This video is fundamentally flawed as you have not accounted for illegal immigrants in the USA which is 11 million at the absolute minimum. Canada does not have the same issue with illegal immigrants.

Canada already has sepratist issues in Quebec and its French speaking population. A sudden influx of immagrants into a relatively small country is going to cause social issues.\n\nWhy would an immigrant convert to the local culture/language when there are so many people in his very neighborhood that are from where he's from?\n\nImmigration has enriched the USA greatly. However, we do this slowly and to a manageable degree.

Canada's playing the long game, they slowly allowing foreigner's to buy up all their homes until poor Canadians can no longer afford to live in the country.\n\nThis isn't a anti-foreigner issue either, many countries limit house buying to residents of the country, or at least living there semi regularly. You see absolutely rundown homes in Canada selling for 1-2 million.\n\nHard to see why there is more second, and third home purchasers yearly than first time home owners. You have a market open to the world, and force the folks living there to compete.\n\nIt makes home ownership impossible for hundreds of thousands of hard working citizens, as the homes are very limited, the pool of buyers is vast, and new supply is dwarfed by current demand.

I work in tech and need to mention the negatives of H1B even though having tons of highly skilled workers would be nice for country.\n\nThe first issue is that H1B workers are happy with accepting lower pay for relevant position so long as they get opportunity to get a company sponsor. This causes a downward pressure on wages obviously.\n\nSecond is they are also VERY obedient Caste like stuff going on between Indians or absolute silence from East Asians on anything that needs to change. This causes management expectations from workers to be skewed against citizen workers.\n\nThird, they are only here short time to earn as much as possible, even some I know shared a 1 bedroom between 2 people just to hoard as much as they make cause when they go back to their country it means they are rich. So they work 24/7 and causing company expectations to be unrealistic for citizen workers.

I can fully believe that 14% number. In the past especially 4-6 years ago republicans which are the most vocal has been hating immigrants for no reason and blaming them for everything. Who wants to move the us with all this hate plus the issue with healthcare.

Not only would I not move there, I will not visit, unless I have to. Just a point I noticed, you keep skipping over the stripping of women’s rights and going back 50 years. That was a little concerning, but all are valid issues to not move there

I watched a news reel this week about drug addiction and poverty and I could not believe how extensive the ‘downtown down-and-out’ areas were in many cities in EVERY state. I can’t believe how the governors of certain states are focused on attacking LGBTQ issues, controlling women’s health, allowing anyone (regardless of their mental health and past criminal behaviour) to buy guns- lots of guns, guns that only armed forces or law enforcement would require. Why aren’t they focused on the huge hollowing out of their cities due to drug addiction? It’s a bizarre country - certainly not a 1st world country anymore.

Damn. Im right next door in Buffalo. We' obviously have these similar issues in the states. Thankfully my city has been able to dodge the influx as it is happening in nyc, Chicago. Interesting to see it happening to a similar capacity in Canada

No matter what kind of insurance you have, you still have to deal with a stupid amount of red tape and bureaucracy just to get your care covered, and the drug prices are out of control. and you have no idea when that horrible health issue is going to happen to you. In Canada, I go to the doctor, I give my health card, done deal. The healthcare system in Ontario particularly is under attack and they're trying to privatize hospital care by underfunding everything else. But our premier is also a Conservative Trump Lite wannabe who is buddy buddy with a lot of rich folks.There are absolutely problems here, Canada is dysfunctional in a lot of ways. But I would NEVER move to the states, definitely not as a disabled/chronically ill woman. Hell no. Also--we're not THAT nice, Americans are always surprised at how much Canadians dislike the USA. My brother moved there but he's much more conservative than me (for Canada) and his job doesn't exist here in Canada.

As a Canadian, the biggest thing that is an issue is no universal health care. The second big issue is your nut bar gun culture. We have issues in Canada no doubt, but overall I would prefer to stay in my own country. I have been to the US a countless number of times, everywhere from Vermont to Hawaii. There are some nice places and people, but the political climate religious nut cases and gun culture have even turned me off of visiting the US.

I think American's are becoming desensitized to shootings. There have been gun scares at two different schools my kids have attended (even in a more affluent area), and I have spoken to other kids who are afraid to play in their own yard because of shootings near their house. This was not an issue when I was little. Things are getting out of hand, and we can't effectively deal with this issue if we are desensitized to it.

The problem lies in the fact that in the mainstream the issues are different and they are different for the secluded populations. For capitalists minded people, Canada is really not the country whose economy they can rely on. For the socialists, and reformers, there is a lot of potential in Canada but it also required a huge amount of resources to begin with anything. To be honest, Canada is a different kind of world, but it is better than USA in my opinion.

