Where i live in canada , i have a lot of these people in my neighborhood , they are a disgrace to canada , they are nothing but a problem for people in my neighborhood . They simply have to close that border crossing there. We cannot accept anymore people here. We maybe a big country but we have our own issues here like dealing with our homeless population. I live in a small community east of Toronto and Doug Ford is dumping the homeless from Toronto to here by the bus load.

People overseas from countries like Nigeria fly directly to the US then they travel straight to the US/Canada border and WALLAH they enter Canada without any background check, and WALLAH again they get Canadian citizenship? Its that easy huh? I might just have to do that.

Not everyone can just be considered an asylum seeekr bec of too much crimes in their countries. Grow up! Crimes happen evrywhere ieven in the USa. So if our attitude is just to let everyone come in for free to our country because their own governments are unable to fix their law and order problems, we are fkd as a nation. True asylum seekers were vicitms of war like vietnam war, Ukraine, Iraq, afghanistan (bec our own US govt caused all the strifes). African countries with civil wars. gang or drug crimes dont count because those are also our problems here in the US. If you work in a hospital like me, you will realize that the illegals crossing the borders (i think they have more sophisticated means now) bring their whole families including very sick ageing parents, disabled family members. And guess what, we are taking care of everyone of them more than our own citizens. I have no problem helping people but if our government shows more biases and leninency to the illegals more than the US citizens/legal residents, then I find that problematic. My heart breaks when the social worker would pressure me to discharge frail, sickly aging pts within nte 48 hour time frame bec medicare wont cover them and they are not eligible forrehab facilities as their status are observationinstead if inpatients while the non-citizens can just drop their chronically ill family members bec they cant take care if them as they are all working. They wont even claim them bec they are “busy”.\nThey can just do whatever they want as they dont have to worry about paying for hospital bills or have credit companies go after them. We are also taking care of their US born children but they are not paying taxes. Our co’untry is in the brink if bankruptcy bec of misplaced sympathy. If we really want to help these people, give them work visa so they can be legal and taxable, or better help their countries to help with drug wars, etc. We cannot sustain these kind of unconditional financial bleed for so long. Before we know it, the whole population outside the Us, have transplanted themselves here for free and without fiscal responsibilities.

Looks like Canada still needs to learn some lessons in this regard. Ask Italy, were complete swarms arrive at the coast dead or alive from the African continent. Helping people is ok, but it needs to happen in a structured way, so that you don’t destroy your own society. I’m from Belgium and just like any nation in Europe. Multiculturalism has been promoted since the 90’s. There is no way back, and there certainly is no room for racism because of that. However a society needs to be able keep it’s integrity intact. That needs to be decoupled from the emotional aspect.

Productive immigrants canadians move on to the US leaving Canada with chronic doctor and housing shortages. The remaining immigrants like the rest of the unproductive majority reduce productivity and standard of living. English was founded by people who thought the American Revolution was too risky. Hence the lack of telecom competition and restrictive loan practices of the big 5. As individualists we are almost as judgemental as Americans towards undisciplined clans- Russians, blacks, amer-indians,... Quebec is as different as two European peoples can be.

I'm all for people coming here to Canada, as long as they get a job, pay their taxes and keep their noses clean. Priority should be given to anyone with specialized training like doctors and trades. Honestly just about every doctor I've ever seen was originally from India or was Asian. I just don't want to have a translator to understand them, we need more people like that with some kind of education and training.

?worked in CDN 47 years. Retired now no family Dr. Gov't here sucks up to all groups but me. Taxed high all my life, except in military(very low pay). 400,000 foreigners per year into country. Why??? It's like the police think that telling them that they're going to get arrested is going to stop them. Some of these people are coming from war-torn countries and have absolutely nothing left. Some of them came from countries where there's lots of death and destruction. So I would imagine being arrested and being put into a warm cozy cell until stuff gets figured out is a sacrifice they are willing to deal with.

Quebec (montreal): Medical care, any public services rude, irresponsive and bureaucracy sucks n complicated (example: people wait for uncertainty just to renew their driving license), THE CRUELEST THING IN QUEBEC INCLUDING MONTREAL IS MEDICAL SERVICES (my god reminds me of third world countries i have ever been in), they will just ignore you heartlessly even if you have RAMQ (quebec heath care coverage), u have to have family doctor n u have to sign up to get one IN UNCERTAIN TIME, some they get family doctor within 3 years, others 5,7 years so on so forth so uncertain, so if u dont have family doctor u wont get treated, and if u have family doctor u will hve to stick to where your family doctor works at only, and to get appointment at some clinic they will put you on wait for some days or even weeks if u get the availability slots for u, if u got emergency u will wait 8,10,12 or 14 hours in pain. I feel bad for montreal citizen i swear, they r so patient with all of this while the tax is one of highest in canada. \n\nNow for rental (apartment in general), the check is crazy long it takes around 2 weeks just to rent, if u r lucky u will get taken if u r not then the landlord will take others, the 1 year lease means 1 year, so far to my experience in alberta like for example, 1 year lease but minimum period u have to stay usually around 3-6 months n after that u can leave with notice to the landlord to vacate the unit. \n\nBut in montreal, u have to find other person to transfer the lease, n if u found the person like i told u earlier, the landlord will check the person n the approval/ disapproval is by the landlord. I had to stay for one year living like hell cause the neighbors freaking so loud n partying every week end night till dawn. Couldn’t even have good sleep for work, so I called 911 two times, the police couldn’t do anything, yet the landlord n the building management kept on saying that they gave warning etc to that tenant, but they didn’t take any further action toward that, n i know they dont care, they care only for money. When i started to file complaint to the TAL(quebec rental board, they r irresponsive, complicated procedures, n in the end they dont solve any problem, on their site said that renter or landlord has to retain lawyer, the hell they r there for then? \n\nThe apartment building is tiny, tight old, the wall is thin, u can hear everything from your neighbour upstair, downstair n on your side too.. \n\nMONTREAL IS ALSO SO DENSED AND TIGHT, the main road so tight with cars parked on both sides of the road to ways only one lane on each way, cos mostly apartment building they dont provide parking spot, so they have to park on the road side, i feel bad for the bus driver i swear, with snow mounting on both side of the road makes driving bus is just so stressful, almost every neighbourhood looks dirty, trashes, people littering every where. Im Not complaining but that’s what it is, im living in montreal currently for more than one year but im just gonna move out of here lol
