Canada will be an Indian country soon. For me, I'm out. I'm going back to Asia.

That´s 100% accurate. I myself am being slowly priced out of Canada. I have left, temporarily, due to very low living costs AND availability of health care in my homeland. I still want to go back to Canada, but high rent prices and a over 2 year waiting line for my medical treatment is preventing that... Even though I have to pay WAAAY more for my treatment in South America. Really tough.

Canada is to expensive. Best to go where your effort is better rewarded by having more at the end of the day.

So we don't have the financial resources to support them, we have no housing for them and likely won't for the next 100 years based on our current building rate and we don't have jobs that pay enough to afford the exorbitant rents. So it's better for everyone if they go somewhere else where they can live peacefully. We have made Canada an immigration unfriendly country and conservative governments continue to make sure that that stance is maintained by not building affordable housing or investing in supports for citizens and only giving money to close political corporate allies. Most Canadians don't want immigrants here at all if they don't have jobs and can't afford to live without burdening the social system.

So there are calling for people to go live in Canada and when they reach they realize it’s not a bed of rose and things are harder for immigrants so they had to leave again. Wow! And I herd and saw there are a lot of racism.

It's a telling sign when some Ukrainian refugees would rather go back home to a war zone, than stay in Canada, or you see in the news, Canadian Palestians living in Gaza, they rather go back to their home country than stay here.

When we haven't had investment in affordable housing since just after World War II, cost of living rising at ridiculous rates over the past five decades, and a massive gap in recognizing foreign qualifications then of course immigrants are going to leave. Canada has has brain drain for decades. Anyone with a brain wants to leave Canada for a better country.

I had exactly the same experiences in 2002 when I went(and came back) on PR to Canada. Getting into a proper paying job in your own profession is the most herculean task in itself. The necessity of a car due to extreme harsh weather most of the months and then initially affording only a basement with mostly indoor activities during non-summer months takes a huge toll on one’s mental well being. Most of the jobs are regulated in Canada so getting an equivalent clearance and compatibility for a job is no easy task at all otherwise you’ll end up doing only sundry manual help jobs around which too aren’t available easily. I found a lot of positivities and possibilities too in Canadian life but then be prepared to sacrifice a lot for many years and then maybe you realise you have a lot more to loose than gain! So as this blogger said Go to Canada first on say a tourist visa to friends or family, stay and spend some time and money too and then make a long term decision to come and stay forever or not. But in the meantime don’t quit your job or business back in India till you come to a final outcome?

I don't get why so many indians think foreign countries can change their lives. You are an average student soo instead of hustling in India by doing fresher jobs, you go to Canada for expensive education from dubious colleges in hopes of getting a job ?\nI say that if you are talented you can make big in foreign countries but if you know you are an average Joe then you are just wasting money and time in Canada. It would be less torturous for you to just hustle in entry level sales job in India than going to Canada.

I had migrated to Nz 3 months back and i gotta say its the exact opposite of whatever Canada has to offer . There is work life balance here, not much of pressure , the people are easy going and its turning out to be the best decision of my life .All the best to my brothers and sisters trying to make it big..

Toronto is very overrated in a lot of ways. A lot of people especially immigrants are stuck here because they don't have a better option. Vancouver: more expensive; Montreal: French; Calgary: Colder; Smaller cities or towns: less jobs and hard to find your communities. The Canadian government keeps flooding numerous people into Canada to keep their real estate Ponzi scheme going without giving a damn about how people can live in this expensive country.

Filming in Public is a Crime especially when you film the police and show their tyrannical behavior. They will come for you and hunt you down and charge you and make up all kinds of lies try to financially destroy you throw you in jail. Lets be honest. Indians do not go to Canada for better education.. They only go there for more salary

there is really no need for the average apartment to be so expensive except for greed ( profit) and or cost of operation which is a failure of government. Also in the constant influx of immigrants is at a rate that the city cannot cope with and that falls directly on government. This adds to the crime rate as well as homelessness. All of these failures result in bigger government that in hand requires more revenue and the merry-go-round continues. Like it or not Canada must reduce immigration significantly for a period to regain control. Our immigration level should not exceed 250,000 per year for the next 5 years or so.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.

