I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

When I first visited Amsterdam and walked around my hotel looking for a coffee in 2016, 15 min later, I came back to my hotel giving coffee to my wife and told, watch something bad is going to happen here soon, extremists are trying recruit people of color. Since I was new to the place, I came across 3 people asking me if I am a muslim. I politely said no. This incident was good enough for me to guess, but I did not tell anyone except my wife because no one will believe me including my wife. Two years later, Amsterdam terrorists attack happened. Helping people is my nature, but my help is to stand on their feet not burden to anybody. So, elect good politicians not on party basis but by character.

Actually she's isn't wrong if indians start taking over jobs and properties or businesses in canada where will the natives go? It's their country so they have the right to speak up if your presence or actions is hurting them atleast she didn't abuse you she was honest about the problem she and her family might be facing because of indians and indian government should bs ashamed that every year massive amounts of indians abandon their citizenship and settle in other countries spreading like a virus engulfing opportunities that the natives deserved... So if u get hate for that... You can either be shameless and bare it or have some shame and return to your country give the natives some releif.... As soon as people from other states were allowed to settle in Maharashtra they overpopulated the state making it very conjusted for natives....indians especially the sanatani community once they spread beyond a limit in a country they try to force their ideologies on the natives thus ruining the peacefull environment and now even the indian government seems to be involved in a murder of some sikh guy which was expected considering the hate for sikhs they spread here in india which is how they win elections...

It makes no sense to go back more than 10 years. Start with those that have felonies, or don’t have a history of working. Work from the present, and go back. Give those that have learned English an easier pathway, but all who have a history of being law-abiding and productive get a pathway to citizenship. It should be difficult, but possible. \nThose that are not law-abiding or productive get sent back. We don’t need more welfare slaves or recidivists. We have plenty. \nOnly full citizens have the privilege of voting. It is NOT a right.

I am an EU citizen, moved initially from Romania to Czech republic, where I was for 2 years and then last year I decided to give Germany a try. Given that the SW engineering field that I am part of allows me to live comfortably in most EU countries, I am planning to relocate back to CZ or Romania within max 2 years. I was pretty much shocked to find out that compared to the costs, the salary isn't all that great vs living in a bigger Romanian city and that it's a complete downgrade vs Czech Republic, and I'm saying this as someone who lived in Prague of all places. \nOverall, salary aside, everything has been a downgrade for me vs Romania and significantly worse vs Czech Republic. \nI guess nationalist germans will be happy to hear this, one less immigrant willing to stay here and convincing others at the same skill tier to try any other EU country(minus bulgaria and austria).

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

They don't need security or criminal record checks are exempt from foreign real-estate buyers ban. What moredo they need? Claiming assylum gives them free education rent and food for over 2 or more years if there counties were that bad they would have been able to come even as students.

Like I explained, to those who say this will sour the us and canada's relationship. when I came to the west 10 years ago.. for immigrants that was a opportunity.. we stayed on our best behavior and often out worked citizens and always gave our 110%. the amount of stress we took to keep a job, to stay in college and work 40hrs job on the side... the extra hours we spent at work to just give our best. all my work is for nothing.... its like the govt has spat in our face and opened the flood gates...

Just so people understand how we live.. I'm a disabled person who lost my leg working for the government and was put on a pension that gives me 19k a year.. my rent is 18k a year.. an asylum. Seeker or immigrant receives 62k per year I have one asylum Seekers living with me. And dosent work and makes more them my that works full time even though I can't walk and he get to drive around in a new car and send money home to take care of his family back home n sends money back to get more family members here to get more money

I am wondering why 170k is the lowest point of home affordability? Any number can be, you just have to save for a down payment that will in return give you an interest rate that is affordable for your income. Lower income? Save longer. Is your estimation based off of buying a home with no savings? And over how much time? I definitely wont make 170 per year but I certainly will be able to afford to mortgage a home in the coming years. I am 26.

