Back in the day, if you couldn't afford to live in the city, you would just move to the outskirts. Why does everyone need to live in dow town as if it's a right? Go to the outskirts and stop moaning about high rent prices! You're all just doing it to yourselves!\n\nPs: I'm canadian living in Canada and these people co planning about high rent just belive that living downtown is a right instead of a privilege.

And I think the majority of Canadians would like it if fewer people moved here from other parts of the world. In fact, they would really, really like it. This is an awful place. Go to Australia or the U.S. Thanks a bunch. Cheers.

Smh… Some peeps gotta talk apples when I’m talking oranges…as their rebuttal doesn’t quite respond in proper context to my statement. So let me be clear: the Aboriginal People have absolutely every single right to be disgruntled and complain if any nation is to do so especially after having been swindled and bamboozled out of their land and space and way of life. This is why if any nation/ group is expected to raise up and fuss and complain it’s the Natives/Indigenous People. The circumstances are not even remotely near the same here with Canadians today versus what the Aboriginals went through pre-European Canada. We don’t even need to go there. Naturally, any one particular group that occupies a certain space and then has said space slowly taken over by another group/nation will be displeased to say the least and it is their right to complain. Truly no one nation or group can occupy any land or space forever as no one truly owns the land to begin with. Who’s disputing that?? So why even complain at all over something we don’t even truly own, even though we have somewhat of a right to do so?? The world is gradually becoming more of a melting pot of different races of people. And needless to state, Canada is a country of many nations and it would be very unbecoming of any minority immigrant to be here and be racist towards and complain about the other ethnicities/minorities here. Hence what triggered my comment in the first place. Immigrants wanna boldly come here and change things to suit them. This is Canada! And that’s not how things work here. Why come to my home and then complain about the occupants? Just go back where you came from. Period!

If Canada continuous at this rate, they're not going to have many native Canadian workers at this point staying in their native country. They would even be embarrassed and refuse to fly the Canadian Flag, if the US flag gives them more opportunities than Canada does. And to be honest, at this point they could end up in a much worse recession than they were in 2008, but that's just me.

Whoever allowed it the get go this point would have known many with money will leave for a far better life. Further enslaving the average working class Canadian seems deliberate. I feel bad for future generations and the lack of prospects.

Canada is a disaster. Trudeau and Sigh are a disaster. Crime is rampant. Home prices are astronomical at one and two million dollars. Florida has brand new nicer homes for 25% of the cost at $350k. Does Trudeau think that home builders are going to build and sell for 25% of current prices? Then all those Canadians that paid $1 and 2 million would all be bankrupt having a mortgage at $1 and 2 million. Immigrants couldn't care less about Canada, and want their neighbourhood to look just like the one they left in the other country. Trudeau and Singh have done a wonderful job of destroying what was a wonderful country before the woke/progressives came to power. A renter on Vancouver Island.

Growing up in Toronto during the mid 70-80-90's and as a child we used to have to take the Subway, to a Street car then a bus alone from Dufferin & Bloor area alone as a 10 &+ yrs old. Without worry , immigrants were primarily Asia's & Jamaicans which were peaceful, respectful. The Indians etc immigration has Increased crime rates, Toronto used to be amazing. But when is enough..... ENOUGH! I'm personally leaving my once beloved country. Immigrants aren't assimilating to OUR ways, yet if going to theirs, we would HAVE TO! I'd say that there are a fair number of conservative Canadians who wouldn't mind living in the USA, or people who are rich enough that they could steer clear of a lot of the issues. However, I think most Canadians would list a European country as their first choice if things were going bad in Canada. We also have a lot of asian-canadians who would possibly also list an asian country as their first choice since they would already know the language. But yeah, USA is definitely not a first choice for I'd say 50-75% of Canadians.

