CNN, your story is completely incorrect in every possible way. These are migrants which make them eligible for entrance into Canada to be evaluated. The police are informing them that the procedure is to be arrested and then they are lead through an evaulation process where they are assessed or denied refugee status. \n That is how refugees are supposed to be treated according to the 1951 Refugee Convention of the UN that Canada AND THE US not only signed but drew up. Nothing is in the Convention that says separating familiies is legitmate treatment, as has been done at the US southern border. \n It's OK CNN. I'm used to your feckless approach to journalism.
2023-03-20 0
Wow... cnn is on it. Glad they make it clear that it's not OK to cross into Canada but it's cool to cross into the USA... lame.. good job guys and gal and pronouns

If Canada wants to boost immigration. Allow permanent residents to join the armed forces. And be truly multi-cultural. \nWouldn’t it make sense for the olive branch?

Fleeing America to cross in Canada ????
2023-03-20 0
US and Canada will be completely destroyed by this uncontrolled influx of illegals. Sad to see such great countries like that.
2023-03-20 0
Canada is going to get all the good immigrants. ?
2023-03-20 0
The populations of the United States and Canada are about to start rising
2023-03-20 0
Good luck Canada
2023-03-20 0
Crime rate will increase in Canada. \n\nThis is so stupidly unfair to legal migrants working their ass for proper documents, paying loads of cash, and being scrutinized just to enter canada.

Land of opportunity, Canada no longer the US.

2023-03-19 0
Canada way better than the US
2023-03-19 0
You couldn’t pay me to live in Canada
2023-03-18 0
As a Canadian citizen (born and raised) those migrants from New York should move overseas (AKA our nextdoor overseas neighbour UK/EU). Canada is dealing with crisis right now (not only caused by not only both our Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and our Canadian Premier Doug Ford but also the Russian President that started the war that screwed up Canadian gas prices). \n\nWhat Americans hear about Canada is a split 50/50. Yeah Canada has free health care. But when you reach 25+ you have to pay your own.. unless you have insurance. Also in the province where I live tax percentage here is DANG 13%. It's DANG expensive because Canadian dollar is not as strong as the big 4 (USD/UK Pounds/Europe Euros/Japan Yen). The only province that pays little-to-none taxes is the province of Alberta Canada.\n\nAll-in-all I advise migrants that live in US: DO NOT live in Canada because Canada is a sh*t country. And you'll be screwed by both the Trudeau and Doug Ford Government.

2023-03-18 0
Who cares let them all go to Canada!
2023-03-18 0
Having lived in the US for sometime I can confidently tell you that Canada by far has a better quality of life than the US . \nThe US is just overrated .\nWelcome to Canada the land of hope !❤???
2023-03-18 0
A lot of them want to go to Canada. U.S is the buffer zone. Canada should help with border costs
2023-03-18 0
reminds me of the formerly enslaved Africans that couldn't find freedom in America and had to take the Underground Railroad to Canada!
2023-03-18 0
People wait years for work or PR visa and pay thousands, and these people just cross a road and done. Canada should go for more quality immigration.
2023-03-18 0
Don’t come to Canada. You won’t be able to afford a house. Good luck finding a place to rent. If you do find a place to rent I hope you making some big money or else your sharing a place with other people, doesn’t that sound fun? Oyeah, 10$ for a bag of lettuce and 1.60$ a litre of fuel, good luck.
2023-03-18 0
That easy damn…. We college graduate had been working big companies in middle east and japan struggle to apply in canada just for visit visa .. and even spend our money just denied. Thats unfair canada.
2023-03-18 0
Enjoy, Canada! ???
2023-03-18 0
Why come to Canada everything is 2X more expensive here.
2023-03-18 0
Canada is the easiest first world country in the world to migrate to legally and these fools still try to cross illegally
2023-03-18 0
This is not fair to the people who apply to enter Canada legally.
2023-03-18 0
Trudeau the ultimate destroyer of Canada?
2023-03-18 0
That’s strange. Canada contacts my wife and I all the time asking if we would like to move to there. We live in Ohio. They will find us a place, pay moving expenses, food and the strangest thing $1.2 million to start with. Before any of you start trolling and running your mouth due to jealousy, Yea it’s 100% legit. Reason being my wife is a pediatrician and I designed the first muscle car to run on hydrogen. We always decline.
2023-03-18 0
Why dont they stay in Canada too
2023-03-18 0
Ive paid more than $12 thousand with visa during the last 4 years here, in order to work legally in canada, and this people just gonna cross the boarder from NY???! This is so frustrating and unacceptable
2023-03-17 0
I wouldn't surprize if those migrants will cross canada-arctica border in future?
2023-03-17 0
So into Canada is illegal, but NOT into America?
2023-03-17 0
Good news let Canada deal with this problem
2023-03-17 0
I love Canada and Canadians ❤
2023-03-17 0
In my opinion , this is very unfair for us Filipinos who tried and want to migrate in Canada, wherein we have to apply legally, spend a lot of dollars and gather our documents just to be accepted in the country or a visa, especially for International students.
2023-03-17 0
Omg! We have enough being brought into Canada. They need to get theses dirty people out of our country. It used to be so beautiful here.
2023-03-17 0
I went to Canada as a student and never again I paid a lot of fees, I received a very disrespectful and abusive behavior from school and I spent a lot of money with insurance, lawyer etc but the illegal immigrants receiving courses for free, money monthly, free insurance etc so ..... difficult to understand
2023-03-16 0
Canada is very large and empty almost so welcome Folks ?
2023-03-16 0
Canada isn’t a cheap place to live. Cold half the year. I’m Canadian trying to secure a half decent bag to live in South America! How ironic!
2023-03-16 0
Flocking to Canada is nothing but waste of time
2023-03-16 0
Dont ask about 2A Right in Canada?
2023-03-16 0
Why from NY to Canada\nI d understand\nUsa is first choice of any legal or illegal immigrants
2023-03-15 29
Gonna be very difficult for them to survive in Canada. Super expensive to live there due to relatively low salaries, extremely high housing costs, high daily expenses, high taxes etc. With these dynamics it's even more expensive than living in SF or NYC. I worked in Toronto and am from NYC so I know.

Once you get into Canada, free Welfare for life. Even if you get a job you still get access to all the services provided within for subsidization, etc. Government transit passes, subsidized housing, carbon tax funding, food bank access where if you have a family you get way better food than single folks (cakes etc.), lots of child support, credit to attend community centers (swimming pool, etc.), paid tuition and the list goes on.
