This is the look of freedom. This is the human spirit showing us that the will to live, to be free takes precedent over nationality, culture, etc. The United States NEVER stopped being an oasis in the world’s mind. It is an icon of breaking from from tyranny, oppression even if the USA doesn’t deserve that designation. Or, maybe the U.S. doesn’t belong to u.s. children if immigrants as we believe. Maybe, the U.S. really belongs to every tired and huddled mass yearning to be free. Who are we, Americans, to decide our legacy was over? Maybe, we ran into trouble when we forgot what we are, and why our own ancestors came here. The people of the world have spoken. We have no right to withhold safe refuge from those fleeing death and oppression. Instead of hanging with dictators, maybe our highest national “leader” should return to his original mantra of demanding other nations provide safety for their own, so that their own stop feeling the need to flee. This is the vast majority of migrants’ character. We can separate law breakers from the masses, without accusing the masses of criminality.

How dare you Mexico pay the taxes trump is asking is nothing compared to medical services your people get for free the break the law and and they all sick they need badly medical treatment and this goes on and on the taxes are president asking for Mexican to pay is nothing pay us for all the services your people get for free

Dont blame Trump for all this. Blame President Lincoln, Wilson, Taft for creating taxes. Roosevelt for enacting a bill into law for charging taxes to the American people for social security, Reagan for shutting down factories in US & leaving US to foreign Countries for cheaper cost. Bush, Obama, Biden for bad foreign trading policies & bad spending usage, budgeting of our tax payers money that put US in dept by the trillions. These past Presidents were running our Country into the ground at our expense. President Trump is getting back our Country out of Debt. Alot of reforms needs to happen. Decrease taxes on everything, make startup business easy to survive & sustain. Enact bills into laws to control all Corporations from overpricing their goods to consumers. Lower all consumer goods. Give tax breaks to all business. Taxes should come from other Countries & zero from the American peoples pockets, end to taxing the American people. ✊️

This hurts Americans. Lumber to build houses destroyed in the hurricane will be too expensive. He needs to scale this back. Canada should cut power before the Superbowl so people realize how much the US gets from Canada!

People, don't forget that Trump is temporary and he is not the US! Unfortunately, we all have to pay by the US citizens bad choice, even the dudes that have choosen him! Don't be silly, don't make your own people pay taxes on goods from the US. Make it harder on the people in the US by charging additional tariffs on exports to the US. Starve the Americans because they need your products and services. They cannot afford to go it alone.

Just don’t buy American, forget tariffs they are not needed. The US is doing a money grab to all that sell things to the US to finance no federal income tax to the American people.

I’m a proud citizen of the USA and a Republican no less. To the people of Mexico and Canada, please kick us to the curb. Our leadership has lost its way and is in desperate need for realignment. For the sake of all in North America, take care of this now, because apparently my fellow citizens cannot.

All this because the US cannot get it's fellow citizens and most vulnerable people the help they need with their addictions. Honestly everyone is to blame. Canada and Mexico have both been riding the American gravy train for decades and never got slapped by any of the former presidents. And now that a president who puts the US first comes along everyone acts like America and our president is in the wrong. Just because something wrong was allowed to happen for so long that doesn't mean it was right. So two things these tariffs will do to Canada. One your economy isn't exactly stellar right now. Two Trump just has to pump up the pressure further and Canada will fold. It's that simple. As for Mexico they are squarely attached to America's teet. They need us WAY more than we need them. They will fold. And during negotiations we will make them ok US military operations on the Cartels. All people see is the word tariffs and don't think about the strategy behind them. Tariffs are a tool to apply pressure and gain leverage. Canada and Mexico would do the same if they could. So lets stop with the pearl clutching.

Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

Funny thing is we consume more from them. Than do from us. The usa will destroy the working people of those countries. We also use yo produce our own products. We dint need ford or chevy in Canada. And Mexico doesn't need to make our parts. We're the consumer. They are the producers. Well we can produce like we used to in the 50s/80s before our jobs got shipped off

Why do those of us on the political left keep allowing those on the political right to dictate the terms of public conversations, even when we have the facts on our side? It is estimated that 1.7% of the world population is biologically intersex. That's roughly the same as the percentage of the world population that is naturally redheaded. Trump's executive order states that the US government only recognizes two biological sexes.  This means that as far as the US government is concerned, biologically intersex people don't exist. This is analogous to having an executive order saying redheads do not exist.  It's nonsense.  So, why aren't biologists from all over the country pointing this out? The percentage of the world population that identifies as transgender is at most 0.6%.  So why are we talking about transgender people when there is a larger group of people that Trump's executive order discriminates against?  Here's why: because folks on the left insist on allowing those on the right to set the terms of almost every debate we have in this country and folks on the right are happy to ignore intersex people (whose existence conclusively establish that their views are false) and those of us on the left stupidly follow their example in doing so. If we are serious about protecting trans people, we need to be smart about this. Let us reframe the public debate to focus on intersex people.  This will make exposing the lunacy of Trump's executive order much easier when engaging a general public that is too ignorant, lazy, and indifferent to educate themselves about trans people. So, let's help out the lazy ignorant masses by adopting a simpler (and more science-based) approach to the debate over whether there are two biological sexes by making the simple, scientifically sound observation that biological sex is bimodal, not a binary.  And not amount of executive orders can ever change that fact.

Most Venezuela’s aren’t coming to work are coming because of the benefits, I’ve seen most people that are coming from communists countries aren’t coming to work and can’t handle working longer hours for them 8-10 hours say is not human, I know because I used to work in area where these people were calling after 3 days of arriving asking where is my money? why is not my card? I was oh mine! I’m the one working and I’ve never apply for any government assistance as I remember my parents only applied once for 6 months because my dad was sick and my mom pregnant but once my dad got better went back to work 2 jobs and my mom started working. Until these day we haven’t needed any gov. assistance because we all work and even now I decided to take my children and my husband only he works we don’t receive any government assistance not even healthcare assistance because we work so we don’t depend from no one but these people are government dependable not working people. The US government needs to check every single individual who is efficient or not.

They act as though they’re entitled to what Americans have worked hard and some died for. They have broken governments where they come from and they need to work to fix their countries instead of invading ours so they can get a free ride! Sorry, guys, but I do agree with Donald Trump. We need to do something about everyone coming into our country. Illegals into our country and I did say. Illegals, we should be supportive and even whenever they come into our country. They should have a job they should pay for their own food. Nobody gave me a handout. Some provinces that shall remain nameless like to break contracts with health care professionals, resulting in shortages of certain types of workers. \n\nI live in remote northish parts of my province (not NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut), and 6 years ago I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

Go to their country and try to force your way in, without being properly vetted and see how far you get!! If they’re so vital and followed by dollar signs, why doesn’t Columbia want their own people?? Aren’t they needed to build the economy there? Wake up people. This is a serious issue. We can’t save the whole world, we simply don’t have the means. If we stay this route what will happen is we will end up in the same spot that Mexico is. You have to teach them to build properly not bring it all here. That isn’t a fix all.
