Canada used to be a great country. I have a very hard time saying that it is today. The government focuses on the wrong issues and taxes it's people to death. There was a time when $100k used to get you somewhere. Nowadays, it gets you a modest house mortgage, and one vehicle with just enough left over to put some food on the table.

Of course most people that make money go to the US to make even more money, but it’s only the top percent of our society. For lower social classes, they are happy to live in Canada because of all the advantages they have compared to the US.

As the world demand increases for rare earth metals, copper, aluminium, steel, nickel, etc Canada is well-positioned to supply world markets. Canadian mining companies operate worldwide and the Canadian miners are both very experienced and good operators. \n You failed to acknowledge that Canada is a major agricultural producer country. I think Canada economy is not as flawed as this video propose. Instead I would say that Canada as develop a strange equilibrium by surfing on the American economy. As a Canadian I’m thankful to have grown up in such a great place. But it still bothers me to how little our growth has been. Canada has every tool required to be a fully self sustained global powerhouse. Yet nothing has been done to achieve this goal

The problem with Canada is that the entire economy consists of passing property deeds around. Nobody wants to invest in such an unfriendly business environment. There's no competition in so many sectors of Canadian society. Life is difficult and hopeless for many Canadians.

And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work