As someone who lived and came to Canada over a decade ago through LEGIT means and assimilated with the country and culture there, the problem isn’t the fact they are Indian- the problem comes from the blatant disregard for everything and everyone that isn’t one of them. One Indian gets into a hiring or managerial position and that store will never hire anyone that isn’t one of them again. My mother has been with Walmart for 8 years and has seniority yet she’s been bullied by them so badly it’s infuriating. They rejected her transfer applications and yet made a kid who couldn’t even speak English the manager for her shifts. Secondly, the food and hosting quality has gone to shit in restaurants or any food service place. Tim’s, dominos, you name it-it’s filled with Indians that will either be sloppy and not clean with the food prep or just give you the wrong shit consistently. Third,the disregard for rules and everything else. The crimes being committed by mainly Indians have skyrocketed, a while back there was an Indian gang in BC trying to extort other brown businesses and it was confirmed by the authorities. That as well as the fact Brampton stopped showing south Asian films due to drivebys caused by Indian folk and then the fireworks drama during Diwali was outrageous and dangerous to anyone that was passing by.

All the Universities, especially in Ontario Colleges official representatives came to my home town , and told me that if I spend this much amount of money to study this many years , I can apply for a PR. That is why I came here. I chose to study in Algonquin college, Ottawa.I spend 4 times more than a Canadian student which I don't complain.\nAt least authority should keep there word, or give back the money. \nThey should not invite those students.\nThose who telling us to go back , should go back first Europe and practice what they preach.\nStudents came here in a student Visa, which can legally apply PR. Students are not illegals or refugees. I never got not Govt privileges. Some nice Canadians showed me the grace which I am always Thankful.\nCanada should let them know first ,before closing door and getting all their money.\nI am ready to talk or debate to any media regarding this issue.

Nothing wrong with International students as long as they are Not All from India. It's as if Indian government moles have penetrated the Canadian gov under Trudeau to only bring Indians to Canada and give only Indians all the work permits. My family came from Canada from India over 100 years ago we came over here legally we tried to assimilate I think what really bothers me now is that these new international students are giving all of us a bad name most of them cheat on their English exams back in India, and this is a known fact most of them can’t speak English and hence why they fail the colleges here expecting to be passed automatically. they work over 40 hours a week illegally and lie about it The government is subsidizing international students but they are taking jobs away from our students. We paid taxes my entire life and my son applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing because every single job is taken over by international students they are they are abrasive. They are entitled, they cannot seem to understand how assimilation works. They are so entitled and they feel they can protest out in the streets when they dont get PR. They came on a student visa and were expected to go home. They are now complaining and protesting at this point they all need to be sent home because this is ridiculous, PR should be handed out as needed not automatically and right now there are so many Canadians without jobs so we don’t need more workers. I also work in healthcare most of the students or their families come in don’t have appropriate healthcare and we end up paying millions of dollars in healthcare bills because of them, we have had families come visit their international students with no healthcare having strokes costing us healthcare workers and the government over $1 million. We don’t have the infrastructure for these students to stop. The government needs to stop subsidizing. The government needs to stop handing out PR like they’re handing out candyscamin India and here charged enough is enough. I will def be writing to my politician

In the Ontario town I grew up in back in the 60's, most families had at least four children, most dads had factory jobs and most moms were stay at home moms. Most families owned modest three bedroom homes, kids played sports, had bicycles, food on the table and never felt poor. If you are under 30 today, the Canada you are in absolutely SUCKS by comparison. When I graduated high school in the mid 70's I could have got a factory job that paid 10k a year and bought a modest home for 20k. Now, in the same town, a person earning 100k needs about 800k to buy that same house. So, people under 30 are giving up on getting married, having children and buying homes. Canada, thanks to Justin Trudeau, is on its way to becoming a third world country, but without cheap food.

Every time I go two a job agency that our owned buy indians people they always say we will call you if a job will come up and that happens two me every time I am so feed up of this bull shit my friend. Same in all Euroe. If you come to Europe illegally, you are welcomed, provided with food, shelter, there are programs to fit you into the society (which I am not saying is bad, but is someone doing something illegal). On the other hand, for a Doctor, that spent 8 years just university education, they put thousands of barriers and we just see the illegals already having an appartment paid by the government while we are making the line to pay for a medical license exam (that I needed to study 8 years to be able to apply for) and in german (that I needed to study another 2-3 years to learn + 1 year specific for medical german). I will not receive a free housing like they do and they will not look for giving me a job like they do.

