It’s impossible to get jobs now as a high school or college student because all the fast food and retail jobs that a few years ago you could walk in with no experience and get hired you won’t even hear back

Scapegoating? It's simple supply and demand, and nothing can change it. Socialism won't fix it, importing impoverished people won't fix it, legislation won't fix it. You have to attract people with the proper skillsets to make the country and city better. Having a booming population and no room to grow doesn't do that. The California Bay Area and Los Angeles area has already seen the problems this causes, companies and skilled workers are moving to places that they can afford to live and build companies. With more people comes less opportunities, Canada needs to learn from the mistakes of others. Do not take everyone, take those who want a better life but can also give back to the country.

As a Filipino watching the economy of USA from afar, I think that no other politician has shown significant concern to help its economy except for Trump. He's pretty bold and not scared to voice out issues that make the democrats uncomfortable. It is not for me to decide who others will vote. However, I see a leader in Trump and he's not afraid to fight back. It's only a matter of time for the Chinese to create its own microchips that are of novelty and prestige. Their economy is of course stagnant as of the moment because many foreign companies pulled out from China. Nevertheless, do you think it's going to be forever? They will cope and soon establish theirs given their population and government financial backing. Trump was right to put trade war against them to regulate foreign trade as it did with Japan. All countries will suffer when the dollar loses the international prestige. It is fastly losing it's international reputation as of these days. If this won't halt, imagine a future where the Chinese RMB will be the basis of international trade. You don't know the real plan of the Silk Road guys. Americans are conquerors and we have adjusted with their ways already. And, the Chinese are conquerors as well. Their goal is to really surpass the USA. The rise of China has benefited every ASEAN member, but greatly the former than the latter. We can adjust with their ways. However, America and Europe may not be that ready to adjust their ways for them should they surpass USA. The USA has become complacent and too liberal where individual rights, although important, have gone too far-fetched. This has created entitled individuals who think they own the world. Now, look at the Chinese. While most young Americans are busy dancing in TikTok and the likes of wasting time for entertainment, most young Chinese are studying hard and upskilling. Let's remember that America became great because of its inventions and extremely the nuclear power. Without great minds, minds that are feebled by drugs and misguided philosophies, a society will crumble. USA can use its weapons and influences against other countries, but can it hold the progress of it's rival economy for the rest of the years? You guys need a leader who is competitive and won't back down from a fight. As of these days, given only two political candidates to choose for presidency, I dare say that Trump has a higher bidding for the goodness of USA. Of course he wasn't able to accomplish his plan before after you guys impeached him. How the hell can a leader complete its plan after being halted unprecedentedly amid his administration? Kamala Harris looks promising but not convincing. Aura, although unquantifiable, do speak something. Choose your leader and it will choose your fate. Let's hear what the two sides will share this upcoming debate. If I'm American, whoever wins that debate, wins my heart. As easy as that. You see, if someone can be defeated so easily in his or her country through debate, do you think that whoever that someone who wins will be able to compete globally? Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

WOW! Sorry Cash but American are VERY undereducated about Canada. This has been going on for years on the boarder. It just up - ticked in the last couple. One of the problems here is we have ZERO vacancy rates , which makes it worse ...we have nowhere to put them, Then there's our foreign student problem which is very complicated and involve CON MEN in India , who have contacts/ family here and work the system. Up to and including helping them get drivers permits...illegally. There's all sorts of loop holes , how we found out about the drivers permits, why traffic accidents became more frequent of course. Then there's the fake colleges they set up and yeah the student gets a minimum wage job and lives in a house stacked with ppl in the same boat as them. Then find out they being rooked and stay with no education or if they do get a legit school they can't stay here and become a citizen because they can't find work in the higher professions ( doctor ) because the system is screwed then they move back home with a good education and leave us with gaps in our medical system. It's complicated and won't be solved anytime soon on either side.

