Instead our healthcare system is flooded. And it's inefficient and expensive as is already. We just need to tame the number of people we allow in, and grow our ability to self-sustain first.\n- It's too late now, but government policies to give out money during COVID was poorly executed, yet plentiful. When 40% of currency was printed in the last year/two, no doubt we will have inflation. This was never touched upon in the video. Resources/social supports should have been provided rather than just straight up $$$. There was an excess of money given to places they shouldn't have been. We saw a boom in industries like say hobbies and games, showing additional money being wasted where it should have been used for food and shelter. \n- Canadian government is not trying to be as aggressive to retain Canadian companies. We are heavily dependent on US corporations and hence the brain drain as well. Salaries do not compare, especially when remote work is now possible. \n\nWe are already deep in the hole and need to be more financially responsible. I'd strongly disagree with the last statement in this video that we are perceived as corrupt (there's been lots of civil unrest because of government misspending). We are civil and polite, but that's not what helps economies grow, as OCED forecasts as well.

It seems like a good, strong border wall might stop illegal immigration.

This a Biden Admin blunder. When you advertise to the world that the US has free lunch, don’t be surprised when the border gets bum rushed. The Biden Admin and the Democrat part has basically allowed the likes of child, drug, human, and sex traffickers to blend in with folks desperate to flee their country. The traffickers use the people fleeing as cover, as mules. The regular people are preyed on and killed in some cases by these criminals. And all this is happening at a faster rate because we’re telling people to just come instead of doing immigration the orderly way. I'm a Canadian living in the UK now. I love Canada with every piece of my heart but couldn't see myself ever being anything other than working poor there. I went to college but couldn't get a job in my field so had to take whatever minimum wage I could get, couldn't afford rent let alone buying a property so moved in with my parents and there isn't any support from the government for average citizens, only if you're an immigrant, disabled etc. I'm not against helping immigrants, disabled people or those that need it, just sucks that if you don't fall into certain categories it means you'll always struggle in your minimum wage job.\nLife in the UK isn't perfect but I was able to find a decent job here, the public transit is actually usable, phone plans and other bills/groceries tend to be cheaper and the working conditions are significantly better. Like I get 32 paid days off a year in my average job which is just wild to me! In Canada my sister who is a police officer only gets 15 days off a year and that's a lot compared to other people, like I never use to get any paid time off at my previous jobs. I miss parts of living in Canada but for the time being the UK is making my life a lot easier.

Sad part is that any “anti” immigration stance is just unamerican. But this is obviously out of control. Make an Ellis island type facility on the border. Take their name and info with a waiting period to find any criminal records or prior deportations. Give people the chance to do it legally and stop treating them like cattle in make shift camps. The Canadian government has screwed this country for decades!! And the massive flood of immigrants is screwing millions of Canadians. Canada’s biggest problem is it’s socialistic policies of the Liberal governments. Don’t confuse things: social programs like education and healthcare are not an exclusive marker of socialism. The balance of government interference in the economy IS. Nobody in their right mind would start a business in Canada today. \n\nSecondly, running a business means buy and resell, manufacture and sell leaving a profit. But the business of running Canada is losing money. The formula of running the country doesn’t work. We go deeper into debt every year, now to the point where it’s impossible to grow out of debt. As we allow massive immigration to counteract an aging, non-productive population, because of that negative formula, we just keep going deeper and deeper into debt. But it seems that most Canadians want that because we keep voting in the ‘robbers’. It’s time for Canadians to understand that soon a death tax will come in where all your asset value in taxes will go to the government. But that’s coming and is the only way for the government to pay down its debt.

Corporate America turns a blind eye to this because they want cheap labor. That’s why you’ll never see the immigration issue resolved until there’s full blown violence. The same thing is happening across the developed world. In a country like Canada, where the labor pool is coming from India, the social programs would fail if not for the taxes and fees collected from these migrant low wage earners. But it’s fuelling the housing crisis and other social problems. Complex business folks.

I get where you're coming from, no one is more patriotic than myself but bro this is the land of hope. My grandfather who raised me is an immigrant who left a life of no hope and growth to come here. He was deported 12 times but each time fought to come back. Now he is a father of 4 grandfather of 7 American citizens. He is the pride of our family for how much of an outstanding person he is. But all this would not have come to fruition if it wasn't for the opportunities that this country provided. The problem with accepting a lot of immigration from countries like Venezuela for example is that all the good people that have some influence flees the country, leaving tyrants to stay in power longer since most of the opposition fled the country. If they want to leave the country because of the elected government they have to stay over there and solve their problem. On top of that I have many friends who came to the U.S. because of the government but go back to their country every year for vacation. I am not against immigration, and if we are smart we can get more people working and contributing with taxes, I just don’t like the fact that most of this people are good people who fled their country to leave tyrants free to do whatever they want.

If we had an immigration program where after passing a background anyone can join a roving us work immigration camp where for 5 years they’ll work and get free education afterwards so they can save and pick up american work and life culture. \nFor 5 years every new migrant will be building roads, laying water and electric lines and building homes and neighborhoods. This will bring cost of living way down here in the USA while doing a faster better job of Americanizing our newcomers. As an immigrant from Europe who came to the US legally, I'm very appalled that people have such low moral values that even when they're told no, they still come here illegally. I moved here because I like traveling, I come from a former communist country. However my country wasn't always safe, we had to fight for decades to make it safe. None of these immigrants care enough about their countires to make it safe for future generations, instead they leave. Remember, you're not an asylum seeker. An asylum seeker goes to the nearest country that's safer, the US and Canada are usually not that close.
