warmth of everyone that's made this a reality. I hope we can have a realistic and win-win plan of integrating immigrants, provide immigrants and residents the opportunity to work hard towards their dreams so we can ALL live a better life.

The obvious irony of this video is that it’s an infomercial to encourage people without documentation to come into the United States through the northern boarder. Thanks Cash Jordan, you can donate some of the money you are making on this video to securing the northern boarder. Or better yet, open up a shelter in NYC.

This isn’t totally accurate, and comparing Canada to the US is like comparing apples to oranges, a more apt comparison would be Canada and Australia (similar government structure, similar population, similar economy) unlike the us that has 8x our population and is the richest country in the world lol. \n\nThat being said the problems with the Canadian economy are pretty straightforward imo, for housing it’s simple, the Canadian government has invested heavily into the real estate market with things like the Canada pension plan being largely invested into the CPP. There is also a huge amount of people who have banked their retirement on the value of their home, for the most part these are blue collar workers. These two things combined have created a huge problem for the government, it basically has to choose between fixing the worsening housing crisis and in the process wipe out the savings and retirement accounts of millions of Canadians or let the problem get worse and worse until something boils over. This problem is also being compounded by the increasing number of international students being misled into coming here, they are being promised world class education but are receiving bogus diplomas from what are essentially sham colleges (thanks Ford). \n\nWhen looking at the competition in the country it’s a more complicated problem than people like to admit, in order to not become a client state of the US we have to place stronger protections on our industries and media, this insures that Canadian money stays within the Canadian market but has the drawback of discouraging competition. Now if you ask me the solution to this is to nationalize large industries that are being controlled by large oligopolies who unnecessarily manipulate the price of goods like Bell, Rogers, Loblaws, air Canada, petrol Canada, etc. By taking control of these industries the government could have better control of the price of goods and should result in better prices for consumers in turn we’re leaving some of the pressure placed on us by the cost of living crisis. This worked wonders for alcohol which in Ontario brings in 1.5 billion in revenue for the government each year, imagine how much internet, electricity, phone service and produce could bring in.

You can thank the dictator of Canada for this. Trudeau even lets terrorists in and has even said everyone is welcome to come to Canada. He's as bad as your so-called leader letting illegas in. We need them both out of office ASAP, they're ruining our countries.
2024-08-05 0
Thank you, I have filled the form and submit, I pray God will come through for me on this.??

Canada accepting many bogus international students who come to Canada to get the residency card. if that's possible, they claimed refugee status. This is thanks to our genious PM, Justin Trudeau!
2024-08-04 0
Hopefully Pierre Poilievre will be the next prime minister, he's not too keen on this stuff. The time has come for the world to have tough, no-nonsense leaders. Things have gotten way out of hand everywhere. It's terrible that there are oppressed peoples, but sometimes people (thousands of miles away) have to try and take matters into their own hands in their homelands, or head somewhere closer to their borders. Not to mention that so many desperate young men coming here turn to crime immediately, join or form gangs, etc., thanks to our stupid leaders opening up the floodgates.

Welcome migrants thank you for coming we are not all mean jerks that don’t want you. We know statistically all types of immigration only helps the economy. We all are not knee jerk reactionaries that don’t check facts. Welcome.
2024-08-04 0
Thank God! 4th generation ??, here. A butt-load has crossed into our country from yours over the years. (Quebec) so I’m personally happy some are heading your way instead. \nUntil they pass a law; US & Can., or change existing ones, illegals will keep coming. We have SO many now that are untraceable in our country.
2024-08-04 0
Mark my words, this video and the many others like it documenting our now long ongoing border crisis will be the first images that will run through our minds the minute that the terrorists among these illegals strategically take down the whole country section by section all in a planned blink. Our grid and networks will go down all at once and we will not know that a wide scale attack across the entire country has just been activated. At first we will all be thinking a tragic accidental explosion has happened, followed by the inability to use our phones whatsoever, and then over hours of time we will finally get word from those on the roads have just escaped huge groups of foreign terrorists. And then, it's on, survival of the fittest.\n\nDems.Thanks for voting that very possible clear and present danger into office to usher in countless undocumented people. Every sane person is crying out for deportation, but I'm sorry to say this but have you kept up with the estimated number of illegals coming over our borders???? We passed the official point of no return a long time ago thanks to Biden, the man who will go down in history as the man to bring down America.

The border between Canada and the US has been open for years. Roxham Road has been an eye sore for Canada thanks to Justin Trudeau. Instead of blocking the road, we set up tents and welcoming mats for them to come in.

you guys can take em, Canada is full, and we're having a lot of issues with them too, thank Trudeau for dividing Canada and telling people to come here, he is a joke, Vancouver is larger than Ottawa btw

Oh thank God. For a long while illegal migrants have been coming over the southern border into my country for years now. About time a portion of them return back down to New York!