Why broken? They are coming to use the system by registering noncompetitive schools. Working in 3 jobs not going to school to pay the tuition? This is scam and against education visa conditions. Chinese than almost all other international students violating the system while we tax payers compensating them. So this is the end. They will complete education and if not needed will go back. Went to Canada in 2005 first. Things were so different. Was there just for a year before moving to California for about 9 years. Now back in India and love it here. Glad I enjoyed the good days in Canada and USA when it was really good times there. Even Many parts of Uaa are like this now. UK too is bad choice. I worked for a Canadian school/institute as their admissions advisor for India. But when things were not looking good for their job prospects I honestly told them not to go or wait to get in a better US university. Ofcourse this ethical mindset was causing trouble with my work profile and targets, so I quit. Atleast I won't feel guilty of misguiding hopeful students who were ready to take education loan by keeping their homes or ancestral lands as mortgage. I will advise the new generation to choose any country for education after doing all research, not just by the glossy picture they portray.. or best to stay in India and help our economy grow.. create jobs here. Better to live a life king size here than doing labour work in other countries. Better to be a part of growing India than being a secondary citizen somewhere else. Apna desh apna hota hai.???

As a child from Northen Europe ?? I remember when my grandmother told me about our distant relatives living in Canada ( due to war) and how powerful, rich and fair country this is and that everyone has good life there. Now, 25-30yrs later everything has changed. Big part of Europe and Northern-America aren’t the same anymore due to mass immigration. Even my own country with only 1,3 million population ( Estonian 69.1%, Russian 23.7%, Ukrainians etc). We have taken in quite a lot ukrainian war refugees, who atleast share the same values as we do. But I still see a lot of people in the street wearing burkas and our demographic is changing. People need to stand up for theirselves and protect their countries heritage and culture or otherwise there won’t be anything left for our children. My parents/ elders fought for their right to become free country and Estonia took back it’s independence in 1991.

I moved to USA with my wife in 2022. Initially we felt very good being in a developed country. But eventually we started seeing the realty. In movies, USA is shown as the perfect place to be. Cops, healthcare, services, quality of life, everything. We reality is opposite. So many homelessness, theft, cops won't even take action, car breaks, expensive healthcare. I was shocked that USA isn't as perfect as advertised! The loneliness is so bad that US surgeon general declared loneliness as epidemic!! Mental health issues, so much depression, drugs. What is mental health I got to know only after being in USA. Seeing the reality of USA, me and my wife decided to move back to India in early 2024. We have started appreciating India alot! The kind of growth India is witnessing in last 10 years is mindboggling. Infact India is much ahead of USA in many things. Honestly we felt we downgraded our lifestyle when we moved to USA.

We shouldn’t have to fill the country with new housing. Part of what makes this country so beautiful is its natural wilderness and landscapes. If people looking to migrate here won’t assimilate or can’t contribute in a meaningful way, deny entry and send them back.

Many people are leaving Canada because they have already obtained Canadian citizenship. Hopefully, they won’t come back to collect free retirement money as a low-income family from our government after they retire!

I went back to India and came back again in 11 months. \nOnly digital payment system is a plus. \nPpl are still peeing on the wall , basic necessities like water is a problem, traffic is crazy, garbage, rats everywhere, literally stinks in rainy season, if an accident happens,help won’t be able to reach on time. \nThese days mostly both parents are working, and outsourcing their home chores including cooking. All you see is maids mostly. As both the parents are working kids mostly hoping from one activity class to another.Basically, like foreign countries you hv to make extra efforts to make friendship and then to sustain them. \nOnly housewives who of course, hv maids even for dusting , you would see n meet, who would color coordinate their outfit and control the festivities in society. \nLike abroad mostly relationships n friendships are transactional, relatives are already well settled in their respective lives and busy.\nEducation system is not hash and strict as before but teachers are. Indian education is still elaborated and we Indian parents still give pa pushy environment at home that’s it. Apart from that no other eduation is provided like harmonal changes to kids who are about to go in teenage, addiction , behaviour etc… I can write on n on but will some up : your only 3 or 4 member family matters .. 2 parents n kids … rest is all over world us same..

