I feel like this video is a perfect analogy for the differences between the two immigration systems. If you want to get rich, you take your chances on the US and its lottery system. But if you're more interested in quality of life (better education and healthcare systems), then Canada is the better choice. Housing prices are an issue in both countries, and work from home is helping alleviate for many tech workers. \n\nNeither option is right or wrong, just which option is right for you.

Canada should examines the ethical implications of affluent nations benefiting from the emigration of highly educated individuals from economically disadvantaged countries. This phenomenon, often referred to as brain drain, can hinder the economic growth of these nations by depleting their skilled workforce. It might be worthwhile to analyze the broader migration system in Western countries and explore ways to support the development of struggling nations, rather than inadvertently contributing to their decline by encouraging mass emigration. This perspective raises questions about the ethical stance of allowing people to depart, as it may perpetuate a cycle where the prospects for those left behind remain stagnant due to the loss of valuable talent.

Basically: it's better to be rich in the US, but it's better to be poor in Canada.

You never mentioned the real reason for Canada's immigration policies. The stated goal of 100 million by the turn of the century. 50 million by 2050. We don't need computer specialists or foreign doctors, we need iron workers, framers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and especially bricklayers. \nFor example in the case of Doctors: We just need to approve foreign university trained degrees of Canadians who can't get into Canadian Medical Schools and instead go offshore. \nOur Canadian Universities need to ween themselves off the quick cash Liberal Arts teets and focus more on STEM and Small Business occupational training

As a Canadian at this point, I'm taking up Russian as I'd like to live in Russia over canada

Canada needs per country limits, if you look at stats you’ll see that there are thrice folds of immigrants from certain countries … I wish our government valued the Canadians who have lived her our whole lives instead of immigrants just for economic gain

Canada is broken. Can’t even help it’s own citizens, let alone immigrants and refugees. Everyone deserves better than this. All the governments do is point fingers. Where’s the compassion in helping people ?

Part of being born in Canada is just accepting that a home is something you’ll never have, so stop hoping.

Immigration is destroying Canada

My husband and I left Canada to go back to our home country last Nov after being gone for 17-20 years. Life is very different in Paraguay but we are enjoying it and we love not having mandatory insurances.

Its not just Canada. If a Canadian goes away the tuition is also doubled

Yes, it could happen. We are a multi racial black/brown/Euro decent family in Canada. There are giant pot holes in the Canadian health care system for us as we are often not believed or assumed to be drunks or drug-heads. We know similar families who HAD to take work in America (with benefits) FOR the health care, the doctors were less likely to gatekeeper care when it was paid for. Also those who moved to New Jersey, Missouri, Wisconsin found much more racially inclusive communities (seemingly largely due to just a bigger population of different people so no one really sticks out)

We were supposed to move to the USA in the late 60s I’m so happy my father decided to turn his station waggon back to Canada. We’re not perfect but the US isn’t serious deep shit.

Being born and raised in a third world country, I would love to be the fuel of Canada's economic engine, no matter how bad the Canadian economy might be, I have lived my entire life in an unimaginably much worse one. ?❤

India jyada better hai kyunki India me 1kamane vala 4 jan ka parivar chala sakta hai Canada ma har ek ko kamana padta hai senior citizens ko bhi kaam karna padta hai chote bacho ko chhod kar mother ko job karni padti hai to ye loss hi hai

Sadly, you came to the wrong country. If the government gives you housing, than as a tax payer they should give me housing because they failed me first. Canada is broken.

And you Tyler. When are you moving to Canada ?

So this is ignorance. Most Americans have absolutely no understanding of Sikhism or even where Sikhs come from. Canada has had more exposure.

India is a super power. Now all Indians living in US and Canada should come back home.

We recently drove to my daughter’s cottage in Montana. We live in BC. She and her family live in Alberta. Another couple, two doctors, was joining us for the weekend. We got lost and they did too. Not a problem, we all arrived eventually. They commented that they did not feel that they could go to someone’s house and ask for directions. We agreed and felt the same thing. In Canada that would absolutely not be the case.

Hi Tyler, first time I have watched your video, you appear to be known on the tube channel. You may be a nice guy, but you really live in a bubble, if the horror around you , in your country , domestically and especially foreign, does not effect you or your life, you cannot have a point of reference. School shooting has become a norm in your country, foreign politics, I don't want to start with that, domestic politics and corruption beyond comprehension, I have visited the US numerous times and I like the people, well , I had the right colour , that helped. My statements are not meant to attack the people of the US, it is meant to show that your domestic and foreign policies are extremely dangerous, since you can only be voted in if you have the backing of the corporate world, and don't forget to kneel before AIPAC , so , the people are friendly , but your domestic violence is literally stupid, your prison are privatized , they have to make money, you have the largest amount of prisoner , the corporate media , especially certain media such as Fox or Cnn, that is all the people know, very few read or do research, so , in conclusion, I like visiting certain aspects of your country, but I could not ever live there, my morals would prevent it, so good luck, unfortunately your politics effects Canada, economically, Canada should be far more independent.

I have been to 25 countries across uk,Europe, north America,Middle East , hog kong,Singapore, never felt anywhere better than India. Yes other countries are definitely better in typical infrastructure but still India scores lot better in other things. Not talking in terms of fake patriotism but even for all practical purposes (offcourse my personal opinion) and tbh Canada I was never interested

Canada accepts many immigrants to work as factory workers, or servants.

