17 years in Canada ?? immigrated from Bengaluru… I am blessed ?, respectful, and my gratitude ? will always be there for this beautiful country Canada ??…. We lived in Banff for 8 years and now we are living in a small town between Calgary and Red deer. This country is only for hardworking people not for cowards. So people who run from here are such people are the ones who wants to be in comfort zone and don’t want to do anything for themselves.. basically lazy people with ego and attitude ???

there is really no need for the average apartment to be so expensive except for greed ( profit) and or cost of operation which is a failure of government. Also in the constant influx of immigrants is at a rate that the city cannot cope with and that falls directly on government. This adds to the crime rate as well as homelessness. All of these failures result in bigger government that in hand requires more revenue and the merry-go-round continues. Like it or not Canada must reduce immigration significantly for a period to regain control. Our immigration level should not exceed 250,000 per year for the next 5 years or so.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.

Moral of the story is you were kamchor and lazy so you left Canada.

But crime levels are also going up in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Not sure Canada is what it used to be.

In Canada, there are private clinics which can make additional charges. Some ppl do this to avoid wait times in hospitals

I am a Canadian exasperated with the wait times for medical care here. There is a lot of prejudice in Canada against America. Our politicians are ruining our economy and many Canadians are more interested in sensationalism about American politics than they are about problems here. Everyone living in peace and safety can afford to criticise others. But Canada was safer, friendlier and more economically responsible in the past. There are unsafe neighbourhoods here, too. There is poverty here, too. Those who don't see deterioration are not looking closely. We battle the same demons as any people group and are just as vulnerable to calamity as our American neighbours. I don't want to leave my country. The people I love are here. The rising cost of living gives me fears about future homelessness. I grew up as a patriotic Canadian and believed America was our friend. We thought maybe Americans were more prone to bragging while Canadians were more modest. My nearest city used to be vibrant and friendly and now it is colder, more dangerous and there is visible ruin from addiction.

Couple is honest and hard working, no question about it. Canada is not land of opportunities anymore, as it claims to be. If you are here for like 15-20 + years, then things might be different for you. Trudeau has pretty much open the borders for like anyone, I do understand that without immigration Canada cannot survive economically, but we need to beef up the immigration process. Australia is like middle of no where, but cost of living is not as high as Canada, and wages are higher. I need to understand the salary of Sr Manager and executives in Australia, that would explain the difference between both countries.

Hospital wait times in Canada are a nightmare because EVERYONE goes to the ER for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. \n We don’t have “Urgent care clinics” like you have in the USA. \nWe have walk in clinics (basically just family physicians who don’t actually take on patients on a permanent basis and close by like 4pm \nYour kid has a cold - emergency room\nLittle scrape falling off a swing set - emergency room\nStung by a bee? - emergency room\n\nNo one has any idea how to care for themselves here. Can’t bring down a fever with Tylenol, can’t clean a wound that doesn’t require medical intervention, can’t do anything because we’ve been so coddled with “free medical care”

Ah, the USA, the land of freedom... freedom to get bent over by the system.\nBtw, police are armed in Canada too. The difference is it takes longer in Canada than in most States to become a police officer, and most act and present like professionals. They are also not seen everywhere, just the occasional police cruiser. When you see a lot of police here, the feeling it gives is that they are needed, which means there is trouble.

Canada has a 12 month maternity leave for new parents. Mom or dad get to stay home with their new baby. There is no charge for anyone to give birth.

Not just health care..(nice to be privileged)....EDUCATION. The USA lags FAR behind Canada. Hate to break it to you, Ty, but crime rates are MUCH lower in Canadian cities. DumbF would NEVER be allowed to run for office here.

Canada has high quality every thing as well. The only issue I have with our health care (in Ontario it is called O.H.I.P. - Ontario Health Insurance Plan) is that sometimes there are long waits for specialists and specialized tests. I have had a reason to be a burden on our heath care system recently. In December of last year I did some major damage to my arm (severed the vein, nerve and muscle that works the inside part of my left arm). I had an argument with my angle grinder while using a thin metal cut off blade. My angle grinder won the fight! I was in hospital for 19 days, had three surgeries, attended an out patient hand therapy clinic for 5 months, had a nurse come to my home to change my dressing twice a week for 5 months, then attended a nursing health care facility for four months, and about 5 follow up visits (so far!) with the plastic surgeon. I know what this cost me in Canada. $0.00. Any guesses what that would have cost with no medical plan in the U.S.? Me either but I know I would have that debt for a long time I'm sure!

The reason it's easier to get fast access to medical services in the States is because the people who can't afford it don't go. In Canada, if something's wrong, we don't have to think about how we'll pay for it before booking an appointment, so if anything, we overuse our medical system.

They probably had to pay us because their live in the states. You have to live in Canada for a number of days to get healthcare coverage.

I live in Toronto and I am not rich. I am regular person. \nIf you are an immigrant and especially if you are considered from visible minority group aka not white, DO NOT leave Toronto at all ! Work hard and make it work for you. I am sure the majority people from your coutires in Canada are located in Toronto and its close cities. If you chose to live outside this multicultural heaven called Toronto then expect to deal with deep racism. Yes people in Canada are rasicst althogh it is not openly like USA.\nIf you are into education and you want to do your degree, move to Montreal. Tuition fees in Montreal are way more cheaper than in Toronto or other parts of Canada. I lived in Montreal before and I went to university there. Montreal is great for education, aba rent are cheaper than Toronto but not for living there if you are visible immigrant. You will never feel you belong down there. Where as in Toronto, you will feel you belong to it within 30 mins max of you arruval. Toronto's motto are : you belong here and we have been waiting for you.\n62%of people in Toronto weren't born in Canada. You will find your community from your country in Toronto and the people are well established. I have been in different cities in Canada and I always felt stranger, even cities as close as ashawa.\nIn conclusion I would say to the visible minority immigrants stay in Toronto as much as you can for work and if you want to study in university go to Montreal. Completely agree with you. I spent 6 years in Canada and quit. Both me and my husband are highly educated but had to end up with minimum wage jobs to begin with. Winters are brutal. 2013 we experienced minus 40 with snow storms !! And keeping urself PACKED in ur home for months is extremely depressing. Medical facility inspite of being free is a joke !! You are better off getting basic medicines from India. They want to fix everything with Tylenol, that too such low potency that even 20 pills will not make any difference. And just 1 crocin in India and you can run a marathon next day. Education too is pathetic. They need a calculator to add 5 +5 !! Here 6 yr old kids do mental mathematics on 4 figures in their heads !! No university in Canada can even come close to IIT'S, IIM'S and IISC ever. 12th std math and science here in India is probably taught to engineering degree students on Canada. Moreover only Asian kids like Indians, Koreans Chinese kids ever reach university level education the rest are dropouts and busy with sex and drugs and temporary jobs to fend for the same. Mind you there is a lot of racism in Canada. Most whites hate Asians as they think that we have 'snatched' away their jobs !! They don't like it when we end up buying own homes within 2 to 3 yrs of migrating. Grocery is expensive. Commercial dairy products are high on hormones and other chemicals. It's crazy how many women there have issues with their reproductive organs. Hormone related obesity, diabetes is rampant. As she said only if you go there thru a company on projects ect it's alright. Else there is no place like India in every aspect.
