These people aren't coming to Canada because they have nowhere else to, they're coming because they prefer to live in Canada over anywhere else. That does not constitute a necessity as their lives are no longer in danger once they leave their homes in South America, Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.

I live in El Paso. The migrants hate have been on the streets of El Paso for months during the cold winter. They are scared, angry, tired an feel unwelcome. How ever us as citizens cannot help as they should be. Without the help of States government.

As someone from Asia who lives with a comfortable life I guess I’m privileged enough than most people who live on the other part of the world. But still, I can never understand why people force themselves illegally. They can just go through legal process, I’m sure there are other ways. This will never happen here in our part of the world. It’s easier to spot who is not one of us. If you want to move to a new country, do it LEGALLY.

Go through the refugge application properly or get sent back. You cannot tell people that they have to go through a rigourous immigration application all for this to be a loophole. \nThe Canadian government has already exploited the real estate market as a comodity to the point that people cannot afford to live where they work.

I understand these people trying to find a suitable place to live. However, social cohesion is already an issue, amongst other things. We can't just accept anyone in until we fix our issues

If you want to live off the system and for free just move to canada

Where i live in canada , i have a lot of these people in my neighborhood , they are a disgrace to canada , they are nothing but a problem for people in my neighborhood . Why do people want to migrate so badly? Why not just visit the other country for a while and go home? Embrace your culture. It's better to live in your own land surrounded by your family and friends then to be a stranger in a foreign land.

I've lived in both. Canada is a better place to raise your family for sure, and as a society I think it's a better place to live. It's cleaner, safer, and more diverse (and I'm talking real diversity like Aba mentioned, not segregation). There's some cool stuff about the States, don't get me wrong, but my girlfriend (who is American and has visited Canada with me) and I are strongly contemplating moving to Canada. The US has a better night life culture generally speaking and like Aba said there's more to do, but generally speaking I just want a peaceful and simple life.

I don't mind illegal immigrants at all. I just hope they make an honest living and teach their kids to work hard and not cause trouble. We have enough trouble from the citizens.

Stop thinking that they can go to another country and think they deserve for free what a lot of citizens have paíd and worked for ! They just think they Can arrive and break another country law just because ! Instead of complaining about their countries, they should fight for better opportunities! Many of them have not had any issues or traumas , it’s just because they were told they will have everything for free without doing anything! It's about time human beings realise we all need a better life, we need each other, I may be living my best life today, but tomorrow, I may be fleeing for a better life, safety for my life and my family. Its sad to watch some people, telling others to go back where they come from, forgetting that tomorrow it might be them, looking for help desperately. I live in Winnipeg paying 325 rent eating out 300 groceries 100 insurance 58 and tickets for bus 30 and earnings around 2400 as a student.

gotta agree with the assessment. Due to the cost of living I been scoping out either alberta (calgary) or quebec (Quebec city), and even with quebec's outrageous tax rate, it's just better than calgary in quality of life.