At the 10 minute and 30 second point in this clip Alina gets around to highlighting how refugees are sleeping on the streets. And also, how international students can’t find accommodation and, indeed, with rents being affordable. One young woman, seethes telling is that she is “ashamed and discussed” about the plights of (as it is demonstrated by the video) are all black Africans. \n \nWell, what a total insanity it is that, we have this mid-20-year-old bleeding-heart demanding that more be done to help refugees when her fellow-Canadians are dispossessed in their own country. So, I wonder how many of these African refugees she has arranged to stay at her own, of some of her relatives’ abodes. \n \nBut, considering there would EASILY be 2 billion featureless bipeds traipsing the planet residing in the Third World who reside in dire economic, and sociological quagmires, and would UPROOT themselves in a moment to go a western country to get free housing and welfare means it wouldn’t take long to transform these places they lob in, to be turned into Third World shitholes. \n \nIn Britain (overwhelmingly England) over 80 percent of robberies, and knife crimes are carried out by black African youths who are mainly the offspring of asylum seekers from Africa. In France, Africa youths are also a huge part of their social problems. International students in Canada, Australia, Holland and NZ, are in plague proportions and are a HUGE problem: well, except for the people running education institutions, and employers who exploit them for low wages.

I'm not a huge fan of massive immigration but I honestly think the reason some of the white Canadians are homeless is because they don't want to work. Indians who come here all support each other and they're willing to do anything to make money; pizza delivery, 7/11 clerk, etc...they live in small spaces...many of them together and within a few years of hardship they save enough money to buy homes. This is not the case with some of the Canadians or Quebecors for that matter. They make fun of immigrants but are unwilling to do dirty jobs and would prefer to live off welfare....once I told a white bum who seemed in good health to go and find work, he got very aggressive. Anyway, everything is relevant!!!

Here is my opinion on this video.\n(First of all, I'm not Indian.)\n\n1. Who let them enter this country? Who approved their visas? What are the colleges, and universities issuing more and more study permits, and offer letters for one particular country? Who is taking the responsibility? \nNobody. \n\n2. Who let them build large temples, mosques and statues in this country? Who permitted to celebrate a mass rallying on public roads? Who is permitted to make a loud noise in a public place? \n\n3. Why are so-called Canadians (especially younger) not getting a higher education? Not willing to get a master's, or Ph.D.’s or even high school education. Why they are willing to get minimum-wage jobs? \n\n4. Why do these Canadians depend on social welfare system even if they can contribute their talent, and labour to this beautiful country? \n\n5. Why do we as a country face a lack of productivity issue rather than our south neighbour USA?\n\nI'm also an immigrant who came to this wonderful country (again I'm not Indian). But what I see, is nobody going to take responsibility for this social, economic and political issue. Liberals complain to conservatives, conservatives point to liberals and so on. But I would say both parties and Canadians let them play their games on this soil now they blame each other. \n\nOne last thing, I respect Canadian culture that’s why I'm in this country. If I can’t respect or adopt Canadian culture I won’t stay here and if I am in India I will respect their cultural values from my heart. If not I'm leaving.

This is the price to be paid. Canada needs desperately imigration, otherwise it will disappear as a nation in 2 or 3 generations.\nBirth rates is too low. Nobody wants kids because life in freezing countries is too expensive due winter gears, hitting, cars, insulation in every building, store or house, gas, salt on streets,  shovelling, mandatory insurance for everything, health care is a joke, and so on. It is endeless. \nCanada is definitely an uninhabitable place. 92% of canadians live very close the US border due the miserable freezing endeless drepressing 9 months cold weather. Nobody wants go north. Freezing weather makes life unbearable and extremely expensive. If we had a free US-Canada border, Canada would  be empty..\n\n.

This whole idea of groups of people taking over and changing a landscape is the cycle of human history. White Europeans aren't the first 'Canadians' lol. It may make people uncomfortable but just deal and remember we are all just humans trying to make a life, have a family and income. Expats do go to other countries and make their own little clubs, take over land and business. People seek opportunities no matter where they go. The only point I would agree with here is that the rate of immigration may not be sustainable with the housing shortage etc.

I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

Justin Trudeau and Sean Fraser letting in a million Indians to study at strip mall colleges is what caused our housing crisis. i thought we got rid of places like Devry and ITT Tech a long time ago, why are we being flooded with phony diploma mills now all of a sudden? importing millionaires from India and China has out-competed middle class Canadians for housing, you need overseas money or you have to be part of organised crime to own a home in southern ontario now. document fraud seems to be rife in the Indian community, but nobody ever seems to get deported, why is that? i don't think India or China would tolerate a bunch of newcomers breaking the rules in their country, why are we allowing it in Canada? Canada isn't building enough houses for all the people its letting in, our infrastructure is in desperate need of upgrades. we have no rapid transit outside of Toronto. The Liberals are just fleecing new immigrants and international students because they've tapped out the Canadian middle class. Canada needs to limit newcomers to 250,000 a year and put an end to the international student scam. Trudeau's WEF approved immigration policies absorb like olestra and the cost of living is killing Canadians and destroying the dreams of locals and newcomers alike. people have been misled about the type of life they are going to get in Canada and that is sad. the government is lying that everything is fine. cost of living and crime are out of control and the Liberals are the biggest thieves of them all.

