As a child of a first generation immigrant, this is horrible and WRONG. My dad and his family fled Nicaragua in the late 80's when the socialists took over. And it was a real war zone. The government stole their land, homes, and k!lled people they knew. On the way to the airport my dad (who was a small child at the time) saw dead bodies in the street.