The wait times are too long in Canada. It can be several hours to the next day. My dad went to emergency when his stomach was hurting and he couldn't even get seen and he chose to go home and just rest. I had an at the time undiagnosed eye disease and had eye pain with my left eye closed up and wasn't able to get seen by anyone for quite awhile either. As I knew that over time my eye would eventually open up, I checked out of the E.R. and went home. That was during New Year's as well. It wasn't a great way to welcome 2016.

Conservatives are ruining Canada. All the provinces run by conservative premiers are going down the toilet and they're attacking the rights of LGBTQIA2S people, kids, youth, women, they're trying to force religion into policies and laws, they're violating the Canadian Charter, they're doing everything to distract from real issues that need attention. My husband is from China, Im from Hong Kong. We both came around 2000, at the time houses were cheap and affordable. We met and married after we became Canadian in 2004 and the same year we bought our first house 4 bedrooms 3000sqft near Fairview Mall. Our first daughter has now just graduated and we plan to fund her on her down payment because we know it's not affordable on her own. The price has gone up not double, not triple or quadruple, but 5 times what it used too and not even near centre of the city. Canada housing is now so bad my husband regrets giving up his Chinese citizenship at one point luckily Hong Kong allows multiple citizenship and we can still go back and settle when things get worse. Sucks for my kids who have never had much experience outside of Canada so they will need to learn and cope for better or for worse.

I respect ur decision. Truth is not everyone can adjust, struggle, survive n sustain outside India. Canada is one of the top UN rated countries. Another problem is that huge numbers of Eastern Europeans especially Russians and Ukrainians are in Canada a large number of them illegally. Someone from rural Canada was telling me that Canadian farm areas are full of these Ukrainians Romanians Bulgarians Slovaks etc that have entered illegally and are staying on farms out of sight and working under the table. Also large number of people from UK came over as tourists didn’t go back and are hiding in Canada illegally. Some of these British tourists are now homeless on the streets adding to social problems in Canada.

You wanted to come to the west to come to the west. How well did you plan your journey. I do not feel sorry for you. You made the choice to cone to this side of the world. You should have left your family in Nigeria if you are there to study. All the struggles you are talking about many other people are going through the same struggle. The first thing you should have done from Nigeria was learn about Canada, then look foe room and board that was close to your school. Well I had a kid this year in Québec, it was like 250$ for a single room or 20$ for double room or something. \nYeah some hospital would sell our informations to banks and diapers or food manufacturers... still cheaper than 3000$USD\nFor student I'd say if you are citizen of canada, it's like 10 time cheaper to study here than in US as far as I've seen.\nViolence is something really sad. I'd really wish that just guns were restrain for hunting and special forces, like police officer or body gard of gouvernment selected individual accredited to hold a weapon for defence.\nI've heard that in USA police don't all have to go through police academy that teach them how be an officer. Here they have to go to school, be cadets in summer break, have your attitude checked to de-escalat violent situation if possible.\nWhen I was a in high school violence was in drop in school, so much that they withdraw the officer that was station to that school to just do some one time per year presentation of what to do for security, to absolutely nothing.

I lived in the US for 30 years. I hated every year, except for having my sons there. My American husband is a staunch NRA supporter. At the 30 year mark, when I gave him an ultimatum. I gave him 30 years down there, and the time had come where he needed to do 30 years in Canada. We've been in Canada for 6 years, and he doesn't ever want to go back.\nI feel for the new mothers, who only get 6 weeks maternity leave (8 weeks for C-Section).\nCanadian Mums get a full year. Nurturing your new baby is necessary for a well-balanced child. You can't bond in 6 weeks. \nYour health insurance is nuts. We paid $1500/mo. just for our family. Then you have a $5k deductible first! Just walking into the ER is $500 and THEN add on labs, x-rays, meds, etc. My son was in mental health treatment and our insurance capped mental health at $25k for life. \nThe biggest slap up my head, was when I found out I CAN'T collect my SSI. I paid a lot of taxes, since we made 6 figures/year. So, now I'm screwed, since they won't pay a former Permanent Resident. Had I been a citizen, I could get it. My husband is a PR in Canada, waiting to take his citizenship test. If he applies for SSI, he needs to go down to the States for 30 days and nights, annually. \nI'm from Toronto, born and raised and I am so happy to have my feet back in my own country. My boys are still there, as well as my grandchildren. Thankfully, they fly up twice a year. You couldn't pay me to move back.

