We love America and Americans, but if someone attacks Canadian sovereignty, we will fight back. If the Canadian government invites China to invest in Technology, Agriculture, Automotive, and Oil, Canada will emerge as a different, independent, and prosperous nation. This investment could create thousands of jobs, lower EV and fuel costs, generate significant tax revenue, and strengthen the economy, as Chinese EVs are more affordable than U.S. counterparts. Ultimately, lower energy costs would decrease the cost of living and boost Canadians' spending power, attracting foreign investors to Canada.

i do not believe the American people want a President who will destroy our ties to the free World. the founding fathers of this democracy and the constitution would have placed Donald Trump and his cronies under immediate house arrest, stripped them of any authority, and taped their mouths shut while the government is reformed and the ties to the free world are re-established. If I could afford to move from the US to Canada I would move. I am so sick of Trump’s destructive behavior. I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. Now I just think of how selfish it was to sabotage Canada. American private equities want to rock our system and buy up all they can and so I am happy we are watching for this. I think Donald did this to try and buy up Canadian companies. This should be made illegal. I am willing to suffer for up to pull the plug on all resources and energy going to America “suddenly” do they have no time to adapt and collectively suffer. Trudeau does not represent Canadians. He has had a minority government for years. Trudeau was finally forced to resign months ago. He should not be speaking on our behalf. He suspended parliament and refuses to call an election. No decision / agreement can be made re. Tariffs, etc. because technically we have no leadership right now. Tariffs have been threaten for months, and the Liberals have made no moves to do what’s right for Canada. He is using this as an opportunity to regqin power. He is not a man of the people.

Just a reminder, Canada/Trudeau commited multiple atrocities against free speech and wellbeing during covid. One example being how they froze the bank accounts of people peacefully protesting the covid mandates. While I don't agree with the tariffs, everybody here should know Canada isnt the perfect, kind, friendly place you think it is. They will turn totalitarian if given enough power or given the right conditions for it.

Compare that to Trudeau—aside from his nice suits and polished public image, what has he actually done to improve the lives of Canadians? \nWe need a DOGE go into WHY WE ARE PAYING SO MUCH TAXES. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. That is not the case anymore and everything is getting worse in the past 10 years.

I'm a Canadian. I am trying to wrap my head around why a President would start a trade war by imposing tariffs that hurt their allies and hurt his own people..!? I am not an economist nor an investor; However I found it interesting that the immediate result of this as they corresponded about this news is how the markets are taking a major dive. If I wanted to make money off the stock market and had no morals and had the power to cause it to crash, I would make sure it crashed hard by imposing tariffs. Then I would invest as many billions in the key stocks that will come back, and watch my billions turn into 10's or 100's of billions...\nThe other possible explanation could simply be that he wants all the critical minerals from Canada, Greenland, Ukraine for nothing. Taking those minerals for free and selling electric cars, miliatary equipment, etc. would be most profitable!\nBut greed seems to know no bounds for those who are wealthy, as long as it's at their gain and not at their expense!
