When I first moved to San Diego I would go to Mexico I love going but over time it got unsafe back in 1985 I wish the borders we're made secure then. This should have been done years ago makes me wonder why it wasn't? the poor people many of them are so desperate but always with a good comes the bad?

Oh man! Everybody is entering in mass, but when I immigrated to the USA, at first, I had to wait for about 8 years to come legally+ 5 years to become a US citizen. Had a lot of paperwork to issue, and it wasn't free at all. I paid a lot of money. I bet most of them do not need any asylum.

I just wanna say a big thank you to Uncle Joe Burden. Since I office my 400 cousins have managed to get into the USA and have all got a nice blue T shirt, a cell phone and some 100 dollar bills. Some of em got free transport to wherever they like to go. So nice of uncle Joe. About 13 of my cousins have even got jobs already in government institutions. What a blessing. Thank you Joe Burden. Unfortunately tho this country will be toast in less that 10 years. Oh well, we better enjoy it while we can right. Anyway my Uncle Joe says it's all his grand idea, but I know he doesn't even know which ice cream he's eating today. They all need to be vetted correctly. Stand in line and wait your turn and be ready to go back if your economic assylum doesnt pan out. Running from the cartel isn't really considered a true assylum. They are not running from a war or running from a toltalterian government most of them know already they will get denied so they try to ram through our border. America has fought HARD for centuries to achieve freedom. We’ve shed infinite amounts of blood for the rights we have. Freedom isn’t free. It takes centuries to get to that. People think it sucks to have to spend ten years becoming a legal citizen here, well count yourself lucky that you didn’t have to shed any blood, lose any family members, fight against an oppressive enemy for your rights, or lose your house in a battle for a free country. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look up American history. Count how many battles were fought; how many wars; how many people died; how many Americans became POW’s on our own land during the Civil War. Look how hard it’s been. Look how hard it is now. We never stop fighting for what we want. Freedom takes work. America isn’t some island paradise. It never has been. We all live on the same earth. We all experience hardship. And there’s no amount of money, illegal border crossing, or anything else that can keep us from that harsh reality. In life we’re going to suffer. That’s just how it is. Stop thinking that illegally crossing a border is somehow going to solve all problems. It won’t. The grass isn’t greener on the other side just because. Bloodshed makes that grass green: Sacrifice. Hard, laborious work; and centuries of time.

I've worked in the construction industry for 35 plus years. Mexicans come here and take our jobs. everyday you see only Mexicans on job sites. illegal? probably!\nour big companies is the problem...don't hire them.. hire only American and you will see the surge slow way down. push them back into their own country. they don't like it when we go to their country. but we will see this just like every other time. they will be here taking our heath care our jobs our lifes

When you say that Canada is more liberal than America, for who, though? They are not more liberal for blacks they are more liberal for the white race, period. Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. It’s time other countries take advantage and advance as well ??

Actually, Edmonton Alberta is one of the most staunch conservative ( republican) parts of Canada. I have lived in a neighboring province for more than 60 years now and have observed them vote in conservative governments for all but about 10 of those years.

Took me 6 years, ridiculous amount of fees, pass a test and interview just to become a citizen. And these illegals come here and get free housing and help from the government while the legal immigrants had to work our butts off just to afford to pay for the process to become citizens so yeah, its unfair and honestly pisses me off too.

If these people are so keen to leave other countries and demand to be let into the USA then the logical solution is to bring the USA to them. If >2% of a given nations population demands entry at the border in a given year then the USA can begin annexing said countries land on a proportional basis. Maybe the leadership in said countries will try harder to improve conditions there.

I live in Calgary, Alberta 3 hours from Edmonton and what she is saying been a fact. WS especially feel slighted with the heavy immigration yearly as if they are being pushed out or replaced. I mostly do gig work so I don't have to deal with job market as is. They have alot of immigrants with 1 or 2 degrees working security, house cleaning with no way out and paying taxes to sustain their aging Canadian Caucasian population (45-80 year old) . It is in my opinion your typical ponzi scheme type hustle. The good paying jobs are given to them folks while you import highly educated populations from other countries and keep them at dead-end jobs like the US.

Ive been working my ass off to pay for my documents for legality, paid taxes yearly and just comply to whatever is needed for immigration. Now im a US citizen. And this people just think they can just walked in without legal papers pisses me off. Come on people we all have different struggles in life, but we have to do the right thing! Even if youre inside the US you cannot have a decent job and no company is gonna accept you if you dont have legal papers. Therefore you cannot open a bank account and you cannot build your credit and get a place to stay. Theres too many homeless here already. Just do the right thing! The govt cannot save you all.
