I want Justin Trudeau to stay a PM, he does not need to step down. We need him the most right now

I support the USA. The tariffs will hurt Canada and Mexico far more than the USA. In 2023 - 76% of Canada's exports were shipped to the US. That is 19% of their total GDP. Mexico exported 78% of its exports to the US, which is 37% of its GDP. US exports to Canada & Mexico combined were only 2.7%. Both countries will need to find other buyers or capitulate. No wonder Trudeau is screaming like a stray dog hit by a rock.

If anyone has kept up with Canada and Trudeau’s policies they know he has crippled Canada’s economy. This is a reciprocal tariff , why should they have tariffs on U.S. and U.S. not have any on them. Seems fair, Americans don’t need Canadas goods and have been overly charitable towards them. Very good theatre performance ?

I agree with absolutely everything Trudeau has said in his speech except for calling Trump a smart man. Trump is definitely not smart, quite the opposite. I understand that Trudeau needs to have his ego stroked, but lying to the world about Trump‘s intelligence is pointless. I am among those who started pushing back before trump took office, many are. We’re watching legislation and countering it. It won’t be easy, but we, the other half who understand that trump is crooked and dysfunctional, will not give up. Generally, Americans are not great when it comes to hitting the pavement and letting our voices be heard, but we’re getting much better. We need to be more like France, but without the destructive automobile fires and other property destruction. Life will be hell here, in my own democratic country, until the Bully is gone. I want the democrats rebranded to acknowledge the important social programs we have. Let’s face it, they did not protect us from this trump/project 2025 takeover. In a country that is intellectually compromised, lies are very effective weapons against democracy. We need better hate laws to control this lying issue.

Our dumb PM Trudeau is punishing Canadians by adding tarrifs to US products they need for their businesses and not given them time to find alternative canadian sources.
