It's almost as if Trudeau doesn't even know who Donald Trump is! Speaking to him directly and addressing him as Donald instead of President Trump is a blatant show of disrespect. \n\nGuess what Canada. We don't need you for ANYTHING! I already boycott Canadian Club. Not for political reasons, but I don't like drinking bever piss. And I'll start buying my maple syrup from Vermont. So, you keep your shit, we'll keep our shit, and good luck to you.

A month ago, I was still proud of America. The Clown show we are stuck with, has made that almost impossible.

I am always amazed how almost EVERY other World Leader, can speak clearly and professionally, without all the BS that idiot Trump spews every time he opens his fat, orange face.\nGO CANADA!

I almost forgot what an actual leader sounds like. It's sad that so many of my fellow Americans let fear mongering and hate take root in their psychy to the point they thought a barely literate megalomaniac was the best choice to lead the country. This is one of the rare being black in this country is a benefit. We're used to being overburdened and neglected, so it's nothing new to us. But, everyone else is in for a rough ride. Good luck.

Trump's Import Tariffs Are To Combat a Non-Existing Problem \n \nThe import tariffs that US President Donald Trump has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China are meant to combat a non-existent problem, economics editor Jonathan Witteman recently analysed. Trump sees the structural trade deficit (the difference between the export and import of goods and services) that the United States has with almost all of its trading partners as a sign of weakness. Contrary to almost all political left-wing and also right-wing economists, he believes that a trade deficit is bad for a country's economy and believes that the US is being cheated by countries that export more to the US than they import. \n \n'I have said that the EU must make up for its enormous deficit with the US by purchasing our oil and gas on a large scale. If not, punitive tariffs will follow', Trump said last December, for example, about the trade balance between the US and the European Union. \n \nA connection between a bad economy and having a trade deficit cannot be found, political economy professor Andres Freytag concludes in the analysis. There are many countries in the world, such as Germany, with a trade surplus but a poorly performing economy. The opposite is more likely to be true: in countries with a trade surplus, more people are unemployed. This was shown by the Peterson Institute. \n \nTrump's tariffs are more dangerous for the economy, because they reduce imports and exports, partly because other countries in turn impose punitive tariffs in response. Trump's announced import tariffs during his first term even led to a larger trade deficit and to 7.2 billion dollars in welfare losses in the US.

I cannot stand Trudeau. I have almost not agreed to a sentence this man has spoken in his entire leadership. He nailed here.

Canada is a failing disaster as long as Trudeau and his politics guide Canada. You fools that rally around and support this corrupt governance will get what you think you want. By the time you realize what you agreed to, we won't be able to help you. Biden almost did this country in ( not that he was running the country, who knows who was but he was in the seat), if camela won we would have been screwed. Germany and all of the UK will put people in prison for an unfavorable statement, public prayer is a criminal act in the UK. If this is not Naziism what is? Your countries are collapsing around your feet just as ours was. Pull the chute, people. There is a reason no one wants to live in N Korea.

As a South African, I want to say that this trade war, as well as the hostile approach of Trump towards Canada, is devastating. If one were not experiencing it directly, it would be almost impossible to believe. This is such a remarkable speech that it will go down in history as one of the truly great speeches in times of crisis. It is entirely correct to address the American and Canadian peoples directly, as the Prime Minister has done. They are both clear victims of this madness, Americans misled, and Canadians the target, of this senseless trade war. If one reads History, there is another dimension to this, and I hate to say it. Canadians have to prepare themselves for worse. These types of antics by the aggressor usually involve, finger pointing, contrived border incidents, plausibly deniable incursions and other actions, by the aggressor, which one can find if the preludes to the WW1 and WW2 are studied. I am not sure if you have porcupines in Canada, but you need to rapidly become one.

i almost feel sad to see him go and not speaking in public anymore. His voice is so well tuned for the moment.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau was so excited his tampon almost fell off!
2025-03-04 0
This man is so hated by his own people that he resigned 2 months ago and his replacement is set to take office sometime soon. Don’t let his way with words sway you the way it did Canadians for almost a decade. That is all he is— all words and no action.
2025-03-04 0
It's getting to the point that as an american. I almost just want to move somewhere else. This administration is a clown show. It's tiring

I'm with Mr. Trudeau on this one. Anybody with at least two brain cells...do you disagree? What the hell is wrong with people that would believe in this scum. How do you know if dump and muskrat really have your back? It sucks to be you. This is almost unbelievable. Pops, sorry, you go for this puke, I'm out and you have nothing to offer me. I don't need anything from you or your business or anything you wanted me to have that has blood money all over it. I'm a child of God's before your sperm donation. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, DAD. Congratulations on paying more for stock thanks to these idiots. If you are not for me, you ARE against me. I call bullshit on every single MAN on earth, including ME!

