I won't complain about the status quo because I've seen it happening all along. If you think you're vote counts I feel for you. All state driven economies with large state workers employment that keeps growing year by year that go to vote 100% for their paycheck as others do not go to vote because everyone is corrupt etc look exactly like this. At first everything booms and shines, money are flowing for everyone as the governement starts bribing the citizens, but after a while everything goes down and the only ones that keep the wealth is the state sector which, in turns, starts to act like full time lobbyists for the corporations although paid with the general public taxes! Competitivity starts to shrink, everyone dreams at working for the state, public deficit grows year by year, the country borrows more and more money from the markets and submits to lenders and their economic views...you get to work in the private sector more for less, you are told to retire later, public services like school, medicine etc decline the better the paid state workers that do the jobs are...and add to that a general policy toward mass immigration of all nations with no checks regarding abilities or skills that gets citizenship pretty fast to add votes for the same elite that captured the state and everything becomes unbearable!

What province is this guy from? People in Vancouver and BC definitely don't feel this way for the most part. After Harper gutted the fisheries and basically everything, it's been nice that JT got us back to normal. Also, he legalized weed, which has much far reaching net positives than all the young haters would prefer. Moreover, the other parties have shit leadership so nobody, especially the wealthy, will vote for anyone but JT.

The weird thing is, Canadians keep voting for the same politicians who continue to wreck the country.

First time I voted him, and then I noticed something really off after he won. At the time Toronto became a city with lots of ignorance, brain-washing people who believed he did great. When I tried to express my concern, I got blackmailed and warned and even attracted by certain group of people on the street. Nobody came to help. I was so depressed and left. \n\nI didn't even vote second and third time because I don't see any common sense from all candidates. They all brand themselves great and have been using the same way. \n\nKarma is getting to these ignorance and brain-washed people with higher prices of everything and poorer living condition. They need to stop blaming the outcome.

Ultimately if you don't like the conditions where you live, we all have 2 feet that we can use to walk away and leave an expensive city (or country). There are far, far cheaper places to live in North America (see nearly any Latin American country and most South American countries). You vote with your feet: literally just leave and move to a cheaper cost of living area. It's baffling how expensive homes in Vancouver are, yet they cost 20% as much if you move to a rural place in Manitoba or Saskatchewan. \n\nYou actually don't have to continue pay high prices; only if you choose to not act and stay in your current expensive city.

This is what voting Liberal and having Troudouche as a PM gets you. How Canada has allowed that man to stay in power is mind boggling.

being a politician is easy. Just say, change, hope and great. Get in power and carry out the will of the elites and leaders of industry, because if you do something crazy like fight for the average person (peasants) you'll piss off the elites. They'll offshore their companies, you'll lose taxes and get voted out. so its better to appease the elites, you might get voted out. but you'll be richer and have other opportunities outside politics.