This is highly biased just because they have moved to Canada doesn’t necessarily mean that Australia is any less .Both are DEVELOPED nations to be very precise .Australia has the highest wedge rates and yes as compared it’s hard to get into Australia than Canada because Australia is more into skilled workers it’s twice the size of India with only 2.5 cr of population and they manage their population and jobs at their best which is commendable and the same is with Canada as well .Every country has their own norms and have their pros and cons just because one couple has faced some issue with Australia doesn’t necessarily mean all the people have faced the same thing again it depends on the field you are working at . Covid has changed perspective and situations of every country one more Point Australia has never entered recession in 4 decades that’s a great point to consider . There is nothing wrong if these developed nations having strict barriers to consider people from outside as they want to manage things at their best be it for their own or international people living their which is the best thing any country can do for themselves and most importantly what people need to understand if they are from developing nations is that any developed country will be difficult be it CANDA ,AUSTRALIA etc nothing comes easy so to anyone getting little inclined towards any country I will highly recommend to have an intensive research on this as moving to any developed nations is not easy people have different mindset and perception you can decide what is best for you .?

The Government of Canada recently issued a 'travel advisory' for the United States travel because of random acts of violence with no pretense that you can protect yourself. I've heard of 'travel advisories' for certain States, but this is the first time I've heard it for the entire U.S. anywhere. In answer to the question: No. Too many guns, too many gun owners, too much religion pumping out hate and bigotry and too much arrogance.

Canadian here. I’ll never forget visiting Disneyworld and hearing the people sitting across from me complain they weren’t allowed to bring their guns into the park. They didn’t get why it was an issue. It was horrifying and mind blowing. It’s that part of America gun culture that makes me very sure I’d never move there. I know it’s not all Americans, but knowing an American family is out there annoyed they can’t bring weapons into a family theme park is enough.

The United States could not even get through a transfer of power without violence. This is beyond pathetic. The peaceful transition of power is the #1 job of first-world democracies.\n#16. Attitudes toward social problems such as poverty and drug addiction. \n\nNotice that #4 - #7 could be subdivided into more than one reason.\nI thought this list was going to have 5 or 6 items on it.

From my childhood it was my dream to love in USA or Canada but now I realized money and materialistic pleasure can't bring you true happiness in life \nWhat these countries lack is engaging in social circle and generally theres feeling of loneliness and depression in the suburban areas.\nI would never want to live like that no matter how many cars and luxury houses you give me.\nIt's no wonder despite being the richest country in the world , depression and mental health issue is so much high in United States

So you came to Canada to reach your dreams… and now you want to go home. So Canada was able to support you in attaining your dreams. So does that mean the country you left didn’t give you the same opportunities? And people leave because the passport is so solid… so basically you are using the country to elevate yourself and to prosper yet you can not find the grace to understand and accept that all countries have issues and yet some are still better than most… Canada would be one of those countries. Your ingratitude is not healthy and perhaps you might stick around long enough to make the changes that you feel would make Canada a better country for all. If you are indeed a Canadian then this is your country too… so take some responsibility and help to make it better. I’m a US/Canadian citizen and my entire family live in the US. They always ask me to move back. No Way, I love my home country but with the Health Care cost, crime, and political issues, just doesn’t compare. \n\nMy Step-Father, who was a retired US Marine, was denied much needed medical treatment for Myelodysplasia. When he passed, my mother lost everything, house, car, everything. Had to claim bankruptcy. This would not have happened in Canada.

The fact that you skipped over the comments about abortion and LGTBQ2S rights likely sums up why alot of Canadians wouldn't live there. These are huge human rights issues an should be an honest part of this conversation. If you can't handle the answers, don't ask the question!

I’m with my fellow Canadians, I’ll visit the US (although even then, it’s beginning to look less and less ideal) but over my dead body would I live there. \nThe fact you have become desensitized and don’t discuss school shootings is baffling. 4 or 5 years ago, there was a shooting where I live in Canada. The whole city was on lock down. I believe one elderly woman died, and 3 were injured. The person was caught, arrested, and is rotting away in jail. It hasn’t happened since. People still remember it. My little sister and I were scared, so we hid in my bedrooms closet. (It was on the second floor, and there was no way anybody could break in and get up there easily.)\n\nHealthcare is a huge issue. My family has a long line of health issues, and with that in mind, the risk is just to obscene.\n\nI am a woman. The fact that laws are being stripped away from us by old white men who have no idea what it is like to be a woman in the states is horrifying. \n\nGun culture. It’s near-on impossible or at least it’s incredibly difficult to get guns here. Owning guns isn’t respected. When people die from being shot, it’s remembered and spoken about, even years later. At least to me, it seems you care more for your Guns and the rights to own and use them, then Women who want to have bodily autonomy.\n\nYour political issues. I'm in my 50's and have thought about it many times. My dad is from NY but now in Florida. Several things that bother , me include your attempt at healthcare ( if you take care of one person you take care of ALL of them - you don't Cherry Pick), your gun issues (just because you have the RIGHT to bear arms, doesn't mean you have to), women's healthcare, Jeez, it's the woman's body not a guys body, so stay out of a woman's rights and body unless you happen to be her gyno. Curious as to why you immediately bailed on the whole issue of vanishing rights for women in the US? I can't even imagine being a woman of child bearing age or the mother of a daughter who could end up with an unwanted pregnancy. I would be leaving ASAP. I'm retired, so work wouldn't be an issue. I have health issues so for that alone I wouldn't. If I was healthy and independently wealthy I would move somewhere with better weather. I'm a hermit so I just avoid people anyways. LOL

