WHERE are municipal politicians supposedly limiting the construction of homes? I don’t see it. \n\nWe are aware that there are regulations in place to protect buyers and that self-serving industries lobby to do away with, as those protective regulations can reduce profits. Some provincial governments (like Alberta) are highly sympathetic to lobbies and industries, to the detriment of citizens. \nWhy are you not pointing to the fact that successive federal governments of the past stopped funding the construction of lower cost housing (thereby creating more demand AND our number one problem of unmitigated greed throughout the real estate and home building industries? We have some people in government attempting to get more low cost homes built while industries know that they can make more money building houses that are far, far bigger than people NEED. Dumbasses and keep-up-the-Jones folks unwisely buy these homes and then many of them have difficulty affording a lifestyle that they think they are entitled to. Meanwhile, lower income earners have been priced right out the market. Of course, capitalists and real estate investors like Pierre Poilievre will never admit that these are our actual problems. Regulating the construction and real estate industries could have gotten a lot more homes built in higher density for young and lower income Canadians, as well as for our newcomers. \n\nToo much blind and poorly informed anger, selfishness, and foolishness going around. Canadians of the past who pulled together during world wars would call us weak and entitled.

You are indeed great. I have been written off bc l had 3rd class in my first degree on secretarial Administration. I went in for a post graduate diploma in sociology had an upper credit. I went in for masters in dept of sociology(option- peace and conflict studies) had an upper credit. I want to go in for a PhD but don't know a school that will accept me. Would go in for any other good course outside sociology pls for 2024 academic session.

Im white canadian and there has been no jobs for me and yes no doctor no jobs no rent way to expensive my canada died when all greedy people came and rent went up when 500,000 immigrant come a year of course the system cant handle it but the worst is all refugees who are complaining because they used to have better…. I'm going to say my opinion as an immigrant, I lived in France (for a while) and one of the reasons I saw people leave this country was family, I'm originally from Colombia and here life with family is extremely important, so when you go to build a new life where you have nothing, you have to build from 0, and of course you're on your own, It's not as simple as you might think, most people I know in France can't do that, they just can't leave their country, they love their country, unfortunately for people like me, immigration is the only option we have, i like my country but i don't had option i had to leave, so I think that's a very good point to consider, people fall alone, immigration is not for everyone. \n \nThank you for your video.

Of course foreign students pay full tuition. Canadian citizen are subsidized. Most Canadians don't know how much our taxes go to off set costs.the major problem is in India selling a scam....

Canada, ha you mean India, in the last decade 100s of 1000s of Indians have flooded to Southern Ontario (which by all measures is Canada) to the point that sometimes one feels like they are stranger in a strange land. Of the 2.2 million who arrived last year approx 500,000 are students They are huge profit centre for landlords and colleges and universities. And let's not talk about healthcare!!!\n\nThe other huge issue is healthcare - forget about getting a family doctor these days it's a choice between MAID or going to the US to get life saving healthcare (paid out of pocket of course). Long term not much will change - discussing immigration is still verboten in Canada and while I expect the Conservatives to form the next majority government thier policies mirror those of the Liberals.\n\nBTW it's not a half million per year it's well over a million new comers per year!

Well of course if you go to Vancouver you're going to be scraping by. She needs to move to another part of the country where the prices aren't nearly as crazy.

For sure, things are getting more tough around the world but what really surprises me is that the people who have been living for 10+ years in Canada saying that things changed in Canada. Well, of course, things will change, its changing everywhere including where you immigrated from. I have been in Canada for 5+ years now and finally am a citizen and I can tell you that where I came from is even worse in terms of inflation and affordability. People compare Canada to Dubai (where I came from) and say dumb things about the luxuries available there forgetting they can get these luxuries anywhere if they have the money. Even Dubai now, is much worse than 5-10 years ago, so take a chill pill and know what you really want in life and if the style of Dubai or Bali suits you more, then go ahead, Canada is not holding you hostage :D

