The problem was ILLEGAL immigration, and how the liberal policies have increased ILLEGAL immigration with hard criminals including violent gangs, child-traffickers, drug-traffickers, robbers, thieves, and rapists. Mass deportation only applies to ILLEGAL immigrants AND immigrants who committed hard crimes.

Trump doesn’t have to invent a mass deportation strategy. He can copy the last president to deport over 3 million illegal immigrants- Barack Obama.

Seems to me that the definition of the problem is not clear. What is the problem that we are trying to solve? Clearly, if there are 11 million persons here illegally then there is an immigration problem. What can be done to prevent the number of illegal immigrants to grow? Deportations or mass deportations deals with those individuals that are actually here but does not address the root cause of the problem. The has to be some deportations... but those already exist and already take place. Seems to me that mass deportations is like going on a crash diet for a short time without really changing fundamental habits. The result is weight comes off in the short term but generally returns. So... what is the solution to solving the immigration system deficiencies that has led to the current situation?

Despite his rhetoric Trump cannot legally mass deport. In fact immigration judges not the President have the final say on who can and cannot be deported as immigration related cases must go through the courts per the US Constitution.

In response to the judging of immigrants. Interesting how we rarely see immigrants on our street corners asking for a handout. The Trump administrations immigration policy is actually less strict than Australia's. Who are not having to do mass deportations because their President did not encourage millions of people to just walk into the country. So this mass deporation will cost $100 bil to achieve (some estimates put it at over $300 bil) and those immigrants pay approx. $100 bil in taxes (including paying into SS, which they can't use) and many of them do menial jobs for low wages that citizens do not want to do (unless you pay them more, which raises prices)... combine this with potential tariffs and this sounds like a foolproof plan for a recession with stagflation.