Trump has just sped up China’s rise to dominance. Almost as if he has given up aspirations for being the global power.

I’ve been struggling financially for almost 2 years. I can’t survive much more of this
2025-03-04 0
It’s almost like Trump is being influenced by something or someone who wants to destroy the west.

Lots of Vets bashing Trump. I was Infantry for 27 years and most recent Vets were raised in a DEI/Woke environment and on a good day, about 10% of Vets actually fight while the rest are in the 28th Mess Kit repair detachment, never been in danger and the first to whine that they have PTSD. The real soldiers almost unilitaterly support Trump because we are the ones who do the job. And Trudeau is a pretty boy left wing little Phag.

I’ll say first that I’m a Canadian…\n\nTrudeau and his government has been in power almost 10years and in that time Canada has gotten progressively worse—the drug crisis; immigration; inflation etc etc. I find it shameful that it took a foreign leader (Trump) to ignite changes within my country. Are the tariffs fair to Canada? No, absolutely not but Trump is not the president of Canada—right, wrong or indifferent he’s looking out for the US. \n\nJustin Trudeau is a corrupt lame duck prime minister who technically resigned a month ago. \n\nTrump will listen to Canada and respect Canada when a new government is place
2025-03-04 0
Trump chose to do this its not Canadas choice and I simple do not see how its justified. This is a tax on Americans make no mistake its OUR prices that will go up as well as Canadians. This sure smells of Russian influence to me, its almost as if Trump is trying to hurt America, he is for sure tearing up the Government. If Putin had a wish list separating us from our staunch allies would be #1
2025-03-04 0
Trump is a dictator and the sooner people realize it the more swiftly we can deal with it. If somebody doesn’t reach in and stop him it will become too late. His hope is to partner up with Putin and have the two countries work harmoniously. Imagine that Russia/USA almost has a ring to it. Trump is too stupid to know what he’s doing is going to result in his own demise. We can all see it coming I just hope somebody has enough balls to stop him

Someone remind me the tariffs trump put on steel and other goods his first term? Almost like he’s doing the same exact thing

I was almost born in Canada but because of an thyroid illness they did not aprove my mom to come to Canada (late 50`s) So my dad and grandfather decided to stay in the Netherlands. I have a soft spot for Canada........ could have been my home country. Good luck to all of us against dictators and bullies in this world. Who would have thought this will happen after 80 years of peace after a terrible world war and now becoming a threath again because of a few, so called wise men but actually todlers that never want to give in.

A speech that actually makes sense. A whole speech dedicated to a single topic with complete sentences, delivering a clear message without personal insults or belittling. Something Vladimir Trump is incapable of. Almost like a parallel world/universe.
2025-03-04 0
While I didn't vote for Trump... The idea that this will hit Trump voters almost makes the financial suffering I may have to endure worth it. They will finally feel the consequences of their stupid choices on a personal level. This is the only thing that will speak to them. Thank you Justin Trudeau. I am not looking forward to this personally. But it's important that we as a nation face the consequences of our actions.
2025-03-04 0
I'm usually reasonable enough to realize that while I may disagree with many policy decisions, there's usually a relatively coherent line of thought to back said actions up. The problem here is that there’s no clear logic behind using tariffs as a tool to curb fentanyl trafficking or immigration. I'm not going to speak on the issue of immigration at the Canadian border because there simply is none. Yes, there are illegals from Canada, but almost 100% of them are from overstaying visas rather than crossing the border unlawfully. So let's talk about fentanyl. \n\nMost fentanyl in the US originates from China, often in precursor form, and is then processed in Mexico before being smuggled into the states. But it's typically trafficked in small, high potency quantities, often hidden in legitimate shipments or through mail, and only on very rare occasions is it being brought in by individuals crossing the border. It has _never_ been documented to have shipped in as part of large scale commercial imports, so a 25% tariff on legal trade with Canada and Mexico doesn’t directly target the black market supply chain at all.\n\nIf we take Trump’s reasoning at face value, the argument seems to be that he wants to exert economic pressure on Mexico and Canada as a means of having them crack down harder on drug trafficking networks. But the issue is that fentanyl simply isn’t coming in through mass import channels, so all this looks like is a punitive measure without a clear mechanism to actually achieve its stated goal. And the implications? Drastically higher costs for consumers in the US, Canada, and Mexico, with absolutely nothing to show for it.
2025-03-04 0
Sure! Here’s a version that sticks closer to yo\n\nWhen Canada imposed reciprocal tariffs on the U.S., who do you think felt the bigger hit? The U.S. has a much stronger economy, so it could absorb the impact better than Canada. Same thing with Russia—almost every major country hit them with sanctions, yet their economy is growing at an estimated 4%, faster than most. This just shows that economic strength and resilience matter more than just who imposes tariffs or sanctions.

