I clicked on this expecting some right-wing Trudeau-bashing, and I was pleased to see it’s actually a fairly objective, non-partisan discussion. \n\nOne thing it doesn’t mention, though, is that conservative provincial governments in Canada are sitting on $70 billion in health care funding supplied by the federal government. They are deliberately allowing their health care systems to deteriorate. They have done the same with federal housing funding, to the point where the federal government is now making deals directly with cities to supply new housing. \n\nAnd, those rising housing prices, for better or worse, have made a lot of Canadian homeowners and landlords very wealthy. THEY certainly don’t want to see housing get more affordable.

It's all part of Trudeau's big plan. Bringing in voter's. Next thing you know all these people comimg in will be aloud to vote.

Great video man, Ive lived in Canada all my life and its really getting scary up here. The government has failed us and its the people who continue to vote Trudeau in office doing it to them. Arguably I think those who voted for him in 2021 again are no better than the party itself. We as a country desperately need change.

Politics are like a pendulum. In my youth the right was largely the unreasonable voice; strong conservative policies derived in part by religious values that didn’t mesh with more progressive mainstream views. There was also a small but perceivable undertone of anti-imigration and racist sentiment in Canada's rural areas. Now the pendulum has swung far to the left. Now the extremists are on the left, killing free speech, mandating bodily harm, and cramming a nonsensical woke ideology down our throats. The voice of reason is now right of center. If I had to compare the two I would say that the current left ideology has been far more damaging. I hope that the next election will be the start of a new Canadian renaissance and that the pendulum doesn't swing too far to the right. No single politician has done more to destroy Canadian pride, economics, and world standing than Justin Trudeau.

Thank Trudeau and its diversity. This will happen more and more.

Our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, thought refugees / immigration were a good idea. Now we, and them, are homeless. Smart thinking PM ?\nI totally agree with Peter... everything he said.\nAnd safe injection is not making the city safe to walking around in.\nAnd rent is so high, in May I will be homeless because I had enough to buy a condo but real estate went up SO MUCH, I cannot, now, afford one. The homeless problem has become way worse over the years. Canada has become way too expensive to live with the outrageous prices in rent, heat, hydro, food, property taxes it’s bloody outrageous. Ppl loose their jobs and find they can’t afford to pay their rents and mortgages along with all the other bills if they can’t find another job right away. And companies are to hire minority over white ppl. A white male in Ontario, forget about it. White ppl have become minority now in the work force. Absolutely the cost of living has caused the homeless problem to sky rocket. As far as the system it’s true that the system takes care of foreigners first over Canadians. I remember many years ago I tried to get student assistance to take courses and I was rejected because I lived with a parent, the person on the other end of the phone told me strait out if I was a foreigner I’d of gotten the assistance, and this was way before Trudeau was in the picture!!!

Trudeau made this place look like the promise land for refugees and international students. Most of them cant afford rent now, and want to go back home. Homeless Canadians can't find enough shelters. Our tax dollars are going to useless foreign military and carbon tax instead of sheltering the homeless and supporting our vets. \nCanadian retirement is going up to for 75 years old now.

I rarely see comments open on CBC... there must be a reason... hmmmm The fact that the Trudeau government (who owns CBC) is looking for an opinion means that it is FINALLY getting through to them that when immigration outpaces available housing you get a problem... when you do it by margins of millions of people you get a CATASTROPHY! EACH and EVERY new immigrant beyond the limits compounds the problem and if the Trudeau government does not stop it will destroy the Canadian economy if it hasn't already.
