Single guys have to live in dumps called rooms in basements and couples have to give away 75 percent of their combined income to rent a half decent apartment. So much for the canadian dream life! Looking back after 28 years living in canada i think i was better off living as an alien in usa than living here. I am still lucky to have a house otherwise i would have been in a mental hospital now. Dirty cities, over crowded hospitals, freezing temperatures, high taxes and many more issues. Still canada is better than 90 percent of the world but to have a little better life you have to sacrifice a lot, almost all your life.

Citizens that were born here are thinking about leaving because of what Trudeau has turned this country into. What frustrates me is that a lot of these immigrants are prone to vote Liberal or NDP. The problem with Canada is the leadership that they helped elect. Not all, but stats show this. When Canada comes back as a great country, these people will come back and then the cycle will repeat itself. This is why there should be a new law saying that in order to vote, one generation has to had lived in Canada for at least 20 years. Or else they'll just bounce back and forth and simply use Canada for its benefits, while we're the ones always fixing and rebuilding the country. I feel very bad for the people about to retire and now don't have enough because of the poor choices this government have made during these 8 years.

Cause before we came, when we had very solid work history and sought after credentials ( teachers, doctors, nurses) we were told that our credentials would be recognized. It turns out that there is endless redtape, overworked or incompetent institutions, and after 4, 5, or 6 years we are still dealing with bureaucracy and unable to work in our field and paying insane living costs. By the time we get our credentials recognized we have bern out of our field so long that our CV looks like crap. The smart ones leave before that, the dumb ones like me leave after, worse off, angry, and after having wasted their own money along with Canada's money fir years

Canada in general has to go through a “infrastructure revolution” to grow any further. there is not enough cities, roads, housing to sustain our current growth rate. There needs to be a massive investment in the infrastructure which also would create a ton of jobs.

A lot of people use Canada as a bridge or backup just in case of... They stay until they get their passport and then leave. The reality is, Canada doesn't offer as many opportunities despite the government claims. Highly demand jobs are most like in the construction areas or some medium-lower non skill jobs, Tim Hortons or some food chain retail stores companies etc.Considering today average pension is around $1600 dollars, so doing a simple math just to rent a room will cost you $1000 dollars, only that plus food, and remember, if you are lucky, don't pay more for some extras, such as special medical treatment or so, all that plus taxes.There's not much motivations to stay half of your life in the freezer ,or in the oven like chicken.
