i talked to some Mexican construction workers who are building my parents' retirement home there. what i make in 1 day takes them weeks, almost a month to make. i asked why don't they apply for a visa. they can't afford it and said the wait could be around 11 years and even then, visa workers are corrupt and help their friends or those who bribe them first. it's a shit situation for everyone. i'm lucky to have been born on the U.S. side of the border. it is what it is.

Welcome to Canada I know lots of people from here born and bread who have degree's in there field and working other jobs way under there pay grade so it's a Canada way ?

Facts they want you to make 3 to 4 times the rent then they are asking for the same thing the bank is asking for to get a home loan. And even if you have the income then you need to meet the credit criteria. The United States is starting to get over populated cause a lot of people are coming from other countries. Instead of coming to USA focus on your country work on it instead of running away from it. And tbh it’s not fair that most of the immigrants like the women especially they apparently come here to work but yet get more help than the ones who was born here by getting EBT getting pregnant over And over again. My god yes, this exactly what I'm seeing as a born and raised Canadian. I just work hard, have most of my money taken and limits to me to just working 40+ hours a week so I can go home and watch some youtube. Everything you're saying doesn't just apply to immigrants. People born and raised here are seeing how screwed they're getting, and we're supporting everyone who is coming here, or need more medical, or income support, or have a bunch of kids and are single, and that's is all you get to do.

Really, illegal immigration is not good, basically you're accepting poverty into your country; why poverty? Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

My journey to permanent citizenship took 5 long hard years of hard work, impeccable record of residency with no issues with any law or law enforcement, slogged through employment at the company who sponsored (much lesser pay). I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

Report and deport . Get work visas do it correctly and you cannot have kids be born in u\nS soil. Why do we have to work to pay taxes so they can come and have free medical? My parents are immigrants but never took a penny or got any help help because my parents weren't from here.