Canada has less people than the state of California! \nUSA : 330m+ people\nCanada: 39m+\nUSA is 42.5% of the $108.6 trillion global equity market cap in 2023, or $46.2 trillion. This is 3.8x the next largest market, EU.\nCanada is at 3 trillion.

Canada needs to restrict immigration. It is having terrible effects on housing and making the country less safe and more expensive, as well as lowering social cohesion.

The trade-off of salary vs cost of living isn't as bad as he makes it seem when you live in Canada vs the U.S. To get those 300k a year jobs, your paying 4-5-6k of rent a month. You can have a similar apartment in Montreal for 1/4 of the price. maybe even less. It's still a slightly a loss compared to the states, but nowhere near as big as he makes it seem. Also, salaries don't drop off as much as in the states when you leave big city centers, meaning if you live in a medium sized town, you're making almost as much as if you worked in a big city but cost of living is way, way down.

Right now only Khalistanies are going to Canada. Safe heaven for them.

Canada & Aus biz model is to squeeze immigrants and is not sustainable
2023-07-31 0
The summary touched on but didn't expand on one aspect: many use Canada as a back door entry into the US.\n\nSpeaking as a professional level Canadian living in the US, the Canadian brain drain is very much real. The cost of living discrepancy and wage limitations make the US a constant appeal for Canadian professionals.\n\nBecomes more realistic to immigrate to Canada, get a good education, residency/citizenship, work for a couple of years to gain experience... and then start job hunting in the US.\nMight take a few years but likely shorter and better odds than a lottery.
2023-07-31 0
There's not really a secret weapon here. Compensation (for the same work) in Canada vs. the USA is hilariously tiny. So, the real talent will always shift to where the value is.

Nothing to eat in pakistan\nChildren in Pakistan starving.\nSo go Canada. Nothing to lose.
2023-07-31 0
I'm willing to believe that Canada does genuinely need these high levels of immigration, but if that is the case then the government had better figure out a way to increase the housing supply or else none of them are going to have a place to live.

? nope not noway I will never be a full-time SNOWBIRD I can go to a firing range to hear firearms\nAnd having everything here health care is number one thing I can get hurt or sick anywhere in Canada and I will have care. \n4 seasons is my time keeper. \nAnd then if Americans visit ok but I definitely don't want to worry about them moving here full-time because I don't want to hear politics 24 7 .

*Excuse you*, Canada is a BIGGER, better version of what the USA is trying to be. BIGGER. More land mass up here, and it's really nice when it's not snowing. Maine seems nice, but most places are too expensive or too crazy. TYVM but absolutely not. I wouldn't trade my multicultural society for the world. Aside from the fruit loop fanatics, the gun laws and mass shootings, the ridiculous health care system that can't seem to provide care to people who need it, there's so much more about the USA to dislike. The rich dominate your society. The poor can't afford a college education and rich alumni kids don't even have to pass their courses. Some of your laws, like what constitutes rape in New York, are based on archaic thinking. Some of my relatives aren't white, and I worry about them when I hear they're thinking of spending time in the US. Seriously, we Canadians watch your movies and dramas where the plot is driven by something that isn't even an issue up here, and we're just, head shake, nope, no, nope.
2023-07-30 0
As a Canadian i can 100% assure you that our immigration system is broken. The reason for the ridiculous housing prices and low incomes is due to a surplus of labour. Because of how many Indians are coming to Canada, my country has become unlivable. Im in the process of moving south. I and most of my friends and family simply can't afford to live here anymore. Its a shame the place my family has lived for generations has been ruined to such an extent

It is very heartening to know that the craze of the west (specially US & Canada) is waning and we have a comparison where India wins on many fronts.

The situation for medical professionals in Canada is dire. There aren't enough practitioners and Canada makes it impossible for internationally trained practitioners to practice here. This may be worthy of a video
2023-07-30 0
Hey man cool video, id love to see a video on the current housing crisis in Canada

I am Indian and if I had to immigrate I would only choose english speaking countries except UK, I am fine with USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND. But I can't, I have too much duties in my own country here, I have to look after my Grandpa, Grandma, mom, dad, sis, uncle who is in his 50s and ill, so...... Immigrating is not an easy task, people who might hate immigrants should know a lot of them had to sacrifice.

Canada is what the USA would be like if the Republicans Party did not have any power, and political bribery was illegal.
2023-07-29 0
Now show me the statistics of immigrants leaving Canada. Because they're leaving Canada almost as fast as they're coming in.

Canadian here with many friends in the US. Daughter married an American and he immigrated to Canada last year after he finished his military service. The original plan was that she would join him in the States for a few years before he got out. Once Trump was elected and the USA went bat-crap crazy with the war on women's rights, the lgbtq+ community and truth and justice for all (not just those with money or power) she told her husband she'd wait for him up here. It's a big fat no thank you. Y'all have lost your way; broke your moral compass and feel that it's okay to trample on the rights of others.

dont go to canada unless you have a few million dollars and like the cold
2023-07-29 0
The USA can be a nice place to visit, and I have a lot of friends and family there. But I would never move to the States from Canada. Starting with health care and winding through a ton of social rights issues, there is no comparison. We're not perfect, we all have work to do, but the US is scary for more than a visit ....

I think the US system is a bit too strict, but having been to Toronto and Vancouver, I’m sorry but the degree of immigration there is too much to allow for assimilation of cultures into a monolithic Canadian culture (which is essential for a nation imho). The US has a stronger unified culture despite being multiethnic - plus it’s services/housing are not under strain like in Canada.