I'm not Indian, I'm indigenous from Canada and I grew up in Vancouver, where the population is mostly from Asia. Being surrounded by people of asian descent is very normal for me. I don't expect anyone to assimilate and lose their culture to exist here. I knew we had a large population of Sikhs here but I didn't think it was nearly as many as in India... and now I find out there are more sikhs here than in India. Amazing. I also didn't know we had so many Sikhs in parliament, let alone Indians. My school is mostly Indian and everyone I talk to has come from Punjab. Everyone seems to love it here, and the school is in the middle of little Punjab so I've been told by my classmates it is the perfect place for the students who are homesick because they are surrounded by their community. I rarely hear English when I walk down the halls, there is even a course to learn to speak Punjabi, which I want to take so I can talk to the students who don't speak English as well. We have many large gurdwaras, and one near me I've eaten langar almost everyday for the past 10 years. Most people here know Sikhs to be very generous and humble. It was a shock to me when I heard the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara was shot, because I believed Sikhs to be very kind and peaceful, and the gurdwara has a very good reputation as they take lots of food into Vancouver and feed the homeless. They even opened a kitchen in the DTES during the pandemic to be able to have food available to the people immediately. No one else did anything like that. They delivered a lot of food. Now they have an auxiliary kitchen in the DTES permanently that serves free meals. I thought more news would come out of the shooting but it seemed quiet for a bit until Trudeau accused the Indian government of the attack. This news also shocked me, so I decided to start looking into it slowly. I couldn't really get a good idea of what was going on until I searched a video for Diwali and your videos came up. I will share it with my husband so he can be educated on the matter as well. Thank you for your diligent research and dissemination of important knowledge.

The only difference between Europe and Canada is the Language Barrier, 90% if not 95% of Africans in the Europe are the for the hustle , and they go for menial jobs, these guys have gone to Europe with business or tourists visas and they will not go back after the visa expires and they will try to blend-in in any form,thereby becoming illegal immigrants, what do you expect, you can’t compare that someone in Canada who spends a lot of money to go to school in Canada, Life in general is certainly easier for the rich simple, it doesn’t have to be Europe or Canada. If you spend close to 24000 euros in Germany for 2 years course, oga you will get a decent well paying job and your life will even be easier than those in Canada. All these guys that were telling us here that they have spent 10years or more here,how have you come to Europe, how many years have you studied , these guys came with 1 month visa from maybe Poland and moved to Germany the next day and began to do a whole lot of things, let’s forget it. To me it’s Europe. When the language is the problem, learn it. Traveling outside is not like moving from nsukka to nnewi. You have to be smart .

Supply and demand. Immigrants have to share with us and each other. The more of them there is, the less there is to go around. Housing is less affordable in Canada than it is in any European county besides 3. Basically we are now kinda borderline not a first world nation anymore, and of course any immigrants who came for economic reasons will be looking for greener pastures.

When you pay more than half of your annual salary as taxes, and when you go to the hospital, you wait 24hours for an emergency, of course you leave canada !!

Most employers think immigrants are parasites, only here to steal canadians jobs. They pay taxes and as consumers they contribute to the growth of Canada's economy. If they don't feel welcome, of course they are going to move to a better place for their dreams!!!???

When we haven't had investment in affordable housing since just after World War II, cost of living rising at ridiculous rates over the past five decades, and a massive gap in recognizing foreign qualifications then of course immigrants are going to leave. Canada has has brain drain for decades. Anyone with a brain wants to leave Canada for a better country.

Of course refugee organizations are calling for urgent action for refugees, but what about canadians who are facing homelessness? If the refugees cannot afford to live in TO, then they should go to a place where they can afford to live. I grow weary of the refugee grifters who want the taxpayers to cover their asses. I lived in Brampton for six years, if you really want to eat a great non-veg then only try going to a Pakistani Restaurant (restraun)....... you must know one thing for sure that any non-veg (Goshtt) bought by any Indian Restaurant is always always Grade-3, the lowest grade and of course the Cheapest.\nIn Pakistani Restaurants in North America (I'm saying anywhere in North America) the Goshtt is always Grade-1 (the best)..... not many people know this...... I'm only educating you......same goes with South Asian restaurants in the UK, Australia, NZ, South Africa et al.

According to Forbes it is about 14k for natural delivery, 18k for a c-section and it should cost 2-3K for co-pay. We must realize that this is of course the quote for complication free births. \n\nI had premature twins in Canada and the cost would have been over 1 million in the USA. My sons had an American nurse who chose to immigrate to Canada because the billing aspect of her job was stressful. According to this nurse she had to bill the family for every pacifier that hit the ground etc… Scanning every bar of soap etc… \nThe problem with Canadian healthcare is people treat it like it is free so there is a lot of waste. Nurses don’t scan so they give stuff etc… Also people go to the ER for flu’s which is very costly on the system. If Canadians were more conscious the system would be better!

