Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. I recall in the 80's, transferring from the bus to the train was free in Canada... NY, the late 90's. No matter your ethnic group... there is a white person living in the same region as black and brown people. There is no divide. LGBT community were able to live free without fear, hand in hand. White supremacy is really the biggest difference if we're honest... It influences so much we see and don't see in America. The highways, transportation, architecture, businesses, etc. have all been influenced by it in almost every major city.

I live in San Antonio and most of those cons are all there. The sprawl is bad. If you dont have a car, its rough af. The racial sections are there too. Mexican in the west and south, Black in the east, Whites in the north. Central being the most diverse of all of them. Hispanic/Latino are the majority here (60%) and there are huge sections of the southside that only speak spanish

I think part of the reason America is regionally segregated is because of the history of segregation. It's definitely not as bad but I'd be stupid to say that if this was a white neighborhood for 100 years that it would dramatically change over the next few generations even though there's now permission to be there. I think in time America will become more mixed like they were describing Canada. I could also see Canada as being an exception to the rule, the European and middle eastern countries I've been to seem to have their segregated neighborhoods in a similar way to America.
