I’d say more than half of the people that come to canada we don’t fuckin want. No skills, ignorant people that try to make Canada like their old home country. I’m soon going to try and move to the US if this problem keeps getting worse.

If you get pulled over and have 3 people in the car with you and the cop finds cocaine, and nobody fesses up to it. They all can be charged. Soooooooooo. The problem with Canada? Too much socialism, regulation and taxation.\nAs the government fails at socialism (as all governments do) , they start to spend more, getting increasingly greedy for people's money. As this happens the public notices that they aren't doing so well, and start to place blame on the rich.\nThe government happily increases taxes on businesses.\n\nBusinesses in response either;\n- Close down\n- Increase prices\n- Cut jobs\n- Reduce wages\n- Move overseas\n\nIncreasing taxes on Businesses has resulted on less money than the government expected, but the government doesn't want to reduce spending...so they increase taxes on everyone else.\n\nThis is what's happened on so many western countries.\n\nBut lets bring on that global corporation and wealth tax! What could go wrong?!

Indians do not adopt to any culture when they are out of their nest and are lazy and extremely conservatives especially old generation and very money conscious they want to live in the west but live in East culture style and do not blend with people and western culture values , interested to earn dollars but invest back in their own country and very cheap cheap people

Why do they want to come into the U.S. in the first place? If it's escaping the cartels well then I can see why I don't blame them but if it's to find better work good luck. Low pay & housing is extremely expensive we have like over a million homeless people here so good luck finding affordable housing plus not very low income housing here at all & really no welfare. The problem here is everybody is blaming these poor people that want to come over for a better life and opportunity to get away from a corrupt government that has them in poverty, with no hope of prospering! But we look at it in this country as troublemakers coming across the border and that’s not the case not to say that there’s not people that won’t make for trouble who are in that crowd but overall just good, hard-working people who are getting ready to probably be treated very poorly once they get here And if that’s not enough, but you can never fault someone for picking up a job. Well made. Wish I had this info atleast a decade ago. I’m one of the Sanjay. Immigrated to US in 2008 from India. In the green card queue for 10 years. Not sure if I get it in my lifetime. I have a foreign born daughter who I brought here when she was only few months old. She might have to self deport in a few years when she is 21. This is her home and only country she knew.\n\nThe US immigration system is cruel for people like Sanjay. But every politician knows this problem after our advocacy efforts but nobody wants to touch it. They only want our tax $$$ ..

US can't accept every Latino who doesn't like things in their own country. As a taxpayer I won't support these people . The programs we have in place are for citizens. These people know all about these programs. That's why they want to bring their issues here.

The foreigners want to blame America for not letting them in. How about blaming your country for such difficult situations that you feel the need to leave your country? And for everyone (legal or undocumented) who thinks we should open our borders to everyone immediately, you should sign up to house and feed these people. And don’t ask if they committed any crimes because you don’t feel they are important. And for all the people who come here with no invite but the others have to wait in line, you should be required to do community work for free to pay back the kindness and not be given any assistance or tax credit at the end of the year. But you should be allowed healthcare access like everyone else. The first child can be American but none after that.

I feel like this video is a perfect analogy for the differences between the two immigration systems. If you want to get rich, you take your chances on the US and its lottery system. But if you're more interested in quality of life (better education and healthcare systems), then Canada is the better choice. Housing prices are an issue in both countries, and work from home is helping alleviate for many tech workers. \n\nNeither option is right or wrong, just which option is right for you.

