After a couple of years Trump and co will say, that Canada started a trade war against US. Just like they say, that Ukraine and Zelenskyy started the war with Russia. It is very simple, just like Donald Trump is, he puts the tarifs on products, so live for people get even more expensive, then after a while he will change his mind and the tarifs wil disapear and products gets cheaper again. THEN he will proudly say that he took care of the high prices. What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

The crazy MAGA cult followers at my job will say it's my company that's rising prices and it'll be their fault. This is how delusional my co workers are ? nooooooo it's trumps fault!!!! But they worship him. He can do anything and get away with it it's crazy to me. And we Americans have it good!!! I have no idea what these whites guys with big trucks and money in the bank are crying about!!! I make 19 an hour and have it good. How do these people not have it good who makes more than me?? They Blame Canada, Ukraine and the migrants for hardship?? What hardship?,!!!! And if they do have it rough it's their fault!!! Our people of America voting this damn guy into office, I don't get what was the appeal to have this type of leader for our nation. We are just in a sh^^ty place at this moment. Agree with Trudeau here, and as a Canadian conservative, that’s not something I say easily. But let’s get real here. Trump is NOT a smart guy. He has cratered most businesses he’s started, he has no understanding of economics whatsoever and he speaks like a five-year old. Conversely, here in Canada and around the world (including many in the US who are voicing heir support here) we have A LOT of smart people and an enormous amount of good will, and we will persevere and overcome. Canada's $63 billion trade imbalance is a bigger issue. your telling trump the last time he was in the white house you would be spending 2% of your GDP on the military by 2024. Now you say you will get to 1.8% by 2027. Open your trade. Like JD Vance said we can keep going up on Tariffs until you balance trade.