the amount of immigrants that have moved into my Small town Amherst NS has well surpassed us AmherstStonians that have lived here ! im a 37 year old white female born and raised Canadian that speaks English and everywhere i go there is a employee that doesnt understand what im saying, everywhere i look there is a place posted for rent thats overpriced & a business being sold to the wealthy , where the take the small town feel and what do these newcomers bring ?? nothing !!? they take from Canada & i wish they would go back to where they come from ! your not Canadian and u know it \nbut they prob don't understand my english right

Harrison .. next stop should be Surrey B.C. where I grew up over 60 years ago. The demographic has largely shifted completely from Anglo Saxon to Indian, Sikh and Muslim almost overnight. Canadian Governments have been more concerned with making Money than supporting a well established Homeland, that they've not only lost the plot, they have prostituted our Heritage as Canadians !!! Raping us of our culture and well being. I've lived in the Middle East, there is no way you would get away with going against the grain of their LAWS. Why’s the white population declining in cities like Brampton where immigrant populations are soaring? Go to an immigrant owned business, they don’t hire white people. Go to immigrant owned rentals, they don’t house white people. So why would white Canadians move to a city or area that won’t house or employ them? Even canadian universities are turning down more and more Canadian born students in favour of international students because they pay more. It’s sad to see Canadian born youth being rejected by their own country institutes. You would never see this in India or China or Pakistan.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. It’s not the screw goes right back to Trudeau. All the cared about was making money and that is it charging immigrants so much you know what I mean and getting money from the government but it’s not going I believe to the migrants it’s not even going to the Canadian citizens. Mr. Trudo does not care. He only cares about himself and how to make a quick buck in the hell with anybody else. They should’ve been clear when you made a commercial and made it look beautiful on how you can kill yourself if you’re suffering depression. There was a young girl in her 20s, that’s a kid and because she had depression and why did she have depression? She was homeless and she had diabetes. She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. I am Canadian and I feel like that the only way is to leave Canada and go for Europe. At least there I know that my work would help make my life better than Canada where I feel that no matter how much work is done, Canada will stay the same

Moved here from Slovakia in 2016. I would never believe that one day we will think about going back... \nMain problem here is Canadians. Most of them are submissive, not having own opinion TV endlessly trusting liberal people who absolutely don't think for themselves or about something that is served to them and refuse to see the truth. That's why Communists are having it so easy to turn this place into new USSR... Canadians only care for themselves and are willing to have 6 jobs, give up their kids to daycare, they'll do whatever they're told...\nIt's not economics. Economics is a result of the mentality here.

Singapore Airlines is an absolute treat to fly on. I gather in a microcosm, it is interesting to compare Air Canada and Singapore airline or all Nippon airways, with Air Canada. Air Canada is very expensive for a one or two hour flight, not so in Southeast Asia. Air Canada service is horrible, intimidating, and nasty. Singapore airlines and all Nippon airways, is exactly the opposite. Air Canada makes it very difficult for you too make claims on cancelled flights, broken luggage, and breaches of contract. Singapore airlines and other airlines in Southeast Asia go out of their way to advert a claim. The taxes on a ticket with Canada is horrendous, both indirect and direct taxes, in Singapore and all Nippon airways, much more reasonable. I think when you compare to airlines or multiple airlines against Air Canada, Air Canada is a microcosm of economics, workplace normality, and courteousness. Canadians will always say “I am sorry. “but let me assure you for somebody that is both, culturally Asian and Canadian, they don’t mean it a bit. The culture is more passive aggressive than anything else. Canadians are distant, and have a very, very remote education on their own country. I also have to give credit to the Singaporean pilots. There is usually the captain, first officer, and a second officer or two upfront. Excellent training for the up-and-coming first officers and captains. In Canada, of course we don’t do this. I feel at the safety upfront, especially in an IFR environment, is being sacrificed in Canada and North America. cost is everything, will safety seems like it has taken a backseat. Second officers should be mandatory on all Air Canada flights. This is not the case anymore. Also, on a visual approach to hit the button, I would definitely give the Singapore captain the edge. The hands and feet of an air. Canada pilot has deteriorated beyond belief where, if they don’t have their flight management system and auto pilot going in full tilt, they start sweating and second-guessing themselves. I’ve witnessed this many times.

