Every man deserves the right to feed himself and house himself. When we deprive any human being of that natural right, things like this occur. No one should be begging for a job to sustain themselves. It should be our RIGHT to work. As a planet, we need to address this issue. I know several people who were living in government subsidized appartements, paying less then 300/month until a year ago. 3 people with their own appartements. They all ended up homeless because instead of paying their ridiculously low rent, they all chose crack. Not everything is the governments fault.

Honestly the only thing i see needing to change is the weird country divide thing. We dont want to overflow our nation with immigrants as that would directly relate to higher housing costs (more people dividing the same number of houses makes costs go up) and it may not be 100% directly related but Canada's unemployment rate is about 150% higher than that of the US which could be due to the immigration, more research would need to be done. Lastly we have a big issue of illegal immigration and we need to get that under tighter control before we become top focused on fixing the other end. If you have a boat with a leak in it you should be more concerned with fixing the leak than if you have enough supplies for your trip.

This is all verified and public knowledge in census Canada, look it up. 2 million Indians immigrants NOT including “students” which bumps the number to 4.5 million Indians are now legal immigrants. Trucking Operators/Restaurants are selling LMIA to totally unqualified people and using this bad moneys towards housing, few times buying 2nd and 3rd houses, very common in businesses operated by people from India/China. Government is totally blind\n2. Newly popped up colleges are offering totally useless courses to international students and probably funding some money to politicians , so they want Government to still have the barrages open for fresh out of school students and blue colored workers.\n3. These international students are not very qualified at the end of their courses and can only contribute to the economy to some extent , not a very productive and creative talent\n4. Totally unreported/un-taxed rental income is an another factor in bringing up an inflation, some people have more money, then they report.\n5. Governments priority seems to get people with beginner level skills/blue collars/restaurant workers , and not a real talent. They cannot create businesses.

This is a never ending perennial controversy. I really cannot understand why he bothered to come to Canada, if things are so good at home. Many people send their children over without having to leave Nigeria (for example, politicians) Some people don't do their research or count the costs before they make the leap, the just follow the bandwagon. Canada is good if you are wise. I I share my take on this whole topic on my channel where I talk about moving back to Nigeria and the truth no one told me. To each his own.

I would have the same advice for anyone thinking about immigrating to America at this time. If you are somewhat stable where you are, stay there. I moved here towards the end of 1999,and my older brother moved here early 2000. He was already established back home,while I moved here from my university. He went back after six months,came back after six month to spend another six month. He left and have not returned since then. He found out it was better for him over there. I on the other hand, was studying for my engineering; so it was better for me to stay. If you are already established where you are, I will advise you travel abroad for vacations, but don't sell all you have thinking you are travelling to paradise. I will say, travel for your own education or your children's education sake, for peace sake,for medical sake; outside of those, it might not be worth it.

I am from Cameroon, I am an assistant télécommunications engineer since 2016. I had the grace to be recruited by the end of my final year by a foreign company BUT, they are using holes in our labor law in Cameroon. The fact is for 6 years now, I am a temporary worker with monthly renewable contracts even though I am working at the same position for 6 years . The irony being, I barely make 500 usd per month, no salary increase for 5 years and with my wife and kid we can just afford to live day by days. No way for me to save some money. I made the maths: even if I work as a janitor in Canada, I can at least same some money for my child future. I am planning to move to Canada. It will always be better than the Bullshit I am through in my own country

As a second generation Nigerian immigrant (parents were born in Nigeria and I was born in the US). I 100% agree w/ his perspective. I’ve spent consider amount of time in Nigeria w/ my side of the family that’s doing well and the other side that aren’t. Aboard should only be for people who have no opportunity back home as in they have tried everything and nothing worked for them. If you are doing well in Nigeria, try and give birth to your kids in the US so they can retrieve citizenship. There is no reason a successful person back home should sell their things and move aboard even for kids as you can send them aboard to receive an education and help them gain citizenship and from their they can file for you. The amount of systemic racism, odd jobs you will have to work (God forbid you don’t have a degree and you move aboard for non degree purposes that’s when aboard will show you pepper), cost of surviving is expense here especially now as inflation is high. It’s just not benefiting especially if you were better off in Nigeria. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming just know that the road isn’t easy and some places are worse than others. I’ve never been to Canada but have been to the UK and by far would advice anyone from back home to avoid UK at all cost. Not even sure how Nigerians are even making it there lol (it’s a never ending cycle of poverty plus citizenship is very difficult to gain and the discrimination in my opinion is much worse than the US. UK society has a class system and it only really empowers British people. The UK is so bad that they even discriminate against Eastern Europeans that should let you know a lot.) Also why do you think most Brits Nigerians come back to Naija hoping to secure job compared to American Nigerians and let me tell you it’s not because the UK is close to Nigeria, there is a true lack of opportunity. There are more opportunity in the US and possibly Canada compared to the Europe.

I studied engineering in college. After graduating, I could not find a job in my field. Most products in Canada are imported, thus companies do not bother developing their own tech or spend money on R&D. I ended up giving up, and switching careers.\n\nWe just don’t have much of an entrepreneurial drive here in Canada.
