I'm not Canadian but I love Canada. Awesome people, awesome country. I'm 100% on your side. Trudeau rocks - he's smart, intelligent and honest. Please keep him as PM. Come to Europe, come to Australia & NZ. We love you guys, The tariffs are outrageous and disgusting and total kudos for standing up to the bully.

Let’s be honest.. BLACKROCK owns two floors of realestate in central Sydney…so there is some connections.. Not that either are beautiful.. Australia does not need Globalism.. Australia needs to enjoy their Country. Is that a bad thing ???? if other Countries cannot get thier countries together.. You need to work harder.. and not have so many of your people leave

Trump also caused China to cut the flow of Rare Earth Minerals to the US which lead to the attempt to extort Ukraine of its natural resources. Similar situation , failure to recognize that China is supplying the raw materials driving the surge in technical advancement. To then try to deny the product of that raw material supply, aka cutting edge Chips.. back to China, is moronic. In Trumps world a Win/Win is a sign of weakness...except now China cut off the US from supply and there is no replacement.... Annnnnnnnd so the logical move is to pick other things being supplied and do the same to Canada..... when Canada pulls the plug on supply, the result will be the same. EVERYONE worldwide should take note and begin cutting supplies to the US and ceasing dependance on US manufacturers in favor of those with governments who will accept Mutually beneficial relationships as what they are...a Win/Win. China and Canada should deepen ties. Ukraine is better off working with Russia than allowing itself to be extorted. Everyone else should distance themselves from the US and honestly this damage Trump is doing will take decades to undo. The US is not reliable so long as they fail recognize international law and fair trade when it doesnt suit them... this is good for noone, but it will be worst on the US. Thats how WW2 started... Tariffs collapsed the German economy. Caused the Great depression. Germany and its people were forced into a corner. This is what Trump and his masters are trying to do. Starting WW3 is on someones agenda and whomever that is is also pulling Trumps strings. Bad times ahead

Brown people living in Western countries, never let your guard down. Never let yourself be lulled by the comfortable thought that just because you learnt english, got a PhD , worked an honest job , kept a friendly demeanour, people would automatically be nice to you. The world is full of unhappy people who would pounce at the opportunity to pull you down and the easiest way to do this is to attack your skin colour, your accent and your job. \n\nJust keep in mind that if you've been honest to yourself,you don't owe anything to anyone: not respect, not deference, not allegiance. Learn to give it right back. Learn to fight the prejudice in it's own terms. Be prepared for the consequences. And most importantly, never look at your motherland as a last resort. Leave your country for life in a foreign land with a goal to return.

As a Brit... I've been to Canada many times (the first time as a soldier in 1981) and of late in the likes of BC, I've fished there. Love, love, love Canada and the Canadians. I've been to America too, and I love it there also. And while I'm not always a good judge of people...I flatter myself I'm a VERY good judge of character. And oh man, have they ever got it wrong with this Trump fella. Now there's a bloke I would not like to find myself in a combat situation since he'd likely shoot me in the back and run the other way. I just find myself asking how on earth it has come to this. How can they possibly think that a person such as this is a fit bloke to lead their country. Hitler? Don't talk to me about Hitler America. Honestly, it would make you want to weep...

I'm English, I don't know that Canada has any enemies around the world to be honest. The US is trying to control any neighbouring land and building a wall around itself in exactly the way Russia did. Look how quickly Trump has made all these changed. He aligns himself with Dictators and attacks his friends. Trump is literally alienating the worlds allies. Trump wants to bankrupt Canada because it has ample resources and Trump wants Canada to be the 51st state. It is quite impossible to bankrupt Canada because it can always expand its international trade to other countries, like Europe, etc. Do not tolerate the bully. Tariffs are passed down to the consumer. So why would he put tariffs on American goods when he knows Canadians will foot the bill? This is an honest question.

You have to know that the majority of us DO NOT support Trump. Many don’t even believe he honestly won the election. We are disgusted and angry. I call my representatives daily. I’m not sure it makes any difference. I have ceased buying from every company who has given him money. I protest. The republican senators and congressmen are corrupt and traitors. Thanks for making it clear what you did right but not making it clear on what the US administration wanted from you that you said no to that caused the tariff implementation. It's possible you miss 50% of your illegal border crossings into the u.s. since so much of your border isn't secured. The 1900% increase in illegal crossing in the past few years doesn't look very good. It's dumb to assume you did everything right and then the u.s. just randomly decided they'd continue with the tariffs for fun. Be more honest and say where you put your foot down so the American public can better understand what is going on.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

I'm an American with some family ties to Canada and I'm deeply ashamed of how my government under Trump is systematically destroying it's historic relationships with almost all our allies. Trump and his cronies are only interested in the use of raw power to dominate the current geo-political reality. Thank you Trudeau for speaking so bluntly and honestly and for standing up to our bully-in-chief.

I honestly believe Trump wants these tariffs because the 25% tariff will go directly into government coffers and he needs money to cover the huge tax cuts he gave his cronies and the wealthy. Unfortunately, Americans will be paying this 25% tax. No winners on either side.

Ya know, it’s honestly comical that some many people have these knee jerk responses to anything they deem “negative” STRICTLY for the fact that it came from Trump, and rather know TRULY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING behind the reason why these “negative” things are said or done in the first place… I ASSURE YOU 99% of the people complaining about this Canada tariff don’t know that it’s simply to (essentially) force Canada to agree to ramp up their border DEA enforcement/presence to help cut down on the illegal drug trade (primarily fentanyl) coming into America! If more of these people complaining knew this reasoning behind it, I think that would quite honestly shut a lot of them up! And to be completely honest with you, that failure falls on NO ONE MORE THAN THE JADED MEDIA!! I truly believe THAT is hands down the biggest failure in our nation currently!!