I have been a pro-America citizen for almost 79 years, but our administration is dead wrong. Canada is the best neighbor we could possibly have, and we have slapped them in the face. This administration loves authoritarian leaders and dismisses the interests of our long-time friends and allies. Why would we ever believe our president when he promises to make life better for us. He does not care for any of us, unless we are one of the few with money and/or power.
2025-03-04 0
His commie but is almost gone, just like his daddy fidel he is a clown

I cant believe how many people don't realize almost ALL the fentanyl is made locally.. there are no trade routes to stop when people just buy it's legal ingredients online

I am Canadian and I don't trust Trudeau about Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a very serious problem in Canada. You can find it in schools and around corners of almost every community. Our government has no intention to solve Fentanyl problem here. If so, its not possible to stop the flow of Fentanyl from Canada to USA.

As a German - apart from the content which is no less than justified - just technically comparing Trudeau´s speech with Donald Trump´s verbal outcome - what an incredible difference in niveau & tone. Isn't it almost tragic how little skill it took to run the U.S and even worse, how low the common-sense-threshold must be for a half of the American people to make this happen a second time. Embarrassing.

4:10 this guy has no right to talk to the American people. Almost as if he is trying to turn American people againts its own government. Pretty sure thats an act of war. 1995—Subsec. (j). Pub. L. 104–65, §9(1)(A),

Thank Mr. Trump for this disaster and its insulting attitude toward our friend and ally Canada….this is who we voted into office…..a sad day in US history! Trump acts on impulse ….on almost everything….no thought process…..no discussion with his “Yes” cabinet of puppets who rubber stamps everything Trump wants. The Prime Minister is spot on…..but Mr. Trump is unable and unwilling to act like an adult.

anyone that doesnt think shit gets worse before it gets better is delusional. weve kicked the can down the road for decades and now were at a breaking point. Tarrifs are mad toi bring companies back to america making our country more self sufficient and not so reliant on everyone else which will strenghten us. TSMC has already made a deal to start manufacturing chips here which control everything we know and china could stop that at any moment. Honda is coming here as well. All in all almost one trillion has been committed to invest in the us and this is a huge win for the long run. Alot of these countries have had tarriffs on us for ages and the people speaking out against it is because its hurting their pockets. The long run this is mandatory and we should have never let manufacturing go in the first place.

China almost owns most of Canada. Why is Justin Trudeau not talking about the drug factories that they have inside Canada?

It's almost unbelievable ?

I'm American, Texan even. I've fought against Trump and this insanity since 2015. My wife is a trans woman who immigrated from the Philippines almost 20 years ago. I want my fellow Americans to wake up and remove Trump from more than this country but they are just too damned stupid apparently.
2025-03-04 0
If Trudeau has all these border protections then answer me this. Where was his border policies for the past 4 years. Trudeau you can not call this a trade war. This is a border war with our trusted neighbor. Trudeau is almost gone because he never was a good leader.

It’s almost like Trump is a Russian asset…

i probably have no business asking this question, because there's a number of people who don't care for Justin, but that seems to be the way it is with almost all leaders.\nMy question is this:\nDoes Justin Have To Go?\n??\n?️

Canada looks so pathetic almost in tears?. A lesson learned not to rest your shoulders entirely on US billions.

I want him to be my leader…almost anyone but Trump.Trump isnt a smart guy, he’s a great conman

Trumps negotiation tactics have proven as almost 100% success rate such far. The far left liberal Canada is not aligned with the American people anymore
2025-03-04 0
TRUMP IS RAPIDLY GAINING CONTROL OF THE FBI, THE CIA, THE ARMY, NAVY AND AIR FORCE. THE NAZI STATE IS ALMOST COMPLETE. YOU AMERICANS ARE ALREADY SCREWED BECAUSE YOU FAIL TO ACT. GO AWAY, STAY AWAY FROM CANADA. WE WILL GET VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY NASTY. VERY, VERY NASTY.
2025-03-04 0
I am a U.S. citizen, almost 66 years old. For the second time in my life, I am **ashamed** of my President. Trump is causing damage that will take literally DECADES to repair. Yet again, another country's leader shows his sound, prudent, measured, intelligent and **honorable** character - in such stark contrast to ours.

European here. I have never been stiffed by a Canadian customer. Thank you for facilitating the move of my transatlantic market from the U.S. to Canada. Funny thing: Quebecois sounds almost exactly like Bruxellois. Vive la Liberté!

The US starting a trade war with Canada is almost as dumb as Russia starting a war in Ukraine.
