Canada is sold out ....a terrible place .....Perhaps Canada was .....Not the case anymore ...least corrupt ??? lol who paid for that commercial ? i am a fourth generation and rapidly becoming a minority group in the place I was born. What store product is Canadian as I see another amazon or walmart pop up . I will be dead before I find a family doctor . sorry for the rant but off I go to look for a cardboard box to live in.. bit dramatic? yes haha but seriously Canada is not what it was. I'm Canadian, born and raised. I feel disenfranchised and disconnected from my country. With the economic issues mentioned, I also feel like Canada doesn't have a culture or a proper identity. I don't know what being Canadian is, but it feels like it's just watered-down American culture.\n\nI've been slaving away the past few years in hopes of getting out of this place. It could be a huge mistake, and I know it is a huge risk, but I feel like I don't have much here anymore.

I think people with You Tube videos promoting Canada as a place to live are paid to do those videos. \nYour assessment regarding Canada is bang on. \nI feel sad for people who come here with the belief that their lives will be better, Only to find out that they are far worse off. \nI've noticed the cost of groceries and housing have tripled in the last few years.\nVery difficult to get a Dr in Canada. 50.000 people in my small province are without a Dr. \nPeople are being neglected by Canada's healthcare system to the point of dying right in the hospital waiting rooms or while waiting for an ambulance. Yet, A huge chunk of taxes go toward healthcare. \nHomeless encampments are on the rise as landlords are gouging people for exorbitant rent. Streets are lined with homeless people and with the high cost of living it could be anyone of us carting our humble belongings around in a shopping cart.\nIf you have children I'd avoid sending them to Canadian schools and opt for homeschooling. Your children will be read to by drag queens while sitting on some strangers lap. \nThis week in class my neighbors son class will be showing boys how to paint their nails. They've already been taught about every kind of sexual position and how to use condoms and butt plugs. If this video wasn't about Canada you could very well believe that this video was about Australia. We are pretty much the same. There are too many selfish idiots in this country who want to get rich quick through property investing. As a result of this everyone is mortgaged up to their eyeballs in debt. People think that owning investment properties means you're some sort of god. If we didn't have any resources our entire economy would be focussed on building homes. The thing is, the houses that builders build in this country are terrible. They don't insulate well, the materials used are crap, the workmanship is poor. People on average now take out mortgages 6-7x their income. To keep property booming we open the floodgates for immigrants. The societal landscape of our country is changing for the worse. Looking around Melbourne and Sydney, most people are either Chinese or Indian now. These people run away from their countries (which they think are crap compared to the West) and then they buy houses here resulting in people born in Australia losing out.\n\nThe entire thing is a god damn ponzi scheme.

My dad immigrated to Canada in 1974 as a mainframe computer programmer and I was born and raised here. I know it’s not perfect and things are getting tougher but having been around the world, it is still largely a very peaceful and stable country. I work as an engineer in the nuclear power industry of Ontario and I’m 40 something so I’m stuck here anyway ?

I was born & raised in Canada. I love my Country and the people but I have no regrets moving abroad. I was making $200K/Year in Canada and I could not get ahead … wtf? Taxes and cost of living cost me my pay cheques. I moved abroad so that I could guarantee my retirement which I accomplished. Had I stayed in Canada I would never be able to afford retirement. Been to Canada once. I really liked it while I was there but that was 9 years ago. Seeing the government going communist I would not want to live there. Same here in the area that used to be called the USA without borders. Communism. My father moved to Canada as a five-year-old shortly after WW2… shortly after that, when he was 12, he moved to the US with my grandparents to make more $$.. shortly after that, Vietnam broke out and believe it or not people in the country on work visas, children got drafted…so my father went to beautiful British Columbia where I was born.. and thank God my dad disobeyed American orders or I wouldn’t exist…☝????

It’s really sad that people see no future or safety where they are at. They’re willing to flee on foot with children and little else to walk hundreds of miles just to hopefully make their kids lives better. There has got to be a better way to help these people. I don’t know the answers but I also don’t get paid to know them. As someone who has sympathy for my brothers and sisters no matter where they were born this just hurts my heart.

I’m sorry but America can’t be the savior to the world. Our patriotism and laws mean that we are one of the most free nations and a large percentage of us would fight and do fight to keep our nation secure.