Canada was good, but it has gone downhill immencely in the past decade or so. We are now in the top 5 countries on earth for housing cost to income ratio. Many Canadians can't even afford a home or rent here any more. A one bedroom apartment in Toronto where I live can go for 2,400 a month. Millions of immigrants arriving and the economy has largely stagnated despite all these new people. Lots of blindly partisan Liberals here though that will never admit the country is in serious decline. Don't let them lecture you about healthcare and social safety nets either there are literally MILLIONS of people in Ontario our largest province where I live that can't even access a family doctor even if they were willing to pay for one. With the number of people not being able to access basic medical services here I would not call it unviersal any more.

I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

As a person born in Canada in the 50s I have seen the change in Canada over the decade to now where this Liberal gov had torn the hell out of what once was a terrific place to work and live. As a Canadian I am actually going to set up a business that's taking advantage of America's horrible healthcare system. I actually wanted to move to the United States every since I was a teen ager. I went to the Detroit area and they failed me in nursing school. I found white Americans to be quite feral and maintain sadistic tendencies and arrogance as necessary cultural value. Regardless my life in Toronto, Canada has turned into nightmare and I still think America is a better place simply because you have more options and job opportunities. Would I prefer to live in the United States? The answer is YES!!

Canada is not perfect by any means. Lots of room to improve things, and I absolutely love and appreciate Americans. Great folks. But, the fact that any person, rich or poor, no matter who it is, can go to the doctor as many times as they need to without getting a big bill. We do pay for little things. Like... sometimes you pay for crutches or special devices, but for the most part, you don't. It comes out of our taxes.\n\nPlus, couples get a year of maternity leave here. It can be split any way the couple likes. LIke... the mom or dad can have the whole year or they can split it up between them, part mom and part dad gets it. We have unemployment insurance we pay from our taxes, so if you get suddenly laid of from work, ,you get some money coming in for a while to tide you over until you find a new job. And the disabled can get disability coverage too.\n\nOf course, we do pay higher taxes for these things, but... I kinda like that everybody gets healthcare. NO, I'm not into Communism, but having social programs is great. And... um... we do have more education in Canada, and more avenues to get help with tuition.

If you are saving 1 lakhs per month which is possible in IT/software job then there is no point in going to Canada.\nIf company transfers you, then it makes sense. Otherwise it is foolish to go Canada. Canada govt. is taking million of immigrants and due to this real estate prices have gone up like 2-3 times. Your partner and you will have to work for atleast 20-25 years to pay the home loan.

I used to think we were very much the same and I wanted to live in the US for the weather. But as we go often I have found the atmosphere and attitude has changed greatly in the last few years. People we used to be friends with don’t speak to me anymore as I called them on their awful beliefs. I know it’s not everyone but those beliefs have become way more common. The US used to be more global but now has become way more worried about themselves. \nYou can not talk about politics in a way that’s just a calm exchange, the hate is palpable. I went to an event the morning after a mass shooting and was visibly upset, not one person there talked about it or really thought about it. I asked someone about their thoughts and said “I don’t know why we have so many shootings here in the US” \nEducation is my next thing. The people I talk to know nothing about Canada and that’s not such a surprise but I know more about the US than most Americans I’ve talked to.\nI agree with a comment previously 26:29 that the north east is better educated and less dangerous.\nI feel bad for you as this is harsh but even on the news when Americans talk about being the greatest country etc on earth it feels arrogant.
