As a permanent resident who immigrated from Eastern Europe, passed all the stages of the official immigration program (skilled worker) I'm just shocked what is happening in Canada. Canada is lost, the problem is much deeper than you think. The main problem is not low wages, high property prices, etc, the root cause is that native Canadians are too tolerate, too kind, too polite and can't just say (and act) - get fucking out of my country, all those illegal indian students and temporary workers. \nI believe cultural damage being done to this country is much more dangerous than any possible economic benefits from mass immigration. My purpose was to immigrate to Canada not to India, luckily I have a backup plan to return to Eastern Europe but I'm really sorry for the Canadian natives who are losing their country.

Everywhere, it’s the rich that are causing most of the problems. They are luring in the immigrants. They are the ones causing the rent increases. They are the ones not providing affordable housing. And on and on it goes.

All by design, Gov’t allows and causes these sort of tenant problems in the first place to get out of hand, with their unjust laws supporting criminal behaviour to occur. So, hypothetical thought here. If the landlord cant pay the mortgage cause the tenant wont pay, then when the bank takes over, will the bank have the same problem as the landlord did or will the bank be able to have the tenant removed quickly?

Immigration is not the root cause of homelessness, but cutting immigration is definitely a necessary first step in solving the problem.

This country has plummeted drastically this past decade. The immigration is absolutely ridiculous. Doesn't matter from where. This government is completely disconnected with reality. They are causing the problems we have right now. The petty crime rate is growing like crazy where I live. I am an immigrant from Brazil. I am having to deal with issues that I had back there which was unthinkable before this crazy immigration rate. Also the majority of immigration is from one or two countries. How does that improve diversity? We are creating ghettos and all the problems associated to it. We bring so many people from the same culture that it is becoming our culture. Very soon, we will have to adapt. This is crazy and irresponsible. The problem is not immigration, is the way we are doing immigration under JT.

Also have countries invest in their own education systems so they don’t have to come to the west and change the concept that western countries is where you can make it. Canada needs people for low end/tough jobs, but also high end jobs. The problem is importing a bunch of people into a broken system is not going to do anything but cause problems for the most part. Canada should have invested in the people already here, change the laws and policies, get rid of the red tape and have common sense legislation.

The problem is the type of people the government is bringing in. I'm an immigrant myself, living here for 20 years, and I remember the ton of paperwork I had to submit to prove I'm worth contributing to Canada's growth and economy. Today the government is only interested in bringing in criminals, refugees, low quality - low wage workers who won't contribute a dime to Canada's economy but become a burden on taxpayers. This mindless immigration has now caused exponential increase in crime, and poor productivity in Canada's economy. Canada under JT is not the Canada I came for, and the Canada I knew when I first landed here.

As a Canadian I truly belive our gov in canada is next level incompetent and they don't think immigrants are a problem at all, if not a solution cause we have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt for some reason, indians are our second most common race as well as very much involved with our politics and police even though about 7 years ago there wasn't a single Indian in canada hardly. We also get mostly low grade migrants without much education and are advertising heavily to India and Africa to come start a life in canada for some fucking reason even though where I live average wages are about 45k and average rent is 2.2x higher then 8 years ago and most groceries are about 40 to 80% higher since trudeau got elected too and you make less money often times here for the same jobs so all that probably contributes a lot too to why this is happening

Not many people from many country willing to leave their country anymore. Life is way better and improved in those country since Justin and trump or Biden start selling their lands. The problem is with how immigration is set up. The general population is ok with immigration as long as most people coming in adapt at least somewhat to Canadian culture while integrating their own.\n\nI'd say thats what Trudeau had/has in mind cause thats what Montreal is like. \nBut its like that cause the Quebec government focuses on secularism & French Nationality which creates a sort of blended dynamic that's still uniquely Quebecois.\n\nThat doesnt work so well in other Provinces.\n\nAlternately, the goverment may be trying to turn Canada into a true melting pot, which would create a different Canadian culture and identity than we currently have. \n\nHowever, that only works out when you bring in an equal # of people from different Countries wnd ethnicities.\n\nWhat we have right now is a system that seems to bring a certain percentage of immigrants per Country. Using that math, India and China will always send out more people as they're the most populous and crowded. Hence why Eastern Canada has a lot of Indian immigrants and Western has a lot of Chinese.\n\nThe government will need to get a handle on it and at least even it out if not also slow the flow, lest we risk a rise in xenophobia/isolationism and racism which has already started to make the rounds.