Canada is not perfect by any means. Lots of room to improve things, and I absolutely love and appreciate Americans. Great folks. But, the fact that any person, rich or poor, no matter who it is, can go to the doctor as many times as they need to without getting a big bill. We do pay for little things. Like... sometimes you pay for crutches or special devices, but for the most part, you don't. It comes out of our taxes.\n\nPlus, couples get a year of maternity leave here. It can be split any way the couple likes. LIke... the mom or dad can have the whole year or they can split it up between them, part mom and part dad gets it. We have unemployment insurance we pay from our taxes, so if you get suddenly laid of from work, ,you get some money coming in for a while to tide you over until you find a new job. And the disabled can get disability coverage too.\n\nOf course, we do pay higher taxes for these things, but... I kinda like that everybody gets healthcare. NO, I'm not into Communism, but having social programs is great. And... um... we do have more education in Canada, and more avenues to get help with tuition.

I’m proud of my country. Not all of it but most of it. Im not going to divulge all of my opinions of course, but I would say we have a very big disconnect across the country believe it or not and I don’t think most people who live here even know that. I’ve always wanted to visit Maine though.

I am very proud Canadian. I have never been able to visit the United States. I can never see myself moving to United States for many reasons. One reason. Your political system is a disaster currently. Plus for some reason. One of United States political parties are refusing to do something about daily mass shooting. Then you adding health care system that clearly favor the rich and middle class and poor will get second rate health care and paying out pocket. \nMaybe I go visit(with bulletproof vest of course) the United States. We have pondered moving to the US but it always scares me thinking of all the service safety nets behind. I don't know how many Americans know this, but basically at birth you are assigned a health card which you keep for the rest of your life. Anytime you go to the doctor they ask for that and it has all your info on it (family doctors, your address, etc) and that's all you do. See the doctor and then leave. Private/work health insurance is more for prescription, dentists,massage, therapy, physio, eye, ambulance rides,etc. \nBut childbirth, ER visits, doctors visits all covered by that card...which is funded by our are taxes. We are taxed to hell and back on the daily but it's just so normal you don't think differently of it. We do have a shortage of Dr's though. An ER wait can be upwards of 2-4 hours and your family doctor can take weeks to get an appointment with so you usually have to go to a hospital or walk in if it's urgent.\nAlso, guns. Guns guns everwhere ? I saw a sign when I was walking into Walmart in Florida saying to not bring guns inside and I just couldn't believe that was a thing that had to be said. In Canada, guns are for hunting and going to the range and that's the only time they're allowed out of their safe. Obviously you have people who have stolen and smuggled guns and that's how you get gun crimes (you need a special card to buy guns and ammo, that you get after passing a gun safety course and *most* gun crimes are not committed by people who hold those cards). I appreciate the fact that you don't have so many restrictions on the types of guns you can get but man, I never felt so rattled just walking around after seeing that sign

oh come on : availability and of course and quality of care and renown medical doctors are available as well in canada . OMG ,,,,,,,,... go to a medical clinic on the corner in nearly in every neighbourhood or go to ones own doctor, or if one is indeed dire they would go to the emergency room where *triage* is done. (depending on severity and you may have to wait) and yes smaller towns have less waiting time then do larger cities that have over a million populations one would expect or experience a seemily longer wait time at a hospital emergency then the many many many smaller towns and cities in canada also. duh

Growth school is a scam. I attended two courses offered by them. Generative AI and Gen AI for tech professionals. None of these are going to get you jobs. The 2nd course did not even start properly 2 months after the official launch date. Please stay away from Growth School.

Do people know that even when you are employed there are some professional documents that expire and you have to retake some courses after 2 years, some 1 year, 3 years etc. A series of them, and that is money. Your employer needs to see that your car insurance isnt expired, driving licence also. & you are super skilled by the way it isn't that you are looking for a job, you are working already. Now, getting a job needs one to go through their system, nearly total ovehaul of the qualifications you had in Kenya. Utajua kumbe you don't know anything. You gotta trust the process though. Lynn the problem is people don’t make their own research. Even if you show this, people are going to still go there Lynn. Just like the girls who go to the the Arabic countries even when they see what happens to the girls who go there. People are desperate and just hope for the best I guess. But all countries are struggling after the pandemic ? and some are also struggling with the people coming in illegally with boats. Europe and the USA are struggling with thousands of people coming in daily, which means the governments have to support all these people before their cases are being worked on. So they are working hard to send people back that are not coming from a country with war. Also means the jobs that don’t demand high education are on very competitive. Canada and some of the developed countries only want highly educated people with skills. Who can start working right away and contribute to the society of course through paying taxes and taking care of their families. But the struggle is real.

