Welp, about a half an hour ago when I got home, I realized that someone broke into my apartment building and stole my shoes that were infront of my door. SHOES. last year someone broke in and stole my bike. The thing is, this area was NEVER like this. It was safe and people trusted each other. Guess what has changed? The amount of immigration in my city and in this area. I am terrified during the night that someone will break into my apartment since theyve been able to get into the building. If you do not properly become a Canadian citizen, such as assimilating to our culture, language and so on and leaving your shitty ideas behind, then you are not wanted and you do not belong here. Im tired of wanting to move out my apartment but i cant cuz foreigners are buying up property and jacking up rent prices. And yes i am a daughter of an immigrant. And i see student housing being built and the rent is cheap! My rent has gone up twice in 2 years. Nothing is available under 1300 unless you rent a room. Nobody can change my traditions because they are mine and dont affect anyone. Groceries are unreal. I dont have a car anymore. I dont have children or a partner. Social time or entertainment is this. Youtube and my 2 dogs one of which now needs a leg amputation as she has cancer in her paw. I have a gofundme but its slow. But i see other pet owners that have them and because they use their pet as their unpaid actor they have made the money needed in days. Im just offering paperwork,proof,photos,making beaded collars,to try and make more. Im trying to open my own business doing nails. But callbacks from offices are not happening. My mental health has suffered since I was 18. I am gen x. Being a minority doesnt mean i get whatever i want either.

I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

Our laws about accepting refugees and asylum seekers need to get better. These new comers are changing Canadas as I write this. Our Canadian ways are being disregarded and disrespected. And allowing this new comers to dictate how they can live here. It’s not like what it was where we need to be qualified to live and immigrate to Canada. Now these new comers are trashing our parks, scamming good samaritans, scheming to get support from our government, and lastly, changing the demographics in Canada. Our laws need a better champion so the majority of good law abiding, good hearted, true Canadian citizens a better Canada. A Canada that allows good lawful immigrants to create a good future for their families. Adapting to our Canadian ways like , qualifying for work base on knowledge, skill, adaptability, acceptance, tolerance, and the heart to show love not on the base of the color of your skin, religion, nationality, gender, or creed. Canada is so much more and shouldn’t be changed by new comers that want to push their ways, beliefs, religion and agenda for their own benefit. No Canadian should be pushed to accept these new comers ways into our future.

They should deport all asylum seekers if they want to save Canada cause they do nothing still get money and all other benefits same as Canadian would get, infact they get more benefits. Problem isn’t the international students the real problem is illegal immigrants

I think that putin dreams of having the entire Europe to himself and that trump will actually want everything around the USA which includes ofc, Canada. That was their deal. I am trying to get my Architect's license but immigration Canada keeps giving all the Intern Architect jobs to immigrants instead of Canadians like me who want to build more housing. If you want more housing then you need to give future real estate developers like me a job as an Intern Architect. I can't build houses if I am unemployed.