Cut all government funding to universities and give the money directly to Canadian citizens who attend university. That way the international and local students can be on the same footing with no question that Canadian taxpayers are subsidizing foreign students while their own children cannot get admission. The only thing I would say cause you seem to be very young. Is that brampton actually in the 70's and to early 2000's used to be mostly a white and black community and then other cultures. I am born in Toronto I have a cousin born in Toronto who currently lives in brampton she owns a house in brampton for about 25 years. And is going through a lot mentally with the slamming. We got of people from India mostly in the last 2 years, but it's been going on slowly over 10 years and she's not doing well with the overwhelment of Indians and we're of black Jamaican heritage. So just so you know, brampton used to actually be white and then black was actually the second largest population and everybody else was after that. And then in the last 10 years they started coming but it wasn't in hundreds of thousands and then in the last 2 years it blew up insanely. As that man described is like an invasion. I now live on the West Coast of Canada and the same thing has happened here. And it's been a lot for me Canadian born. I've always grew up with every culture. I've lived and worked around the Indians that used to come here were literally not even on the radar. I mean you see them, but you just they just blended in because most of them had assimilated and were doing their lives. The breed that has come over specifically in the last 2 years is what is making it even worse cause if they acted like the ones who came before 10 -20 -30 years ago. They probably wouldn't stand out, but then again when you bring in almost a million, into all of Canada, they would stand out, but maybe people wouldn't be so agitated, if they had tried to assimilate and be respectful to the other cultures here and that is the number one complaint I hear anytime, I see interviews. Is people saying they don't assimilate? They're very rude to anybody who is not them. They are just interacting with the environment. The way they do at home, Canadians are more quiet and try to be respectful of other cultures. We like to just have their own space and our own peace when they're moving throughout this space and a lot of people describe the energy of the Indians coming in almost evasive into your space and then not really carrying anything about invading ur space. They act like, so what's the big deal if I'm in your space and that has been the number one issue is just the rudeness. Not assimilating and imposing their culture, speaking their language, not attempting to integrate with other cultures showing actually a lot of racism to some of the other cultures. And that has been the biggest problem. So just so you know, cause I can tell you're young. I'm North 40 years old and I can tell you. The demographic change has been so intense everywhere in Canada especially in the last 2 years. That I have even seen podcast with Indian people who have been here 10 -20-30 years, saying the government needs to figure out a way and get a good swath of these people gone because they are. Staining them with a negative brush. Cause I can tell you. It's only in the last 5 years. That I notice Indians. I've grown up around every culture. And I just don't notice individual cultures in that way. Until in 2022, Trudeau took the guard railsl off the foreign worker program and the student Visa working program. And just said Hey, anybody want to come bum rush the door now? And India is known for having middlemen in India that work with Fake Diploma Mills scholls with brampton having over 80 of them that the middlemen work scamming Indians by telling them if they pay anywhere from $5000 all the way up to $50,000 even higher to get fake school acceptance letters, so they can come here to get the word permit and work full-time or with companies that provide fake LMIA job offers on the black market, which is illegal under the I.R.C.C, but that is a thing that they had prior to 2022. And when Trudeau took the guards rails off when it comes the requirements and basically. Made it a free-for-all and as India already had the scamming infrastructure in place that kept their population moderate and it just allowed th scammers to go nuts, so that's why we got mostly Indians. Other cultures do it too, but it's so tiny. It's not noticeable. The Indians already had the infrastructure in place that when they took off the guard rails, it was easy for them to switch and start selling these opportunities to go to these fake schools was over 80 of them in brampton t such a lightening speed. Hence why we got slammed so hard-and-fast with that specific community.That just really we're coming here to work and send money home and that is also why a lot of our banks are now struggling with cash reserved because they're sending money home. I was born in ?? and at your age Alina I left Vancouver and moved to Europe. I too saw no future and no way of having quality of life there. In the past 20 years I have watched ?? just fall apart and get worse and worse and it breaks my ❤️. One has to choose where life will be best for you and then give it your all. For me, by far, it was the best choice I ever made because the life I have now would never have been achievable, especially in Vancouver. People will tell you and you can tell yourself that you can just move back and visit all the time but in reality, that does not happen and you need to accept all the loss that leaving will bring. Why the government gives indian students to work permit for 20 hours or 40 hours. Indians students are here to study and study only not to work full time or part time and stealing Canadian jobs from our Canadian kids. 2.5 millions Indians in 2 years entered Canada is a big mistake for Trudeau government.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? I don’t believe so. I did to deserve it. \n\nSo, don’t put everybody on the same basket.