Canada is a natural resource economy but yet we keep cutting deals with Americans to give them cheaper minerals and resources when we should be increasing the price of minerals in resources because we fund most of the American infrastructure with her oil lumber in minerals but of course the Canadian government cuts deals and gives them below market rates when we should be giving them above market rates because where else are they going to go for imports that cost less for transportation because they’re not going to start importing more from the UK or any other countries overseas, and they definitely won’t be importing more from Mexico because America has a problem with Mexico apparently

When I was young I used to fantasise about going to Toronto Canada as I have some cousins who lived there. Today this makes me quite sad but it is a similar situation here in Sydney Australia but a few years behind you guys but affordable housing is a big issue and a small but growing homeless issue Rising. We don't have the extreme random violence like in Canada but stuff like that does happen in all major industrialised cities around the world. Growing population without good healthcare and infrastructure is a major issue in a lot of big cities around the world.\nWe have a government that wants to increase the population and at the same time acknowledge the fact that we don't have the infrastructure to cope for that and also squeezing that big population in a smaller and smaller space of course causing greater mental issues as a result

But, we never had so many stabbing, gang rapings with 8 or more men raping underage girls and other woman, abuse of KO-Drops young man attacking police and ambulances, drugdealers near schools etc. before 2015... That canadians that are so happy abt refugees can maybe come to Europe and take some more to Canada. In the last 3 days 10.000 young african men arrived in Italy by boat, and non of the people here wants them really plus hundred thousands of arabs and afghans and millions from the ukraine. The main problem in Canada is you keep toiling year after year but you cannot really see you achieve a life where you are secure that you have made it. Cold weather, there are many cold countries like Scandinavian countries etc. but even migrants stay put because one's life improved. Canada just wanted to extract money from foreigners like international students, migrants without or even PRs but the promised benefits are in fact also gotten from them due to the many stiff taxes, & not really from the gov't. My nephews & niece supposedly given education but those are loans that must be paid after graduation. But the problem is there are no jobs even if they graduated with flying colors and nice courses. It was said work is easier if already citizens and studied there but no use. If there are jobs, so many asked like work history, credit background how can they have it when they just graduated so accepted jobs for undergraduates like mopping floors, fastfood crew & entailed years, so how can the payback be with just minimal earnings? Canada just make slaves of migrants with nothing done in their lives but work, work, work no spare time to rest then taxes, taxes, taxes. No savings even if very thrifty. Everything has tax - Exorbitant income taxes, home tax, rent tax, car tax, insurance tax, bank account tax, electricity tax, internet tax, cellphone tax, and many more. Slaves because you only live to sustain the government BUT YOU CANNOT RECEIVE THE PROMPT AND COMPLETE SERVICES promoted. So people got depressed and unhappy especially with the gloomy cold weather. It's not like jobs in other countries or even in one's home country where even if you toiled hard and made sacrifices, you moved forward by assets acquired like lots, houses, big bank account balances but no, in Canada you can't, it must all go to the Govt. It's like Communism.

In Nigeria, You can be a graduate of a medical field with BSC or higher or Even a bachelor's of Law and still be jobless for several years unless you are self employed or have a strong connection, a friend of mine has a undergraduate degree in medicine but works as a shoe maker seeing there is no Job available and she skilled in shoe Making trade. The unemployment rate here has been increasing rapidly and on top of that the cost of living dosen't make up for that, even cost of living going high where no one understands and of course you have the bad governance to blame for that. Education system is here is also terrible, why would one be spending 8 years for a 5 year course due to Asuu strike, all these little things can be overlooked by the government but they are part of what dampens the growth of the economy NGL.\n\nNot saying Canada dosen't have it own downfalls, it does like the housing crisis and all but IMO I see they still strive better, one of which would include bringing in foreign workers of skilled Trade to help improve the economy, they go as far as sponsoring visa application and the employers go as far as getting LMIA for foreign workers and the health care system appears to be more stable based on what I have experienced. The educational system is also okay, my sis got funding worth $15k for her tuition whereas her tuition is $20k, they already paid up to 75% of it for her Thesis, mind you I said funding not scholarship, they are totally different. \n\nNot tryna criticize either country before some trolls attack me in my comment section but am only stating my experience and what has been happening in both sides of the fence, it as easy as that.