I have travelled to the USA for20 years.I have enjoyed so many cities. However, if I didn't have to travel to the USA ( I have family) I wouldn't. There are too many mass shootings, School shootings, too many guns. Watching women rights return to the 1800’s is horrifying. To me it appears that rights are being taken away. Your Supreme Court is corrupt. What is going on with their politics? It's getting very ugly. Finally, our healthcare system has issues, but if you get sick, it's here. I would never live in the USA.

I'd move to the Alaskan Panhandle but nowhere else in US. Its just a short ferry ride back to Canads for medical issues. I like the US second amendment. Alaska is spsrsely populared like Canads and I hate crowds.

On the gun issue, I'm not sure that american people really understand the second Amendment. With a 7B $ Armed forces budget and the fact that Indepedance war againts Britain is over for more than 200 years there is no need anymore for the 2nd Amendment. In Canada, we don't have any equivalent article in our Constitution and I'm very happy about it. Some people should meditate on the subject.

I am retired and my health issues won't allow me to. I don't have employer insurance or even private insurance any more, But I feel I am getting the best care I can get. I see my family doctor regularly every 3-4 months. My prescription drugs are covered, I get grants for my medical conditions. Also with the crime rate, mass murders, and the dangerous political divisions in the country, I have no reason to move to the US. I just feel safer in Canada. Not to mention the corrupt Supreme Court that is impacting on people's lives by taking away rights that people fought for years to obtain.

HUURR DUUURRR insurance through job. Moron. Health issues frequently lead to employers firing you. Which kills your insurance. Which bankrupts you. Your system is dumb, stop defending it, stop accepting it.

So I work for a us company. I have for 5 years. in my industry, tech, pay scale is a lot more positive in the states than Canada. I have been offered several times, to have my move paid for, visas and all that jazz, and I still haven't made the jump. \n\nMy salary is also comfortable enough to afford health care, and I still haven't moved. I don't think Americans realize how poor their insurance is. Also have health issues in general.\n\nI also participate in sports that cause injuries (notice I implied I will definitely get injured). I would not want to have American coverage, in fact how do Americans financially justify casual sport activity.\n\nI won't go into political differences. It's extremely nuanced and an extremely interesting conversation. I don't like the Dems very much and the repubs are even worse. \n\nAll of this said it's always on my mind. Its a consideration but seems unlikely. Arizona/Utah/Colorado are my jam. Would love to be there, if it was Canada.

My answer, HELL NO! Born and raised on the west coast. Used to travel to the states, but I doubt I will be visiting any time in the future. Guns violence and human rights issues just don't make me want to visit.

As a Canadian, I won’t even travel in the US let alone move there. Why? One big reason is the daily mass shootings and the ridiculous number of guns in the US. Plus, your health care system. Letting an insurance company decide which treatment I should get? Going bankrupt due to a serious illness? No thanks! Almost 10 years ago now my husband and I each had serious health issues that required hospital stays. We got excellent care and it didn’t cost us a penny more than what we’ve paid in taxes. I’m sticking with the true North strong and free.

Uvalde is a small town in Texas. As someone who has daughters and a granddaughter I would never move to ANY place that tried to dictate my or their medical choices over reproductive issues.

So as a Canadian, you don’t quite have the perspective that we do from up here, the batshit-crazy political mess is from coast to coast, everywhere I’ve seen from the US, from local politics up through to federal politics they all skew to support crony capitalism (by comparison), accept religious Christian (or Mormon) fundamentalism, and generally are extremely undemocratic by comparison to what we are used to here in Canada. Don’t get me wrong, we definitely have our faults, but it’s everywhere in the US and a whole order of magnitude or more. Up here it’s bad enough we have to deal with the blowback and seepage of some of these bat-shit crazy views like the anti-abortion issue , extreme gun rights, science denialism, and anti-LGBTQ2+ nut jobs.

Absolutely not. We won't even visit the US anymore. We live in Canada and Mexico and try our best to not even have a layover there. My parents used to go to Yuma for 6 months and now go to mexico because they feel safer there. I grew up with many health issues and we would be bankrupt even with health insurance. And then my pregnancies from what i heard from other women with my condition it would have been at least $10000. I love my health care, female reproductive rights, gun safety and NO TRUMP
