Thanks for making this video, first off. It was interesting to see an American perspective on both nations. \nIf I decided to leave Canada, I would probably move to Germany, or the UK, never the United States.

British Columbia is gorgeous! You only showed cities like Vancouver and Victoria and completely missed the beautiful 'wide open spaces', the beauties of places like Banff, Lake Louise, the National Parks, the famous ski hills, the northern province where living is less expensive, the Rockies, the amazing wildlife, the Okanagan (Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton, where people are flocking to live) with colorful Kalamalka Lake, International airports, great winter snow sports and summer water sports, fishing and hunting, goldpanning, Entertainment centers, job opportunities--Construction never slowed down for a second during Covid in Kelowna. B.C., a beautiful place to live! And remember--'Life is what YOU make it'! By the way, you never mentioned the Oil in Alberta, which makes it a pretty independently wealthy province!!

No we are not a better America. We have a sane country, no guns, no militarized police, a democracy, a parliamentary form of government and a King as our Head of State. A Trump would be impossible up here. We elect a party not a leader. One non-confidence in parliament and our Vice Regent, the Governor General would inform the King and parliament would be closed for a new election. We also have no ridiculous nearly 250-year-old Constitution. Our Consitution is based upon the British North American Act. We can revise it anytime with the Governor General's permission (and the King's). We are a peaceful nation and do not think like Americans. But I'd travel in the North East US. America''s fixation with patriotism is nauseating.

I like your national parks. And I like the variety of ecosystems. Still not enough to get me to move though. As others said, the US has dysfunctional health care, dysfunctional religious groups/politicians trying to impose their beliefs on everyone, and dysfunctional gun laws, not to mention being less free.

What is the National guard for

The US has had 57 times as many school shootings as the other major industrialized nations combined. And it isn't just schools that get shot up. Think about how disgusting that is, how absolutely insane. COMBINED!

I use to live and work in the USA , and I really enjoyed my time there . I'm First Nations Indigenous , the biggest thing that I noticed for me being Native , I felt more love and less prejudiced in the USA , many Canadians , I said this to be very surprising , mind you, I'm talking from a Native perspective and I have many Black Americans that live in Canada felt the complete opposite to my feelings. I also liked the better pay because of less taxes too but my diabetes and chronic pain and the cost of living with diabetes ultimately made me decide to move back to Canada , and being Native , the health care and all associated costs with chronic pain and life long diabetes care is totally free for me , being a First Nations Native Canadian ❤

The usa is number one in gun deaths. Since 1953 103,000 service members have died during war. In the past 3 years over 150,000 civilians have died from guns in their own country. usa is a nightmare country to move to. Of the 30+ first world nations that have national healthcare usa isn’t on that list. How fucked up is that?

I ‘ve met so many Americans on trips and through living in San Francisco for 3 months for a course. They were very kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable people. I also love many beautiful places in the States. I find though, that the media ignores Canada to a great degree only reporting negative issues . I don’t care for the super nationalism of the government, the gun laws, the many wars they’ve been involved in, nor do I like the racism and the present divisiveness of the country given that a person like Trump could be voted in and have so much power! That is frightening! I could never have afforded my two hip and knee replacements as well as other surgeries and the birth of four children had I lived there consequently, I would make friends with Americans who move here withthe same principles, but no to moving to the United States OF America.I was happy to return to beautiful Vancouver Island, (which was voted one of the top Islands in the world by CNN, Time magazine and Conde Nast, )

I would not, could not, EVER accept that some @$$hat felt the need to open carry any calibre of weapon to stand in line to order a soft ice cream. \n\nTyler, do you have any idea how obscene this image is to people from anywhere else in the world? We have small towns, too…they like things to stay the same.

I live in Canada and would never move to the US. MAGA republicans scare me. Though I do think Americans can be very proud of their ability to support nations like Ukraine in their fight for freedom. Well done USA!