This is the price we pay when we claim to be the world police when we claim. We are the greatest nation in the world when we claim that we have more prosperity than anyone.\nOf course people are going to break barriers. Not entirely accurate. It's pro-wealthy immigration here in Canada absolutely. It's citizenship for sale. Not necessarily wealthy in terms of really wealthy (like Switzerland) but it's definitely citizenship for sale, so if you don't have money, don't bother. Newcomers with medical and engineering expertise can't get jobs here in Canada, in spite of our healthcare system being on the point of collapse and our supposed hi-tech push. Regulatory boards here have made it impossible. Estimates are around 175000 qualified, internationally trained doctors and nurses who gave up trying to practice here and moved into other careers. Ukrainian doctors, for eg, with extensive trauma experience and willing to staff our emergency departments have been told they have to requalify by going to Canadian medical school to retrain for at least 4 years. Same story in engineering. By IT, our government seems to mean low-paid call center IT work, moving the IT sweatshop racket from India onto Canadian soil. If you can afford to buy a business - I believe the total business investment was 500 000 pre-pandemic - that's another way in. Not sure if thats gone up now. So many of our franchise businesses are essentially being used as citizenship tickets. The big ticket item: If you can afford 4 years of postgraduate or undergrad university program, or 3 to 4 year college program - and if you don't have the cash, loan sharks in India will distribute debt across the whole family for decades so one student can go . There us a very good documentary by an Indian filmmaker on the Canadian college/University recruitment drive in India and its consequences. Several of our colleges have student enrollments at over 70% of the entire student body, direct entry from India. Additional problems like grade inflation, different education standards, and outright fraud on ESL testing also mean that Indian students are not well prepared for school here. Many do not have enough English to succeed in their studies. They either need to spend for additional tutoring, take a qualifying year or two ESL (on top of the 3 or 4 program), or fail courses. Universities and colleges keep the tuition though. Honestly our colleges and universities are staying afloat because of Indian students. They're being treated like cash cows - and Indian recruiters are scamming the system, taking fees on their end with unsuspecting students getting falsified documents, or being told they passed their ESL when they didn't. It's a national disgrace. I'm a prof here, I've seen all of this firsthand. Your data may be correct, but the narrative you've constructed for it is not the real picture.

Hi Tyler, born and raised Cdn here. I have American relatives and ancestors. I spent a lot of time going to the States to visit them when I was young and US felt like our big brother back then. Nice, clean, safe, fun and just big. Heck, when I was 15 I even took the Greyhound bus from Toronto to San Francisco. I've been back a few times but last was in 2015. Lkg to come back maybe this Christmas. I know media is biased but to give you some explanation, we don't have guns up here to the extent you guys do. Of course we have crime and sick things do happen up here but, we don't have to fear that every single person we come in to contact w is packin a gun. And the news intensifies our fear of that one aspect of your country's culture. And yes, the amount of mass shootings at schools terrifies us. I am sad to also see the political extremism in the US now. I miss the US of my childhood and certainly do agree, small town rural people are salt of the earth there. I even found New Yorkers nicer than Torontonians.

This Canadian lived in Orange County CA for 10 years. I took my the 12 year old with me. I had been offered my dream job and was paid enough to have a good standard of living. However, I lived in an immigrant community to save money as I found many of the high schools were horrid compared to Canada. I had not realized the school to school inequality to be so extreme and my kid changed to independent study at home. So with a Canadian elememtary education, they graduated high school a year only while skipping no courses..\n\nMy kid had medical issues and even with good HMO insurance, we could never get a decent diagnosis until it had gotten so bad that their digestive system was so wrecked. I finally sent them back to Canada for the surgery that we could not get in the USA. It seemed the insurance companies kept getting in the way. And in one case a doctor went all religious on us. After 6 years of almost continuous pain they finally got relief for a decade until the prior damage came back to haunt them However, after a year of university ib Canada my kid went to a private university in the eastern USA. They have decided to remain in the USA and now in their mid 30s, they make really good money anf have top line medical insurance which pays for the ongoing care they need because of the damage caused by delays when a teenager. \n\nI found life in the suburbs of Orange County nice but the OC is not a good place to meet people. When after 10 years there, in 2010 I returned to Vancouver to care for my elderly mother. I had been living alone for 6 years by then and was offered the first job in Vancouver anything close to me dream job there. and I returned to Canada at age 59. I had been approved for a green card in 2008 but there was a 6 year wait for it to come through. But I noticed the racism in the USA start breaking out all over the place when Obama got elected. And it has gotten worse and worse every year. Especially with 45 enabling it so much. \n\nMy circle of friends in Southern California are mainly good people and not at all like what we call MAGA-hats now. Except one who thinks 45 was the greatest. Politically, the USA is on the path that Germany was on in 1933 and I fear for the US Democracy if the Orange One gets in again. Even my kid and their spouse have bug out plans to head to Canada just in case. This is why my kid, while having a green card has never taken US citizenship. Would not ever move there. Don’t even know when I would visit there again. I spent a lot of time in the States as a child, mostly in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It was fun on the beach, going to Disneyland and it was nice staying with relatives and swimming in their pool everyday in the summer. However, I am Canadian and my heart belongs to Canada.