America should be proud that these people desire to go to America to be free and to flee from Police corruption and political corruption. So many people post hateful comments against the Americans, but these same people know that there is nobody attempting to get into their country, instead they are attempting to leave. Regardless of the negative views about immigration, immigrants are a valuable investment to any country. The Irish that sought refuge from the misery and hunger from the Irish famine were treated like shit when they arrived in America after they sailed to America on the famine ships. But history proves that they were a great investment to America. So many became successful business people, they became second generation President to the USA like Andrew Jackson, Grover Cleveland, J. F Kennedy, R Regan, etc, and not to forget many Irish in Law enforcement, and the military. So stop thinking that these people are taxing your resources, they may do short term just to help them settle in, but in the long term they are asset's. These people will get employment, pay taxes, start businesses, employ people etc. Think of the glass half full and not half empty. I live in a crappy motel in Texas for $1,000 a month like a jail cell. My rent went up from $850 in 2018 to 1400. How would Mexico like it if we sent all our undesirables to Mexico. Mexico doesn't want these people.. they wanted out of their country.

So I’m going to echo a lot of the other comments here regarding gun violence. The number ONE cause of death to children is gun violence. Not illness,not car accidents, not poverty or abuse…GUNS. \nBut here is what I found so strange. I’ve never walked into a place of business in Canada that was so clearly diverse. I went into a ladies clothing store and everyone stopped and looked at me like “what are you doing here” I’m white and everyone else was black. And I was like “ what is going on” I thought, is this a thing? My friend had the same experience. He walked into a barber shop, he’s white and all the men were black. He didn’t get it either. In both cases we were treated very well and when they realized we were Canadian we all understood the situation. Because in Canada that just wouldn’t happen. I wouldn’t want to live in a country where even businesses are segregated. That’s just a sad situation.

The arbitrary aspect of the immigration system is the most depressing aspect of living here in the US. I guess when the system was implemented it may have had some use (such as being impartial to everyone by employing a lottery system) but these systems are pretty outdated at this point and only a leverage for political parties to throw gang signs at each other talking about how bad immigration is. I also don’t think anyone wants to solve immigration problems really, I mean even some of the nicest local people I know throw their hands up like “I don’t know” and I think it’s because immigration suffers from the same thing that many other problems suffer from and that is a lack of focus. Illegal immigration takes up so much time and space that fixing legal immigration seems like a daunting challenge and not at all worth trying. If I were a betting person I would never hedge my bets on immigration, I just need to have the time to digest and understand a lot of knowledge about how immigration helps me and my country. It’s honestly up to the Government imo to give it the proper fix it deserves but, again, why bother if it doesn’t help?

I'm currently a Chinese undergrad in the US on F1 (student visa) and my cousin is one of the lucky people who had a STEM OPT extension and got H1B on their first lottery. Witnessing her experience made me want to go to a Canadian grad school instead of an American one: she's been on her H1B for over 4 years without having been able to leave the country due to visa issues, yet she's nowhere close to getting a green card - she told me, just like those mentioned in the video, that she will move to Canada if there's still no sign of obtaining a green card in a couple of years.\nI'd also like to thank you for making this video and spreading awareness of how difficult the American system is. As international students, things about immigration are like second nature to us, and we often forget that most people in the country we're migrating to have no idea of the process.

Canadian (Albertan here) - yes, i don't think i'd move to the States unless it was reasonably close (maybe Montana) with fewer people - i'd like to identify as a Hermit :). I motorcycle and have travelled majority of the States, from coast to coast, and i really do like the country side and scenery, and history, that you run through. I do a 4000-6000 mile tripe every year or two - did Tennessee last year, and Colorado this summer. A lot of absolutely amazing country really, and yes some really great people as well. Have run into some real odd people as well and some places i wanted to get out of pretty quick. I do like the fact the US hasn't bought into this woke agenda and politically correctness - it's absolutely nuts up here. I like the gun laws in the States, too bad we're so screwed over that in Canada. Gotta love Trump - may be a bit of a bozo but hey - the guy lays it out and owns his shit, every other polititician plays the blame game and does everything politically correct... End of day, i'd prefer to stay in Canada, either Alberta or British Columbia.

What ? Sound communist ? It’s not , these are guidelines for several countries , Israel being one , there it’s 2 years military svc , women included . New Zealand , Australia , japan , etc …….

My friends are working in science field and have been in US for more than 6 years but still don't know their futures. If anyone wants a stable future, don't go there. Its really not worth it even if there's good money. Other countries are friendlier and have better social facilities.

