Skilled? Tim Horton's isn't something we need to import people for. We need Doctors. I think there is a plan to turn Canada into the new India. Within 4 blocks of where I live there is now almost 30 Indian restaurants..... Might be a dozen other types. It's one thing to come here, respect the way of life and another to force your way of life on us. I love Indian culture and Indian people. But we have a culture here and i'd like to keep it alive. So many dramatic changes have happened just in the past 5 years. I welcome adding something. But not completely replacing what we have.

Canadians needs to be great again stop the immigration once one family moves into a small town they take over buying fake visas hiding in canada. All restaurant changes have taken hours off of workers to hire 9 new immigrants each place. They force you out of your homes so their family members can move in. Trust me i have seen this first hand.

Paying for healthcare in Canada is like paying in advance in an expensive restaurant with no waiter and empty fridges. It’s literally a fraud.

They love america.. they get good jobs easy over here.. most of them get better paying jobs than us citizens and they have no social security number.. They stick together over here, their people get them brand new cars, jobs and apartments.. When i lived in Charlotte many of the women from central america had an apartment, car and job within a week of being here.. Many of the women come here pregnant or immediately get pregnant. They can get free medical and food cards for their children when their born on us soil.. Construction companies, cleaning services, restaurants, salons and hotels will hire them before they hire people who already live here because of their good work ethic reputation.. High rent doesnt bother them because alot of migrant live in groups of 5 to 10 people.. That usually means at least 2 to 3 men working in the same home.. Thats 2 to 3 incomes so 1600 to 2500 rent is nothin to them..Not to mention their wives work half the time so thats another income..

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

I’m a lifelong Bramptonian, and yes also Indian….?\n\nBUT I disagree with all this BS, all this mass immigration, specifically from one region of India is overboard. Brampton is basically Punjab let’s face it. \n\nMy kids couldn’t get jobs as teenagers at all these restaurants etc because all the international students took over and the managements keeps hiring the international students, they don’t want English speaking Canadians?! WTF.\n\nComplete idiocracy. \nThey are arrogant, they think they can do whatever they want, behave perverse they want, they want to screw the system as much as possible, and they want to dig their heels into Canada without any warranted reasons.

International students works in tim Hortons 15$ per hour pay 50000 or 50k to come here come to Canada in study permit work in Wherehouse works as Uber delivery boy bring food from restaurant to your home in minus -20 c 2 am in night so that you will enjoy your meal now all problem because of international students

The first differences I noticed when going to the U.S.:\n1. Everything costs less + bigger selections in stores.\n2. Better deals in restaurants: bigger servings, more cheese on pizzas, free drink refills.\n3. American cops and security guards are more suspicious of people.

i lived there as economic immigrant in Toronto for 4 years back in 2009 to 2013, i loved the city it was vibrant, beautiful, multicultural, people were nice polite, rent was ok , house prices were affordable, i loved every inch of this city, yonge and bloor, Dundas, Chester greektown, high park, north york , Yorkville with the fancy restaurants bars and houses, spadina mansions, harbourfront, were all my favorite places, i have so many beautiful memories in this city, i studied and worked there, but unfortunately i came back in 2015 then 2018 for few days, it was changing gradually to the worse more homeless, more crimes, more mentally sick people, very expensive housing rent food, am so sad fo rthis wonderful city

Well she is wrong, the migrants have taken the jobs of young Canadians. My City is full of i l l e g a l s and they have all the jobs in grocery stores, fast food restaurants, delivery services, Uber, etc. They have housing while more and more tent cities pop up with Canadians.

Canadian education system is trap for international students and its good for nothing. Did you check how good and refine US education system is? \n\nBest bet: deport them and refund their fees. Coz those 1st floor colleges diplomas are good for nothing. And yet all the homes are filled and the restaurants are full all weekend. Go figure.

