I also understand why you're going to retaliate, if you didn't, then I'd question your leadership. Canada has to do what's right for its people and Americans will understand why Canada has to do whatever it has to do for its People and Country. Trump's plan to make Canada the 51st State is by putting economic pressure on Canada until it can't stand anymore. This is his plan and now you can prepare Canadians for the fight ahead.
