This video is showing a limited viewpoint. There are hundreds of millions of people outside, interacting with their neighbors, kids playing together, people sitting on their front porches greeting people walking past. The video shows an overcast day which is likely to be cooler. A warmer day and a weekend would likely show people outside. Yesterday, I was outside and talking to my neighbors. People are outside every day, walking on the sidewalk. When I look at many foreign towns, villages (Google streetview) and see walls around houses, bars on doors and windows, I think it must be a place with a lot of thieves and criminals. The USA is very open and friendly according to many youtube videos posted by visitors from foreign countries.

The stress and the pressure we live under is what weighs us down. We do not want to deal with other peoples problems. \n We have compassion fatigue. \nI can totally relate to the person who commented that it was not always this way- especially when we had more people who loved God and less fear about everything.\n When I was a child all the kids played together in groups- until dark and dinner time. People looked out for each other.\n Now, everyone is afraid to be taken advantage of because it happens so much. \n This is very sad. \nLord, have mercy on us. We lost our way.\n The best thing to do is find a community of people to pray with and share your life with.\n Thank you for this video. We needed to hear this. \n Yes, where are the children? No one can afford them anymore.

?Agreed and Amen to this honest video observation. And When we are greedy selfish and absolutely hate people around / worried or afraid about spending money to call them over as guests mixing with other ethinicities for even a cup of tea. You must understand our culture or values in this country are solely based on what do you have for us or what can you do for me that i need to entertain your existence. Sad but true fact .. I came to America when I was 22 .. student life was fun because you have lot of friends I studied in Pennsylvania and in California.. but right after college I lived in a state called Delaware for almost 4 months.. some of the most depressing times of my life .. I experienced everything you said in your video.. at 24 I didn't have a job yet because 2008 happened and so I didn't have a car .. most of the time I am stuck in the apartment studying.. I was so desperate to even see people .. the only place I used to become happy by seeing people is when I go to the mall .. 6 o clock in the evening you don't see anyone in the apartments .. it used to be like ghost town .. I ran away from that place the first opportunity I got ..no matter how much money someone offers I am never going back to Wilmington Delaware

I worked with a guy from Ghana in Newark NJ. He had married an American woman who bossed him around and didn't really care for him. He lost a lot of money in a church pyramid scheme and I think the American diet contributed to him having a heart attack and later a stroke that killed him. I saw a video on Ghana and I really thought he would have been so much better staying in Ghana and probably would have had a much better and longer life.

This video has some truth but the time you video this one is still in spring or transition from winter to summer. The weather does not allow to hang out out side. Tape the same video in the summer. As well, it depends in the community as well this COVID-19 pandemic everyone is in door except those who work outside their homes.

Absolutely correct video with correct facts. I had gone to Boston in 2015 on my son's convocation and I used to go by foot for shopping and learn the neighborhood but I would not see a single person on the streets I could make out that everybody is there in their homes but nobody would show up out.

Great video. My first cultural shock in the US was when someone called the police ?‍♀️ on me for sitting in front of a staircase in an apartment complex. They almost charged me criminally for trespassing!!! Coming from ?? Ghana, where we co-live and co-share and co-relate, I was ? shocked. Human beings are social beings. Our innate nature is to inter-depend on others. Once that contract is broken, society won’t be be the same. Most kids in the US are raised indoors and this has serious effects on them growing up. They become anti-social, less empathetic and depressed. Another factor worth considering is the abundance of ☀️ Sunlight. Yes the sun we sometimes complain about in Africa provides vitamin D which helps your serotonin (happiness gland). So it gets worse when you have less sunshine in US and stay indoors.

I was born in Manitoba and lived here for 28 years. While the negative aspects pointed out in the video are true, hardly any of the positives of living here were touched on. Yes, we do have a month or two where you can hardly spend time outside but during the winter there are beautiful sunny days often and plenty of +25-+30 days all summer long. Manitoba has an incredible amount of festivals during the summer all across Winnipeg and small towns. We have a thriving underground EDM scene where young people explore various forms of art, dance, costrumes, and musical genres every weekend nowadays. There are many interesting cultures present here including Mennonite and Hutterite communities which are some of the most generous small town folk. We have tons of local farms which people can buy affordable organic food from. Manitobans on average are friendly people and strangers will often strike up a conversation or help get your car unstuck on a wintery day. I have travelled around Canada but I do feel like Manitoba carries a unique sense of community that other places might not have.