I talked with my Indian friend who is working at Tim’s now. I said,” I'm not an Indian international student, do I have the chance to work in your branch”? He said no! I understand that they want to help their people overseas, but it also breaks the diversity as well. You go to Walmart, Tims most of them are Indians. I told him even though the Chinese supermarket and the restaurant hired Indians, I had never seen any Indians hire Chinese in here. I don't want to say this is discrimination, It is just about order and fairness.

I think its also YOUR job to stand up to them.report them every single time you see them wrongdoing,protect vulnerable people yourself,help each other economicaly in markets,restaurants etc.There are soluțions If You try

All the restaurants in my neighborhood are being turned into Indian restaurants. There are 25 of them within 4 blocks of my place. Almost all the rentals in town are only for Indian students. Bit by bit they are replacing what was there. I've gotten to know a few and I think the world of them. But for the love of all that is good. Stop changing everything!!!

Please give me an explanation, as to why most of the students are from these the state of Punjab. The turban brigade is here just for permanent resident status. We do not need anymore Punjabi restaurants here in Canada.

Indians work hard and they educate themselves. Look who’s taking over the restaurant industry in Ontario. Look at the number of doctors, IT professionals, engineers and other professions. Indians, especially Sikhs, are heavily involved in farming. We Canadians, and I’m a third generation Canadian, have become content and lazy. Most of us won’t put in the hard hours on a farm or restaurant or the hard hours and dedication to become doctors. Like it or not we need immigrants. And when Poilievre wins the next federal election you can be sure he understands what immigrants bring and how vital they are to our aging country.

Can a Canadian workers buy a house on minium wage working at Tim Hortons , Walmart & other service jobs ? We have a restaurant here that only has take out because they can't get any help for eat in,yes this is another victim of covid shut downs

Once I saw a white man taking out some food from the garbage can outside an Indian restaurant in Brampton . I was so shocked to see that. I gave $20 to my son to give it to that man so that he can eat something.

Indians are future of ??. \nHow many Canadians anyone can name working as top leaders in top companies of this world. Just try to Google who are CEOs of below top companies like Google, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Diageo, Arista Network, CHANEL, NetApp, Nokia, PEPSI Co, Onlyfans, Twitter etc etc. list is like never ending. We got Freedom from Britishers in 1947 and it’s not even a century and see how far we have come clearly shows the capabilities, potential & farsightedness of us Indians. We both are culturally sound and capable enough to adopt & grow in any environment of any country. Now see in next 25 years Asians will take Canada to where Canadian themselves have never been able to take it to. Today we are getting Engineers Doctors to Aeronautical Specialists to Labour in Warehouses, Manufacturing plants & Crop fields to Professors, Politicians to scientists, bankers, investment planners to Food retailers, Restaurants workers, City workers to Skilled workers. We are everywhere trying our best to shape the beautiful future of ours as well as of this country now. So better stop spreading hate towards us. You will regret later.

I'm sorry hut southern ontario is now little Asia ... and it's game over for white people... we are outnumbered 5 to 1 ... all the restaurants are now Indian/Mediterranean, you can walk for 10 minutes and pass 50 people and not hear a word of English... it's completely absurd... The huge problem is Canada is the lack of competition. You can open a shitty restaurant chain like cactus club in vancouver, or a shitty coffee chain like blenz and still be a multi million dollar corparation. Yet you pay insane prices to go to these places. For instance in major cities like Istanbul, London, new york etc yes, you pay crazy prices but you are also eating at the best of the best in the world. The level of mediocrity is insane in Canada that charge insane prices.

To be fair, in the first few seconds...I've seen communities in various countries that look Canadian/American or European, and that's not where the country was.\n\nYou can find pockets of people gathering together, hear a lot of English, find a lot of restaurants and products in stores that those people know and are comfortable with.\n\nIt's not just pockets in Canada or Britain...it goes both ways. Historically and now.

In all fairness India is #1 the most racist country in the world, the least trusted country in the world and the only race that will use white names culturally appropriate and hold businesses that hire only Indians, and scam English countries. See the Uber driver that was murdered by an old man being scam. That was Indian scammers. They never face consequences for their behaviour. You have only one tactic that works. Boycott their businesses. Avoid their companies, their stores, restaurants, hotels, doctors, wherever.

