Both nations have their pros and cons (and unsavory pasts), but I find modern day Canada to be a more humane country and Canadians to be more level-headed and educated. Food quality is better and when I visit there I feel more relaxed (less worried about gun crime and violent crime overall).

Same here at Europe, especially Germany and Austria. Our safety and wealth is massive decreasing because of this. Not typically against helping people trying to give their families a better life, without the risk of being killed over dumb shit, but it's getting more and more likely here.
