Anyone reading this that is planning on crossing the border. I'm gonna be frank with ya. Aside from the fact that you probably shouldn't be trying to circumvent our laws just to avoid a situation you don't like in the USA right now... you also shouldn't be trying to cross our border in what is becoming our winter season. \n\nThere are plenty who try, and many do meet a grim fate due to the elements they are just not prepared for. And even if you think you can do it, or prepare enough to do it, you still shouldn't. There isn't much you can do when you have fallen into one of the many sloughs that hide beneath the snow and ice during winter, waiting to make you a popsicle. And if you get out of that, you still have to somehow get warm again. But let's say you avoid that, what then? Well, we have these really cold biting winds that make the -30 temps feel like -40 or worse. But you came prepared, so let's say you can handle that for a bit. Well, you sweat. You will get damp, then wet, over time. Then your fancy clothing doesn't do much for you anymore. Ya dig?\n\nOh but wait, there's more. So we have this wildlife eh', and it likes to do this thing that wild life does... and it eats you. Coyotes are one such kind of wildlife. Bears are another. Both are prolific in certain areas, all the way down to the border in some cases. \n\nGranted, coyotes usually aren't a huge problem for us up here, but that's cause we know how to deal with them usually. Bears are another issue, that even we have problems with at times. You'll probably run into a black bear if you run into one. Grizzlies tend to be further north and to the west. You're gone too far somehow if you find Polar bears. \n\nThere are other critters to mention, but they're more active in the summer, like rattle snakes. (Yes, we have them)\n\nOkay, so you got past the border, and you actually somehow managed to survive the winter temps in your trek to some sort of civilization. Now you have to somehow find a place to live. This is of course assuming you decided to try to bypass all our border security of course. You could go to an embassy and declare asylum I guess. But right now, you're more likely to be given a ticket back to where you came from initially. So that's not something in the game plan for you. What then?\n\nWelcome to being homeless. Oh, and you're still having to deal with our winter temperatures. \n\nSuffice to say, right now is not a good time to be trying to ignore our laws just to do whatever you want. Consider this a fair warning, as this about all the F's I have to give over it all in regards to your safety. I just am dismayed that some of you mouth breathers are going to get your kids harmed because of it all as well.

When produce prices jump in the stores because a lack of labor? When building contractors lose a portion of there labor building houses?? When the meat processors like tyson meats and others have illegals working through labor contractors!!!! Yes those of you who say how can they work? Economic indicators say the economy was good. The economy and GDP grew, but the working class didn’t think so. Well, when the number of illegal immigrants per year far exceeds the number of new jobs per year, then the wages of the working class people will not keep up with inflation. Under Biden, the new jobs each year was an average of 1.2 million, but the number of illegal immigrants coming in looking for jobs was over 2 million people. For comparison, under Obama illegal immigration was just 300-400K per year. So as you can now see, the border crisis was a much bigger issue than the Democrats cared to admit.

Those people will be in limbo, meanwhile, we the taxpayers will paying for housing, feeding, clothing, them and their health care. \n\nOh, we haven't talked about climate change.... migration to the northern wealthier countries won't stop due to climate change. It won't stop here or in Europe. But, no many people are talking about it or preparing for it. \n\nNow the Reps have control of the executive branch, the congress (both chambers), and the Supreme Court is in his pocket. So, there will be no one to blame but themselves if they don't fix what they say they will fix: Immigration, ACA, the Economy, and more.

I work for an Canadian Indian trucking company in Texas and I have to say Indians are some of the most racist people I've ever met. As an Indian origin person, I can say those students who have come in the last decade have arrived on dubious grounds. They just ask for education consultants to send them to Canada to anywhere possible, thus they go to substandard colleges and do low demand courses, like global business, culinary skills, pastry making, short bookeeping courses. These lead to nothing in the job market. Plus, they hardly study are working at labour or low end jobs. Then resort to “copying” and boasting about it. These students are well aware of all of this and further exacerbate the immigration issue here.

People when get older day by day they always try to seek for helping people and to be well behaved to others because we all know that money isn’t important when the time comes because you won’t take your money or wealth along with you after death, all you take along is your deeds(karma) so, be kind to people because god is watching everyone and the world does belongs to all the living beings , we are just a mediator who turned things into laws and boundaries for our own benefits and greed which has been witnessed since and before centuries and centuries.This world is created by god and we are held responsible to protect them for the next upcoming generations so, be kind to all and when I say all, it means the nature(organism to non-organisms).

I have been living in Germany for 6 years and I never felt I could settle. Now that I have a German partner and I’m reconsidering things, but even with that it doesn’t feel like home. What most people here say is totally true: absurd bureaucracy, bad weather, angry people everywhere. Germany is not a country for everybody. You should know very well what you want to get out of the country before considering coming here.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

I dont know wtf is this. My friend moved to Montreal , pretty quickly got a studio for 600 euro near downtown. And she says the minimum wage is enough to cover all expenses, and she is new there. She likes it there more than in Dubai, and she had a great and well-paid job in Dubai.\nYes, canada can still do better and should have higher salaries or at least lower cost of house rent. But come on, mist contries cant offer even survival on average salary! \nOK TORONTO AND VANQUVER are expensive but there are other cities where u can survive. Its bwtter than nothing. Like I explained, to those who say this will sour the us and canada's relationship. Americans don't care because even though Canada is less than 50% white, in they minds its still a majority white nation. That's why you don't see the BUILD A WALL etc, like you see with mexico, because even though the majority of immigrants crossing into the us from Mexico, might have been Mexican in the early 2000's, now that's not the case, 300k Colombians in one years, 175k indians, 75k turks, 150k, from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, 500k from Russia and Ukraine since the war began, 200k from ecuador, 75k Chinese per year etc etc. And they scream, build a wall, and make mexico pay for it. I live with 70% inflation in my country and this is what I think: \n\nI don't know if there is a direct translation of this economic model but let me explain: prices increases in two ways, if there is not enough supply, prices will increase and if there is high demand for a product&service, prices will increase. In Turkey, they increase the prices by tricking people that prices will eventually increase, so buy it right now. THIS caused a loop and huge inflation also rush to houses, cars, hard products etc. That way, companies make enormous profits especially construction companies & car manufacturers. Why did government decide to do that so? Because government wanted to secure financial status of these big companies without banks giving them loans by transferring wealth from people to companies.\n\nThere is another side for these moves: Globally, there is an ongoing plan to lower birthrate in well-developed countries such as Canada, France, Germany etc. Why is that? They say, people from western countries create more carbon emissions than people in India, Bangladesh etc and in order to ensure green transformation of energy, birthrate must(?) fall. \n\nThere are also other reasons that we live in difficult times. But that's enough. We, people, have to do something. The day passes without a protest, governments & big companies get more strength and enforces hard conditions on people.

I've been hated on by Punjabi's in the past, they were my landlords and they were hating on me. They caused the hatred between us, not me. They were basically trying to evict me for no reason and playing stupid games in order to evict me. Before that experience I was very favourable towards Indians, I can't say I am that way anymore because They ruined my experience with them. Not to mention I've been in abusive relationships with Indian men as well. I defended myself as I should have and I believe some Indian men didn't like that because women don't have a proper status in Indian culture. As I believe from my experience.
