Trump did a good thing. All you woke, soft hearted liberals don't get the fact that the USA has been allowing these other countries to eat off of us for free. Well, that' stops today. The President/PM of Ukraine will also learn a valuable lesson today as well. Never bite the hand that feeds you. All of our tax dollars have been donated around the world to other people's causes while we are made to suffer. We have a financial crisis right here in America that needs to be addressed. This is the start, and in the long term, we will prevail. Canada is like a little sister to the US. Trudeau is talking about fighting and they can't survive a war without our help. Neither can many of the other NATO countries. So, middle finger to him and any other country that opposes us. It's time stop being taken advantage of and for the USA to start acting like we are the most powerful nation in the world. Many of you don't like Trump's decisions simply because you don't like the person. Get out of your feelings and look at then big picture.

As an American, the saddest thing is I now have to root against America. A slim majority of those who voted put this wannabe dictator and putin puppet in office and I want to see other countries point that out and slap back. The world needs to recognize the psychosis of donald trump. There isn't any equal relationship or deal with him. He must feel like he's humped you into submission. If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long

These are issues not unique to Canada. Most people here in Canada don't realize this. Housing is a huge issue, and needs to be fixed. But business investment into Canada is increasing. As someone living in Canada... I actually don't feel much of the things mentioned in the video. Sure, wages are not growing as fast as it can, but as someone who managed to purchase a home *before* the bubble started to expand, I'm living steady right now.\n\nWhat is REALLY causing a large part of the social and economic issues is actually the fact that provinces are NOT expanding new towns and cities in the millions of kilometers that needs to grow. Everyone is moving into cities, including refugees and new immigrants, which is driving up local prices and demand for everything. A few years ago, there were literally news of townships outside of the major cities offering houses and land for $50 per acre if people move to those towns and live there. \n\nCanada's biggest (heh) advantage is how much land it has. It's biggest weakness is how little comparative population it has. The worst problem is the concentration of population in like 6 keys cities throughout the entire country. If more people who complain about housing or social issues were willing to move outside of the major cities, they wouldn't have those problems.

The crazy thing is how many left-leaning Americans point to Canadian policies as a model the US should follow even with all these data points showing the opposite. We need more evidence-based governing (and more viewers to this channel!).

Canada border patrol overseers need to do a better job in securing that part of the border on that side. They can stop those buses and check those planes for them coming into the US. I used to think Pres. Trump was being too hard on Canada then I got a look at the tariffs they impose on our goods. Some as high as 250%. I think Trump just wants a level playing field and a lot of help from Canada on the border. I think Poilievre feels the need to talk tough in response but I think he really wants the same things as Trump. I hope Poilievre becomes PM because he's conservative and I think he'll work well with Trump as they're both conservative nationalists.

Canadian medical you only need to pay for aside from designer meds is unneccesary operations .. but theres a loophole .. all you need do is go to your family doctor or a drop in clinic and get the doctor to write a note stating its needed for your health and boom its covered by medical ... so the having to pay for a foot operation is bs or it was a pure vanity thing

When I go to the hospital in Canada I don't have to wait if people think that then they're wrong and then I get treated and don't pay a thing so I hope Americans understand that they pay thousands of dollars for healthcare that most Canadians can walk in and get for free,, yes it comes off our taxes but everybody in the country taste those taxes even if they don't use Healthcare so it helps people that are really in need

Comparing the US to Canada, I notice we have more freedoms here in Canada in spite of the high cost of living, and because of the freedoms we have more solidarity to call Canada our home. We don’t pack a piece when we leave home to run errands, we don’t whirl the maple leaf, we don’t adorn our buildings with the maple leaf, and we don’t wear maple leaf clothing. We don’t do any of these things because we don’t need to, because we are not paranoid, and that is why we don’t have the level of violence that is in the US. This land is our home, and it has always been peaceful for the most part, until now that Trump is touting threats of taking Canada as the 51st state. He wants Canada because we have the natural resources that the US needs. He will build a direct line to Alaska. He will drill all over Canada wherever he wants. He will kick Canadians off their land to drill. Trump will do whatever he wants because he’s a business man. He does not take others into consideration, just his own plans to meet his own selfish gains. What Trump is doing are illegal manoeuvres and he must be stopped. There has got to be a limit within legal guidelines to stop this insanity.

These people are desperate, can you imagine things being so bad in your own country that you travel thousands of miles to try to get into another one that promises a better life? Perhaps the United States should tackle the immigration problem by trying to make things better in other countries so those folks don't feel in need to cross over into America.
