the main concept of any foreign govt giving permanent residency is whether you fulfil the need for them, so this is good for people who have some skills and can positively contribute but anyone who just wants to go for the sake of going there is not going to get anything , they better study and then return .. this is nothing different from UK, its very hard to get Tier 2 visa in UK unless your job is in shortage or in the occupation list but the difference is that Canada has been very lenient in the past allowing people clearing just 10 years of schooling also getting student visas, this has not happened in UK as people come to study bachelor's or master when they have completed full 12+ years of schooling in their home country.. may be it was needed then in Canada but now its not the same case..so if govt is taking this step its first in the interest of the local people including the ones who have gained citizenship with proper procedure..

Immigration is terribly difficult and expensive into the United States. No normal person would be able to immigrate to the US without marrying in. This is the problem and this is one of the reasons why there are so many illegals. If the process was actually more feasible in requirements, standards, and was more easy to follow (instructions are immensely confusing), we'd be better off.

quebec health care system paid for a least invasive radiotherapy in philadelphia for 3 months because it gave my 5 years old nephew a better chance at a normal life had he survived. The parents even receive money to pay for an appartement during treatments because hotels are just too dangerous for these kids. Obviously one of the parent have to leave work to be with the kid so I really don't understand how americans make it! If you leave your job to be with your kid during his treatment don't you loose your insurance for not being employed? Are american parents sending their 5 years old alone for his chemo? it makes no sense!!!

That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Maybe there are too many Indians everywhere and it's natural that people living there are getting sick of them. Maybe her frustration is justified. It happens everywhere regardless of race. No one wants to see a huge group of people that don't look like them or not from their tribe living on their land. Indian in Canada is the result of the policy of Canadian government. They are legally entering the countries attracted by better living standard offered to them by Canadian government and that everyone in the planet has similar desire to improve one's living. I do not think blaming all the problem to the Indians is justified. In fact, we should mainly blame the Canadian politician and the ones who voted them into office.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity.
