I'm not a fan of Justin Trudeau by any means, HOWEVER... Hearing his speech just now filled me with pride to be Canadian and standing up to the new autocratic fascist government of our southern neighbour. I've watched over the last +/- 40 days the UnUnited States of America devolve into Russia's lap dog, with Putin's excrement on Orange Man's face on a near daily basis. I hope that whatever good people left down there can rise up and take back their country ASAP, otherwise the entire world will suffer the catastrophic consequences!

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

U.S citizen here. Trudeau is correct. Our government is making us pay more for products, and it isn't helping anyone in America. It is another tax on those of us who do real work.

I think it is important to note how much governments complain when they get taxed but how much they also complain they aren't taxing their people even more. Imagine if the people got this upset Everytime they were taxed. And if he wants to fight russia in wwiii he is welcome to go to russia and get it started rather than negotiate peace. Canada is also our closest leech. By all rights you shouldnt even be an independent country. You're the second biggest country in the world, you have the 28th largest military. From UK. 95% of people I know stand with Canada and expect our own government to do as much as they can to help. Many individuals are already refusing to buy US goods and services and have cancelled holidays to the USA. No more Florida, Las Vegas or even California.

Even though we as Americans might disagree with President Trump, we have to stand firm on some things here, the way PM Trudeau came on here and reversed this tariffs on the US after all we done with this is still an attack on us, we have to think broader and wider, I am a 22 year retired Navy vet and seen how these countries treat us and we have been taken advantage of, it’s time we stand firm. CNN correspondence never gives the more impactful concerns - in this case, the concern should be the fact that DT is attacking Canada, our friends, and Mexico, our friends - because he's a fkn traitor - and the US Constitution that says it's our American duty to stop people like him. This is pressure on all governments we do business with for equal trade. We are forcing countries to become more self reliant. Our dumb PM Trudeau is punishing Canadians by adding tarrifs to US products they need for their businesses and not given them time to find alternative canadian sources. He is not as smart as premier Doug Ford who is just adding surtaxes to products sold to US from Canada. An American patriot here I support whatever our allies have to do!! Trump and his administration do not represent all of Americans!! Do not trust him, he never faces any consequences legal or otherwise! Our allies stand up to him and so must American patriots.