There is a temporatory stop of foreigners buying home for 2 years. It use to be that a foreign student IE CHINESE)can buy home when they go to school here. They would graduate go back to their country and leave the house empty, leaving us Canadian with no home to buy or the prices are too high. The federal government accept immigrants and foreign students (more than 1 million in 2023 ) but not give the time nor finance for the provincial governments to built up the infrastructures to a accomdate them ie hospitals/doctors,schools houses…..very irresponsible of this government.

He wont, he will continue to blame sean fraser, and sean fraser will continue to forget he's had both the housing and immigration files for the last 8 years. Its all part of their plan, displace as many canadians as possible until we literally grab them by the collars and drag them out. Given the timeline, I would think we'd have to go through absolute hell between now and then, if I am happy that I own nothing. As Canadian who was a two term elected official, I would say that one large issue\nis too many government staff. These people are less than competent/unionized, and do not answer to\nthe community, rather they see themselves as superior. For instance, the BC Wildfire\nservice burned out 250 homes by Shuswap Lake last summer by lighting a backfire.\nThey told the local logging contractors they couldn’t put out the fire because the\nBCWS were the experts. Actually the BCWS crews are children with connected parents\ngoing to university. They don’t start on the fire when it is small and easy to extinguish.\nThey aren’t workers, they are sitting in class most of the year. They eat breakfast in a restaurant\nin town then get to the fire by 10ish and go home for supper around 4:30. I sold a beautiful property in Canada ten acres of maple bush with a home . Just north of Toronto .it was difficult but l read the tea leaves.....would it be worth much more today... obviously...but l was lucky to build a beautiful home on a whitesand beach in Asia.....taxes are $500.00 a year hydro $200.00....insurance and other costs are insignificant.....the big gain is peace of mind and absolute privacy with only a fraction of the sale of my Canadian home..never going back

I'm 36 born and raised Canadian and if I were able to get out of this country I would... I was rushed to the hospital with congestive heart problems not as far as failure but definitely issues and I waited over 14 hours in the waiting room. Taxes are out of control government is no better than a communist government with Trudeau I wish nothing good for that goof. And I don't find it going to get any better within my lifetime

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

Canada cannot make its own money. So what does it do? It has to figure out unethical ways to bring in money. This is done by bringing in immigrants. There is multiple birds with one Stone hit here. Meaning gives immigrants the lie of a better life. So they take all their money that they have in their nation. And they bring it here. That's free money that Canada did not have to work for and now other nations have lost. then they lied to them and tell them that they can get anything they want. For me to get a franchise here while owning other businesses was IMPOSSIBLE 5 yrs ago. But these guys with no credentials are getting it right away. My mother had an international driver's license from France and she had to go through hoops to get her licence here. They are handing things over with no screening to these people which is cause instability and chaos. No structure. They let them bring their huge money here and put into franchises with no credentials. Bank loans free approval no questions asked. Meanwhile, most of those franchises will never make any money. Then they will take that money also, and put it into homes. Rent etc, and this is the part where they basically drain the immigrant money in an instant and put it into Canada economy. Now that you have all these immigrants buying all these businesses. Now you need slave work, so you start Bringing it more immigrants to work those slave jobs. Because in the 1990s, all the way up to 2010. You were encouraging Education. During that time Education was the money Maker. So you kept pushing that. Billions went to universities. I am 66 , I had to take my ill wife to emergency at the Peterborough hospital about 3 months ago. After sitting for 2.5 hours in an over crowded emergency room, I asked how much longer before we see a doctor. We were told by a nurse it would be another few hours at least and it could be up to 5 more hours after that to see the specialist she needed. So the wait could be 10.5 hours, we waited 2 more hours, then we got up and left. If we ever go back it will be in an ambulance. But to be honest We are done with this broken, rotting health care system. I blame the bum that has destroyed this country and destroyed the Canadian health care system.

As an American I would NEVER want to live in Canada. Their salaries are much lower than an American salary and they have much higher taxes. As a huge hockey fan, you almost never see an American hockey player go to a Canadian team as a free agent because of the crazy taxes.