I’m a Canadian and my wife is an immigrant for Punjab and even she thinks this is all getting out of control. She came here to start a new life with me after we met and to get away from Indian culture which she thinks is now seeping into everything. In India it’s survival of the fittest, one must do everything they do and take advantage of everything in order to scrap by. Canada and the Canadian mindset isn’t equipped to handle that, so it’s no surprise you’re suddenly seeing Indians everywhere who are telling Indians back home how to exploit the systems to get more money fast. Hijacking what systems Canadians have to gain the social mobility that they can’t have in India but in doing so they’re making it like India. They don’t respect any other culture than their own my wife won’t even step foot in Brampton because it looks, sounds, and even starting to smell like India. And the problem is being exasperated because these people who are from very tight families are trying to bring their whole families too people who are elderly with no literacy or language skills to integrate into Canadian society to work and contribute to the economy so they just live off of their children who came first. I’m not racist all of my friends are international and are of one ethnicity or another and I’ve been to India and love the country it’s beautiful with amazing food lol, but this is getting too much out of hand and we’re letting in the most cut throat Indians in who will exploit everything and step on anyone to get on top. They won’t even respect Canadian laws and customs. We’re not equipped to deal with them

Anyone who's in Canada, there's going to be mass protests across the country on Canada Day against mass immigration. It's called Take Back Canada and they're happening all over the country so take a look at which ones are happening near you and get out there, let's do more than just comment on Youtube and actually show our governments we won't tolerate this destruction of our country! I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. you need to move to china for living for a year or 2, and then go back to Canada, you will be thankful for the price of commodities in Canada. form a guy spent 24 years in china. and i was a Trader whos making $50K a years when i was living in china. can't afford to eat salmon and beef, if you insist to do it, you can spend 200 -- 300 a day just by eating. in Canada i can eat salmon and beef three meals a day for the rest my life and won't affect my quality of life.

Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. No one called them Palestinians and no one was demanding for there to be their land. \n\nCalling themselves an adapting the term Palestinian was simply a PR move. \n\nFor the Arab Nations to adopt this terminology, is really a testimony to the fact that the Arab Nations don't want this radical brand of Islam in their countries. \n\nThe so-called Arab AKA Palestinians are in fact a more radical branch of Islam that is associated with Iran's version of Islam not the generally accepted practiced Islam amongst the Arab states and their affiliations. \n\nThis is why Egypt doesn't want them, this is why Jordan won't take them back. Because historically speaking most of these Arabs came from Jordan. This is why Saudi Arabia doesn't want them. \n\nThey don't want their extremism to be brought into their culture, into their land and causing problems there.

Back in the 90’s people were pushing to “vote for Clinton” - Husband and or wife because they wanted healthcare based on the “Canadian model”. Sorry to see Canada implode so quickly under Trudeau but I think what you’ll find south of the 49th parallel is that we move much slower towards our demise so people either won’t notice it or associate the criminal economic policy to the economic corpse. It’s called the Federal Reserve and the whole world has been subsidizing our orgy since 1913. That’s how slow this death spiral really is. Do what’s best for you. As a Canadian that lives right on the Canada US border, I went to the states in very early '80s, 4 times. Not going back any time soon. Darien Lake and House of Guitars in NY, Mackinaw Island. If Dodo trump is elected(he won't be) I will never go back because the US will becone the new North Korea.

Canada was great until we opened the floodgates and allowed ANYTHING to come in. Now they complain but won't leave. BRING BACK CANADIAN CULTURE.

Toronto was my home town...I am now 73 but have lived in Norwich, England for decades. My relatives have moved out of Toronto to the Muskokas; but they always tell me how expensive the city now is. My cousin was in real estate so he knows whereof he speaks! Another cousin has moved to New Brunswick. I cannot go back any more because I always see more societal decline and it depresses me thoroughly. The Toronto of the Centennial year 1967 I will always remember fondly: a paradise! Problems seemed to be something other cities experienced. And the Leafs won the Stanley Cup!
