What does it say about the current situation in the country that a large portion of Americans citizens are rooting for Canada ?? and Mexico ??.

Why can’t we have responsible leaders like this? My apologies Canadians, I didn’t vote for the current US leadership.

You say intelligent words right from the start and you deliver a strong message in a very strong manner, beginning with this: the US is declaring economic war on Canada, as well as strong arguments, and that fentanyl is just a pretext, which we all already know, that getting closer to Russia and cutting ties with its allies is Donald Trump's current course of action, and the fair question to ask is why is this man putting himself at the service of the Kremlin which is totally unnatural for an American.?

The American people don't want it either, the current admin is not OUR gov't. I can not criticize your reactions. As a matter of fact, I find them completely reasonable.

Canada (and many other countries) spent decades supporting the maintenance of US hegemony. Look what it got us? To a position where we're pretty much greatly dependent on, and at the mercy of the US. We need to invest more in our own country and make our own products. We should also trade with other countries regardless of what the US thinks of those countries. Trump wants Canada to put tariffs on China in the attempt to further impede that country's economic growth so the US will remain the economic hegemony. Never mind that a trade war with China would put Canada in an even worse position. Given the current events, I say we trade with China even more!

The Republicans have betrayed more than our old friends and allies with this astonishing attack on Canada, coming on the heels of Trump's performative assault on Ukrainian sovereignty. They've betrayed our constitutional republic, common sense, simple human decency, our core institutions, our people. The best of what we have ever been or hoped to be as a nation has been jettisoned to privilege the worst, including the South African billionaire who is currently dismantling Social Security, and the Russian tyrant who has hungered for years to kill NATO and the Western alliance, an outcome the Republicans are now handing him on a silver platter.

A neurologist should thoroughly examine Trump's brain, as I strongly suspect the presence of significant anomalies. It is conceivable that some of these could be addressed through medical intervention. However, in his current state, his cognitive and behavioral responses appear untenable. It would be prudent to declare him temporarily unfit for decision-making until his condition improves.