I too wanted to go abroad to study but when I came to knw that Indian students overthere work as cheap labourers I quit that idea of going abroad to study n decided to stay in India n study in Indian college n today I'm well established in L&T construction as civil engineer earning salary in 6 digits.\n\nI love my india n request all fellow Indians to stay in India rather than living miserable life in foreign countries

I believe that the idea/logic behind the same percentage to every country under the US policy is exactly what you have mentioned - the don't want the US to become China or India. They want the population to be diverse, and TBH I can understand that.

It's understandable their want to move to a better country however even the US isn't all that, it's expensive and even we have a hard time finding affordable housing and in general paying for our bills.

This Canadian lived in Orange County CA for 10 years. I took my the 12 year old with me. I had been offered my dream job and was paid enough to have a good standard of living. However, I lived in an immigrant community to save money as I found many of the high schools were horrid compared to Canada. I had not realized the school to school inequality to be so extreme and my kid changed to independent study at home. So with a Canadian elememtary education, they graduated high school a year only while skipping no courses..\n\nMy kid had medical issues and even with good HMO insurance, we could never get a decent diagnosis until it had gotten so bad that their digestive system was so wrecked. I finally sent them back to Canada for the surgery that we could not get in the USA. It seemed the insurance companies kept getting in the way. And in one case a doctor went all religious on us. After 6 years of almost continuous pain they finally got relief for a decade until the prior damage came back to haunt them However, after a year of university ib Canada my kid went to a private university in the eastern USA. They have decided to remain in the USA and now in their mid 30s, they make really good money anf have top line medical insurance which pays for the ongoing care they need because of the damage caused by delays when a teenager. \n\nI found life in the suburbs of Orange County nice but the OC is not a good place to meet people. When after 10 years there, in 2010 I returned to Vancouver to care for my elderly mother. I had been living alone for 6 years by then and was offered the first job in Vancouver anything close to me dream job there. and I returned to Canada at age 59. I had been approved for a green card in 2008 but there was a 6 year wait for it to come through. But I noticed the racism in the USA start breaking out all over the place when Obama got elected. And it has gotten worse and worse every year. Especially with 45 enabling it so much. \n\nMy circle of friends in Southern California are mainly good people and not at all like what we call MAGA-hats now. Except one who thinks 45 was the greatest. Politically, the USA is on the path that Germany was on in 1933 and I fear for the US Democracy if the Orange One gets in again. Even my kid and their spouse have bug out plans to head to Canada just in case. This is why my kid, while having a green card has never taken US citizenship. Besides, being a Canadian has not affected things the two times they got security clearances \n\nWhile most Americans are good people, it seems that about 25% have gone just plain loco and care nothing about democracy. And appear to prefer the USA to be a totalitarian theocracy \n\nI was there long enough, paying the maximum FICA taxes for 10 years to get a small pension from Social Security and I have Medicare Part A. I can afford to buy parts B and D but I see no reason. I have even better coverage in Canada for way less cost. The USA has a nice warm climate in many places and I just loved that. But otherwise y'all have too many people who want to turn the place into an intolerant police state and to return the country to 1950s levels of intolerance, So in my retirement, I will stay here in Canada. Even though I could go and move in with my kid in the USA and get onto US Medicare.

In other Country, people rushing their borders would be shot. United States failures to enforce legal immigration laws and now here we are, the world has decided we owe it to them to live here. They want their country back

Maybe because other people don't want to immigrate to Canada but seems like 80% of immigrants in the past decade have been from India. \n\nSeems like most immigrants continue to live like they back home and as a whole it has become a much dirtier place, especially in Southern Ontario some times hard to tell which country you are actually living in.

Never would I ever move there. Move to a country with huge racial issues, gun issues, capitalism for health care and so on… Never. I also do not want to live around people who feel the rest of the world is beneath them. We see the attitude when Americans visit Canada.