I would not consider moving to the states for any reason, but my reason at this point is that I’m terminally ill and disabled and I can’t even get travel insurance to be able to visit my family there. My mother’s family are all Americans. I had a lot of fun visiting them in my late teens, back in the early 90’s but now I wouldn’t even drive across the border to go shopping. Well, I do go across the border to Alaska, because that’s just an hour away, but Alaska is very different from the continental United States. And I only go to Skagway for the afternoon to get fish and chips. I welcome Americans to Canada with open arms, but I have zero desire to ever live or visit there. One at a time, on my terms, in my country, Americans are great, but your nation is falling apart at the seams. I don’t feel safe there at all.

I don't know if you know this Tyler but America just hit its final hour, 250 years is the expiration date for empires and your United States just hit that mark. Plus have you seen the way Canadians have socialized systems that give us a high quality of life. Glad you mentioned racism: Canada is a ewhite nation because it destroyed the original indigenous population and i am amongst those that believes its far too late to change now. We nearly succeeded. Starting to protect other colours now and accept immigrants of other colors is a mistake. I think it's the fact that places that you even consider safe in the states, turn out not to be safe. Uvalde, Tx, Newtown, CT & Parkland, Fl, are all 35,000 or less population. Would you have expected school shootings in either of those places? Uvalde has a crime rate lower than the national average. Newtown has one of the lowest crime rates in all of america. Parkland Florida is lower than the national average. So... ??

I lived in MA for 17 years. I liked it and have many friends from there. I would go back, but yes, the healthcare would stop me. Getting older, needing more medical intervention. Not having to worry about healthcare costs is easy. I also said that the US was one step away from being behind the iron curtain. There is not the same freedoms there as there is here in Canada. The media controls the nation. Too much news. Not so here.\n\nWhile in Florida recently, my friends granddaughter was in a mall hiding from an active shooter. She was calm, I was hysterical.

You're proud of your country. \n\nAs a Canadian, I always felt the difference in basic attitudes between our countries may stem from our history of gaining national independence.\n\nYou all fought tooth and nail and are still immensely proud of that accomplishment. \n\nWe negotiated over time. It stands to reason our society would develop into one more invested in peace and negotiation, and even a deeper sense of social responsibility to our fellow citizens' welfare.\n\nI know of many different reasons why I love your country, enjoy visiting, and am glad we are neighbours. But to live in the US would take a change in my deeply ingrained sense of identity that I'm not willing to give up. \n\nI think you'll find even the Americans who joke about moving to Canada woukd find it similarly difficult to change their feelings. \n\nThank you for your interesting and respectful content. I have visited the US several times when I was growing up. Been to many States. Out of all the states I've been to, my favourite was Tennessee. But would I move there? Heck no. There is way to much violence for me. Plus the health care in Canada won't bankrupt you. I also don't like the fact that the US's economy is based mostly around wars. As soon as their dollar starts to tank, they are involved in another war. I think that is why most other Nations prefer Canadians over Americans.

I spent a lot of time in the States as a child, mostly in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It was fun on the beach, going to Disneyland and it was nice staying with relatives and swimming in their pool everyday in the summer. However, I am Canadian and my heart belongs to Canada. Despite the fact that we as a nation do have our imperfections and problems, I am loyal to my country and want to contribute whatever I can to this place. Plus of course, there are the myriad aspects of life in the US mentioned in the video that I wouldn't be able to tolerate: lack of reproductive rights, attacks on the LGBTQ community, lack of safety/gun violence, no universal health care etc.

Hell yes. I'd move back in an instant. I used to live in the US with my American wife. Coming back to Canada we enjoyed nothing but expense, no rights, a lot of restrictions and now it's becoming like communist China. Love it or hate it America is the last place on earth that has real rights backed up by a real constitution. And you can enjoy any locale not just a few mile strip across the Canadian wet, frozen or scorching nation. People that think the US is bad are deluded and probably leftist, anti-Trumpers, think that the Canadian health care system is free and you have a choice.
