So what is the incentive for someone to try to get Canadian citizenship if they don't actually want to live here? Is it for criminals to have an exit strategy, or maybe to have a Canadian passport to protect their rights if they get caught committing crimes in China?
2019-03-16 0
If you feel rejected maybe it's because you came without being invited or filling out the paperwork for asylum or immigration before you came. We want people to do things legally and pay taxes like we do so of course we don't like it when people work under the table and not put back into the community they are getting so much from

Go home!!! Didn't bother to become a US citizen for 15 years, didn't bother to learn English, then came to Canada hoping we'll welcome him with open arms and a nice free house to live in. Piss off, maybe in your next life you'll try harder to be a legitimate citizen in the country you choose to live.

Maybe he would like jail better
2019-02-23 0
He's been there how long, maybe try learning English. You know what they say, when in Rome,

Maybe ice is watching

The matter of the fact is that Canada is become a joke in the worldwide world. If you see all the scandals of of people scamming in all different ways [birth citizenships, mules bringing aliens, criminals fleeing via their consulate etc & etc] This guy got 2 years but he has 10 millions maybe hidden in the Bahamas, so was it worth it??

They are not immigrants, they are just buying a insurance policy illegally of course. Those people never wanted to live in this country, their optimal goal is buying a Canadian passport (in case of need) without even visiting Canada.\nMost reported Chinese Canadian immigrants are like this, I knew few, they visited Cananda maybe twice in the last 10 years, or some max once a year (for a two weeks summer holiday). They just have money, and they heard from guys like above they can just buy some rights.

Imagine if those ghost immigrants were some kind of a threat to the Canadian society. Nobody would have noticed it while there were so much harm was done - maybe not physical but intellectual and stuff. Bravo to the immigration office(r) that noticed the pattern and reported it.

Penalty is 7 Years and $900,000 fine but he profitted over $10 mil. Maybe this is the way to the Canadian dream!
2019-02-01 0
So if I understand this correctly, the scheme is to allow Chinese citizens to keep or maintain a Canadian PR while living in China, because technically they don't really want to live in Canada for the time being (maybe in the future)?

12 TB data? maybe he have problems with deleting the ISO that he have *wink*
2019-02-01 0
Maybe the Canadian officials were high.
2019-01-31 0
Well if Canada didn’t make it hard to become a citizen maybe wang wouldn’t have pull the wool over your eyes ?
2019-01-31 0
Millionaire immigrants are what Trump wants, maybe try the US instead!
2019-01-31 0
Maybe confiscating ALL the assets ,profits and loosing citizen ship/deportation would be a better deterrent rather than a 900K fine and jail?

If the RCMP is wise, they should employ dozens, maybe hundreds of legal Chinese immigrants who put in their time and effort to become 100% legit immigrants, and use them, to uncover these frauds.\n\nThere is a strong Chinese sense of loyalty to the law, and if the RCMP were smart, they would use these assets and people, who would likely be more than willing to help, root out these criminals.
2019-01-27 2
Maybe Canada immigration should hire more people who can get the job done, obviously there is a lot of work to be done. Why just go after the big fish, go after all of those who commit fraud. The Chinese know it’s a joke to deal with Canada immigration.

Maybe these people should question their own religion instead of submitting to it blindly.

Good for Steven Harper ... Maybe He will kick Trueno right in the Balls !!

Both my grandparents are legal immigrants, took them a while but they wanted to do it right, not only did they legally immigrate here, they wanted to be citizens, and did what they had to do to become citizens...this guy spends 15 years in the U. S. flying under the radar the whole time with his family to boot...maybe he should have rubbed shoulders with Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck!....or better yet he should have donated his hard earned 15k to one of them or at least the DNC I'm sure they'd have found a BS way to justify his status then.

This is not true. And now that the Government of Canada has hid it, I can no longer prove it. However, not only did my MP admit that they get close to 2500 dollars per month for the first year and sometimes longer. They are automatically authorized for a loan. And hey, 50,000 for a family is enough for a downpayment, while we can sit here working all our lives and never be able to buy a house. But they are automatically authorized. So the question is, why is it profittable to bring in refugees? Maybe if the government gave me 50,000 or 2500 per month, and or they gave me easier loans....I would have already been profiting Canada in many ways. Other than trying to work hard and when I can't get a job, because I am not part of a minority group, collecting ei or assistance and never getting anywhere in my life.

Maybe $50000 is just pocket change for her but how about for the rest of us who has to work for a living ?
2018-11-08 0
maybe learn english and tell the truth why you want to come here
2018-11-06 0
Learn language.... maybe .....

Some confusing parts to this story. He seems determined to stay but is not necessarily going about it the right way. Is this man representative of all El Salvadorians - no. Is he representative of some behaviours more generally - maybe.
2018-11-05 0
Maybe spend 200 on English lessons and show you want a change
2018-11-04 0
Maybe not have 2 kids and a wife to take care of if you can't afford it

Just imagine we heard this immigrant's sad story regarding just wanting a better life for his family. Some people will feel some compassion and say screw you Trudeau or Trump, let them all in, they just want to work, they are not criminals, screw laws, we are all immigrants here blah, blah blah. Let's not forget there are thousands and thousands maybe millions that has the same sad story and the same dream. If Canada don't build a wall, it will end up like America and have all sorts of immigration issues.
2018-11-02 0
Lesson of the story? Don't break a countries laws by entering illegally and then expecting the system to coddle you - try filling out the papers, wait your turn in line and do what you can while you wait, maybe work to improve your home country? That is the only real answer to all these immigration problems, stop blaming the country and peoples you slighted by breaking their laws and take personal responsibility. If you want to roll the dice, sometimes your going to lose.

