I have no idea why anyone would come to Canada right now!

Many immigrants find the first few years difficult because of the job ethics. The job ethics here in Canada is quite different from Nigerian with a laidback background. In Canada you work for every cent and it has really worked for them and some of us. I have employed so many Africans especially Nigerians who thought I am mean because they have to work for every penny. You are not paid to come and have a chitchat at work or spend 5 hours on something that could take you 3 hours to do. I will say if you can't change your work ethics and try to integrate into the Canadian system please stay back in your country. I have also seen people who have been clouded with that high life they lived back home and find it difficult to Start at the bottom. Even if you are living a good life in Nigeria, Canada is a better place to live if you can unlearn some things and relearn other things.\nAnd is there systemic racism? The answer is YES. If our leaders treat us right, 80 percent of our people won't leave their country. Let's hold our government responsible not the north American government or their people.

As a Nigerian, I’m telling you, FORGET about this Nigerian man talking in this video. Nigerians are currently in the emotional phase of being annoyed, unprovoked. It’s like a guilty pleasure. They want to get angry because they can. Let me add this , if Ghana or Nigeria has the working ethics needed to at companies or business these two countries would have developed so well , ask yourself whats the quality of life for a person who is developing in Nigeria and that of Canada , Nigeria and Ghana has the most laziest and Greediest Government official , they come to work at the time they want , they work anyhow and they steal from the government too , meanwhile a country is developed by the hardworking people in the country , Cannada has built their system in a way that it doesnt support lazy people, how many better roads and energy system thats nigeria have , all that money for that is spent by lazy government officials and illegal business men , listen young men and women , you the situation in Ghana and Nigeria , dont let these opinions back stop you ,life is hard everywhere but live and workhard in a country that supports your hardwork because there is no place for a lazy man on earth

As a second generation Nigerian immigrant (parents were born in Nigeria and I was born in the US). I 100% agree w/ his perspective. I’ve spent consider amount of time in Nigeria w/ my side of the family that’s doing well and the other side that aren’t. Aboard should only be for people who have no opportunity back home as in they have tried everything and nothing worked for them. If you are doing well in Nigeria, try and give birth to your kids in the US so they can retrieve citizenship. There is no reason a successful person back home should sell their things and move aboard even for kids as you can send them aboard to receive an education and help them gain citizenship and from their they can file for you. The amount of systemic racism, odd jobs you will have to work (God forbid you don’t have a degree and you move aboard for non degree purposes that’s when aboard will show you pepper), cost of surviving is expense here especially now as inflation is high. It’s just not benefiting especially if you were better off in Nigeria. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming just know that the road isn’t easy and some places are worse than others. I’ve never been to Canada but have been to the UK and by far would advice anyone from back home to avoid UK at all cost. Not even sure how Nigerians are even making it there lol (it’s a never ending cycle of poverty plus citizenship is very difficult to gain and the discrimination in my opinion is much worse than the US. UK society has a class system and it only really empowers British people. The UK is so bad that they even discriminate against Eastern Europeans that should let you know a lot.) Also why do you think most Brits Nigerians come back to Naija hoping to secure job compared to American Nigerians and let me tell you it’s not because the UK is close to Nigeria, there is a true lack of opportunity. There are more opportunity in the US and possibly Canada compared to the Europe.

The Canadian government doesn't have anything to do with this. Why would people want to say in Canada? There is no housing, I can't believe people think they can just come to Canada illegally. There is no housing, Canada is not the country you want to come to.

A perfect storm is brewing in Canada. Inflation, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

He had 2 drivers and other domestic staffs in Nigeria but bet me and you he will be paying them slavery wage of 15 thousand Naira in a month,those are the kind of life he is missing in Canada cos there is dignity in labour there even if you want to do house help there they must pay you well and majority cannot afford it. I have come to understand that I don't need much in life once i can eat and pay my bills without knowing looking for loans to eat , pay school fees , accomodation what else .

There should be no way to come here as a tourist and stay and this type of behavior encouraging this should also be considered criminal. Canada will hopefully have a new government soon and hopefully every loophole in our immigration policy is plugged

Better education? The only reason these so called adults (18 YO) come to Canada is for iPhone, Apple Watch and expensive cars with custom number plates. Their ego is skyrocketed with simply working at a food joint. They consider themselves way above what they are made to do here and their attitude makes it very evident. This doesn't apply to all but a significant chunk. Stop international students if they are coming here for some rubbish arse program or unless they don't prove they have skills to contribute professionally and not just flip patties at food junctions. I’d say more than half of the people that come to canada we don’t fuckin want. No skills, ignorant people that try to make Canada like their old home country. I feel very safe in downtown Toronto because I am accustomed to it. I've never experienced any issue with the homeless and continue to talk to them, offer them food IFFFF they just happen to be pan-handling and often hug them to make them very SEEN. Incorrect, Canada is not white people hating on black people nor any other race. It is the other way around. The truth is that Canada is segregated.
