I met a guy from Canada & advised me its better to relocate to one of the less desired locations. I mean everybody wants to move to Toronto or Vancouver but there are also cities like Calgary or Nova Scotia. And I think there's a provincial nomination instead of the skilled workers program. I don't know how strictly they follow it but the Canadian system is supposed to give preference to Canadian citizens and permanent residents first.

When people say because of their children's future I wonder if they worry about how wokeness has taken over Canada's school and other systems. In the Philippines, the Canadians talk Canada up so much. I thought that the place was going to be amazing. But to my amazement country is unbelievably boring. I moved from Canada to the USA many years ago and the USA is definitely a better place to live. There was too much discrimination in Canada and the Canadian Healthcare system is just an excuse for you to not get any medical treatments. There is no freedom of speech in Canada and they use the high taxes to rob you. Maybe for all these reasons, the U.S. Economy is the strongest and most robust in the world. Don't take my word for it, Elon Musk is widely recognized as one of the smartest people in the world and he moved from Canada to the USA just like I did.

He's a Nigerian doctor. Canada is not a place where foreign doctors thrive. But he can go be a nurse or do something else and be fine. Alternatively he can choose to move to the US or apply their medical residency. Like he said, he's giving his children a better life which he probably couldn't give them in Nigeria.
