The problem with the Canadian economy is that it is being destroyed by the actions and the policies of the current government. Between those horrible tax increases and the government funded lawsuits against us\nOur economy will fail. Not to worry though, after they remove Canada from the world stage and our money is worthless, the WEF will swoop in and save the day and we can all live under the tyranny of the wealthy.

The problem with Canada's economy is that the Trudeau tornado swept all the good things that could have happened to us with all kinds of weird decisions that threw our economy under the carpet and placed us in a miserable condition where it will take years for us to get back to normal!

I pay 11.5% of my income directly to pensioners as a contract worker making less than 50K in 2023. At total tax rate of 26% all inclusive. I have to live at home, and I can't find a single job that isn't contract work, and I'm a designer who's worked with F500 companies. The best Canadian rate hourly is 30$, my American contracts have paid 135$ an hour. It's such a bad deal to be a Canadian millennial. Canada has two classes. The ruling pensioner elder class which makes up 60% of the country and everyone else that they've impoverished. Canada has poor pay, worsening living standards, extremely high white collar competition, few job prospects and a disintegrating social fabric. But somehow I think this is the story of the entire commonwealth right now. So that makes us no different, and I don't really believe the grass is greener among the G7 either.

Canada’s biggest problem is it’s socialistic policies of the Liberal governments. Don’t confuse things: social programs like education and healthcare are not an exclusive marker of socialism. The balance of government interference in the economy IS. Nobody in their right mind would start a business in Canada today. \n\nSecondly, running a business means buy and resell, manufacture and sell leaving a profit. But the business of running Canada is losing money. The formula of running the country doesn’t work. We go deeper into debt every year, now to the point where it’s impossible to grow out of debt. As we allow massive immigration to counteract an aging, non-productive population, because of that negative formula, we just keep going deeper and deeper into debt. But it seems that most Canadians want that because we keep voting in the ‘robbers’. It’s time for Canadians to understand that soon a death tax will come in where all your asset value in taxes will go to the government. But that’s coming and is the only way for the government to pay down its debt.

Canada is a very passive country. Hardly any innovation and short term mentality CEOs. Most promising companies get bought by foreigners.

I really wonder why over 1M people (+2.5%) moved to Canada in 2022, making it one of the most seek out country in the world. Must be something attractive.

it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

Canada could enhance this by building out hydro for cheap electricity that meets green industry standards. Canada has been failing at this.\nRecently Germany and Japan came to Canada looking for energy deals. This would require East/West pipelines. America shot this down, they straight told Germany and Japan to stay out of their Canadian Colony. And Canada, Germany, and Japan agreed.

As a European how can I move to Canada and live (and work ofc) there?

The danger aspect of this is false, the city of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada (as of April 6th) has a murder rate 6.5 times higher than New York City's and it is also much higher than Atlanta's, keep in mind Atlanta and NYC both have gang wars going on currently (Oshawa, Ontario does not) and their murder rates are still much lower. Also, home invasions and break-ins are very common in Canada and drugs are also extremely common. Aba and Preach are both from extremely safe parts of Canada (Ottawa and Montreal). It is irresponsible to box Canada into one, especially when it could ruin lives.

I agree with your video to an extent, sure I grew up in a town with, 3rd world condtions, no clean water, no sewage, no roads, fly in fly out and you never mentioned that we have a small portion of that here too. Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

I myself went to Canada legally through Person International Airport holding Canadian visa but it took several years for the Immigration Canada to look at my application while people my other country mates were entering Canada illegally, but their case approved and were granted status. I was very disappointed the reason at that time the Canadian Immigration minister was a Somalian and migrant who was against migration.