I don't know what Sharia Law/ Islam is all about to hate it that much. We have Muslims in our country. At least around 20% of the population. Maybe more than Australia... but there are as many different interpretation of Islam and Sharia Law, as the Bible and Christian denominations. What you probably have is the Radical Extremist type.... The type that doesn't accept differences in culture and the population they are in. They are the minority who wants to have the majority rule... We also have problems with Radical Islam and majority of the Muslim population in my country does not accept them that much. There are certainly discrimination against Muslim, but not as much as most western countries does. My advise is to not to generalize Muslims as one type of people. There are people in that community that does not believe in extremist interpretation of the law. Second, deport or watch radical extremist as they are dangerous to any multicultural society, like the white supremacist and Neo- Nazis in the US. Some of them are citizens. Deporting your own citizen to a different country is far-fetched. Third, accept them as part of a sub- culture, having their own ways within their group, yet under the laws of the nation they are living. The way they dress, polygamy, and women's rights are just some issues that Westerners usually cringe about. But there are other religions who practice these as well. Lastly, stop hating each other because your hate will empower extremism. \nReligion is either you are born with it until you are old/ mature enough to choose or an independent choice.

Lol maybe it's me, but being shamed for being drunk and wearing short skirts it's not ecxacly what I'd call sharia.\nNot something I would consider a national security issue, people talking about killing all of them is.

maybe if i disguise myself as black i could get someone at best buy to help me

Maybe some women don't really want to be free? Making choices in real life is too much brain power anyways.

Great experiment. Shocking results from Canada. U.S., maybe, yes, but not Canada. I am Caucasian from the U.S. It might be subtle, but it's still there. Not good! The subtle racists are more threatening, in my opinion, because you cannot spot them right away. This is a very eye-opening experience. Thanks for sharing.

Refugees are supposed to stop in the first country they can. El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, USA, Canada. Did they get turned down three times before arriving in Canada? Or did they want to shop for the best deal? Now I might possibly have been convinced to be somewhat sympathetic. Maybe. Until this guy ducked an appointment and went and hid in another province. Put him on a boat back to El Salvador. Dump him out on the dock when it gets there.

Asylum is the new word for maybe they will buy it.\nAm i missing something?\nAre there humans being sacrificed by the Mayans again or something?\nI don't think people can seek Asylum if there government dosn't give a shit about them, or i would seek Asylum in Paraguay.\nSo why Asylum?\nIt's simply i wont bother doing it the right way and just try to do my business illegally in the United States!!\nOOPS!! Maybe i need to move now?\nYou are always going to fly under the radar when you are here illegally, your pay will always be at rock bottom shit.\nDo you want your children to deal with that when they find out?\nOr are you just using them for your own subconscious gain?

Not all punjabis have relatives in Brampton or Canada or other immigrant flooded countries.\n\nMaybe they and their ancestors are happy the way they are in punjab or maybe they are skilled enough to make more money than Canada in India\n\nOur all bullshit video

He would have been better off starting the LEGAL process of becoming a U.S. citizen 15 years ago. And maybe at least try to assimilate and learn the language. It would have helped him tremendously.

Illegal w/$15K is now illegal in another country. Fly to Mexico, maybe his crocodile tears will let officials grant him asylum in Mexico. Adios Jose! Illegal is illegal and against the law.

Unless the guys went in at the same time, this isn't completely fair to those clerks either. You don't know if the store manager just announced a contest to see who could ring the most sales. Or if the clerks were told that there were secret shoppers coming in so to make sure you greet everyone. Or, a manager who's just an a-h who has a burr under his saddle about everyone being greeted & helped. God help you if one of his friends comes in & you're the only one that didn't say something. And that survey? Totally stilted! You can make any survey say anything you want or nothing at all. If it doesn't take all of a person's life experience into it, it means nothing. The apt. thing? The 1st guy stood back from the desk & directed his question towards someone at the back of the office. The 2nd guy walked up as she was clearing her desk & she greeted him in a friendly way & the 3rd guy looked as if he walked right up to the desk & leaned in. So, where's the problem? Maybe on the way the guys presented themselves? This is typical media stirring the pot.

Like Jose tons of migrants had choosed the canadian west for its wealth (oil) but its a trap cause AB is at the same time the hardest on inmigration matters. \nIm pritty sure if he would come first to Quebec or maybe Ontario he will be permanent resident by now.#goodluckjose

Maybe they oughtta try Britain. Only this time, claim they are followers of the Islamic faith. Everyone will be so terrified of being accused of racism, they'll be allowed to stay.
2018-08-05 0
Boo hoo . Can't even speak English yet , maybe we should just send him and family home to Salvador. Broke rules all along the way . Had enough .no more sympathy for this kind of story

I can't tell if a 12 year old thought of this idea or a prime minister of Canada. Maybe a little bit of the second and more of the first.
