I do think India is gaining every way. And developing fast. India’s education system is. Nothing to sneezed at. Generally all Indian and Asian families who have come to Canada are always the top students in schools . But whenever there are economic problems, they blame it on immigrants instead of acknowledging their shortcomings. I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

It' the MAGA mentality. In Canada over the last 2 1/2 years Pierre Poilievre has been blaming Trudeau for everything. Just like Trump blamed Biden/Harris for everything. But especially for immigration. Poilievre and Trump have blamed immigration for job loss, housing shortage, healthcare inefficiency, crime, urban decay. Poilievre and Trump don't try to differentiate between refugees/asylum seekers and legitimate immigrants. Canada's birth rate has been falling every year since the 1960s. Canada needs immigrants. Both the Conservative and Liberal governments supported immigration in the past. Poilievre is using immigrants to rile up the racists and the ignorant, for his own political gain.

In the 1960's Ontario was conservative and Quebec was liberal. When Justin Trudeau's uncle Pierre became PM he changed the rules of immigration in order to populate Ontario and Toronto with non-British, non European immigrants who would have no ties with their new country and instead worship and support the party that favoured them to harvest votes forever. Now they own our cities and for the millions of self hating white liberals, we have achieved the ultimate in self flagellation, to become strangers in our own land.

Lax, i cycle commute to work for 31 years now in a Canadian city and in the last couple years its become increasingly dangerous. They migrants swear at me in foreign language and tell me they will destroy me and try to hit me with their cars. I've never seen this before in my 31 years riding. Local here, born and raised in BC. As much as I love our country and history, I don't see myself being able to live here in the future. Real estate is the driving factor for the economy and with those housing/COL prices going up, I won't even be able to afford a split mortgage even if I had a steady 6 figure job. I don't want to leave Canada but I'm being indirectly forced to by the current Liberal government. Sure, our dollar was tanking before Trudeau enter power, but while he has been in power, it has barely changed and now is very close to reaching the same values we had in the Covid pandemic. Experts are estimating it to even go below that. It is not a good time to be a Canadian.

Seriously, this is an absolutely disgraceful and pathetic attack by the liberals. Here is the cold hard fact. The government controls immigration. The government controls who and how many. The liberals have been granting student visas for years, literally unchecked in both numbers and who they were given to. The schools merely took in however many the liberals let in. Hundreds of thousands of them. Had trudeau set a reasonable cap to begin with, then the schools would only be accepting that capped number. The more trudeau let in, the more the schools took on. This wasnt the fault of the schools. This is an absolute direct result of the liberal government completely screwing up the immigration system. \n\nNot only did trudeau let in far too many students which blew up school enrolment, but it messed up the entire employment system, healthcare system and housing market. Not to mention that it drained the foodbanks and students were using them as their grocery store. Now we have hundreds of thousands of international students demanding trudeau support them, give them housing, jobs and citizenship. To say trudeau completely wrecked immigration doesnt even come close to what has resulted. The entire country is now reeling from this, and it will take decades to resolve the consequences. \n\nTrudeau is despicable. Interestingly enough, the clip where the girl is complaining about having the rent increased by $7000 is not Trudeau's fault (Liberal government) but Doug Ford's, who's Conservative and the premier (like a governor in the US) of Ontario. He removed the limits on rent increases on properties occupied for the first time after Nov 15 2018. So now, if you want make a few more bucks or just kick someone out just jack the rent so they can't afford it and have to leave (usually you can't just end a lease agreement because you want to but not anymore as you can just increase it to whatever you want). Limits exist for a reason unless you're at the top and want to make more without any regard to people that are struggling.\n\nWhat I'm trying to say is that I don't think the Conservatives will do better than the Liberals, they're just different flavours of garbage. We do need real change, unfortunately I don't think it will happen.

However, the Liberal politics of the last 9 years have been a disaster, from high inflation, uncontrolled immigration, lack of pro business investments, homelessness, housing… this is to list just a few issues. The same thing has been happening in the US and Western Europe. Thank you God for helping elect Donald Trump. Many on this forum may not like the guy, but he was before, and will be good for the country, economy, overall people of the US and indirectly Canada. The Trudeau gang must go, a monkey could do a better job governing this beautiful Canada than that moron Trudeau. Do you all remember him saying…. “ the budget will balance itself”…. This is what voting liberal gets you. High crime, high prices, homeless everywhere, sanctuary city, courts are a revolving door, open use of hardcore drugs in actually encouraged thru drug injection sites,, irresponsibly high immigration…all combine to make Toronto a pretty horrible / dangerous city. While I still own property in Toronto, I spend very little time in the city these days. On the bright side, Trudeau will be gone fairly soon…and Trump and Pierre will work well together.