Is this Canada or the New India. I was completely shocked when I came to Toronto Canada last Nov. 2023 from United States. I did not encounter any other nationality other than Indians from Asia. Restaurant, malls, markets, hotels, even all tourist destinations etc. IRCC is not doing a good job in picking immigrants into Canada.

My friend lives in White Rock BC......On a recent visit I felt like I was in my old town of Fremint, California.....The majority of people weren't born in North America but from the same area of the globe. We went to eat @ his favorite restaurant and it had changed to Indian cusine. I don't know about Canada but, in the USA they game the government assistance systems and use the funds to import more of their relatives. I don't understand why the USA allows a foreigner even after they become a citizen to bring in their elderly parents and collect Social Security funds when they NEVER worked a day of their lives in the USA or contributed to the system. Its EVIL & CORRUPT!

If this was in India , the restaurant owner would be in full support of the delivery boy.. He will giveaway that order for free but will not let the bully that delivery boy

The customer needs to get banned from ordering food at that particular restaurant.

The delivery guy really lost his sense. As soon as the customer started misbehaving the delivery person should have said, 'Ok, Sir enjoy your free food.' And he should have left the premises immediately and complained about his safety issue with the restaurant.

One cardinal rule I've learned from many jobs in fast food and restaurants is that YOU DONT FUCK WITH PEOPLE THAT HANDLE YOUR FOOD!! remember that folks, trust me!!!

Most good managers at any restaurant delivery that I have worked will blacklist a customer like this. There is absolutely no call to treat anyone this way at all. Narcissist creep...

I can't recognize my city anymore. Tim Hortons is now owned by East Indians therefore only hires them. All neighborhoods corner stores, restaurants, grocery stores etc. I feel a minority in my city

Ok.. I haven’t any issues with the Indian people. I would however like to see certain things adopted for everyone’s sake. For example; fast food has been popular since the 60’s & 70’s it hit popular because menu items were tested and the way a burger is assembled right down to the condiments was worked out by the franchisers and food experts in the North Americans tastes and preferences. To be uncomfortably honest. I have not had a burger from a fast food restaurant that I truly enjoyed for a few years now. And I suspect that franchisees from India and the preferred employees also Indian do not grow up eating North American cuisine and do not fundamentally understand how foul too much condiments can make an item. And there is seemingly Zero effort to learn how to correctly assemble the products. Quite frankly I would be surprised if the employees that do the work would eat the food they make due to the culinary culture. And if they do.. I doubt it prepared in the same manner as for average customers. I just don’t think mayonnaise, ketchup & mustard are used in India on food. How would we expect them to understand the mistake at all.

Feel bad for him but who told him to go and work in west . Not sure why people are spending 50-70 lakh if they are not sure about their future and still want to work as delivery boy . I mean they can build their own restaurant and hire delivery boy in just 30-40 lakh if he is from india.All the best

In January I flew into Toronto for my connecting flight to London but missed it. I was put up in a hotel in Brampton. First time there in 25 years. I didn’t feel like I was in Canada. I felt like a foreigner in my own country. during my 15 hours there I saw only one other non-Indian in the hotel. The restaurants, limousines to and from the airport, the drugstore and on the street - only Indians. Not one of them I spoke to had English mother tongue. One of the limo drivers came to Canada for education and told me once he got here he couldn’t get the program he signed up for and he was now in another program and as soon as he finishes this year he is leaving. He lived in Brampton and he told me he doesn’t feel safe there or in Toronto due to the crime. Interestingly he said a lot of the crime in the Indian community never gets reported to the police.

I met my daughter last week for lunch at what was once our favourite Italian restaurant here in Newmarket. The food was not as good as it once was. Then, I noticed the music playing in the background was a little off for an Italian restaurant. Had a chance to see in the kitchen all east-Indians. I asked the young girl serving us about a change in ownership. Sure enough new owners. The loss of a great restaurant has been there for years.
